You need at least 16% critical chance in your build , you want to be able to inflict critical strikes (those yellow numbers) which pops up as i deal damage with whirling thrust animation in order to generate qi energy to replenish the plainton fan. All your gear, your spirit, your relic , your skill tree thrust stance abilities, your pills should contribute to building up critical chance to do critical strikes. I forgot to mention this, you might want to respec into having maxed out stamina which will immensely help with the whirling thrust ability , use celestial pills at the dog merchant to increase your stamina gauge. Ideally , you want to have your critical chance and stamina fully maxed out for this fight. Let me know if you have any questions 😉

I smacked Radahn with 5 different builds. With this guy the only effective way of beating this mf is by using the fan 4 times on his ass. And using a build that recharges the fan. Even so still a pain. With Radahn there are so many builds that just 3 shot Radahn lol. He’s not that hard if you destroy him before he can use all his annoying Miquella shit.
After 2-3 hours, I beat this boss and came to youtube to see how other people did it and SEE THIS. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Who would have thought you could do it this way because not me lmao
Took me hours of just pain - I was also curious - I cannot stop laughing omg. I am literally using the same build as my regular build too - but did not even realize he can be stunlock after the shield is gone.
Not me either given whenever I use the fan he just walks through it taking guard damage but not letting me attack he literally attacks me through the tornado the entire time. How do you make it so effective?

Just beat this boss after nearly 12 hours of almost nonstop gameplay. Definitely harder than Elden Ring’s Promised Consort Radahn. The key to the fight was using the fan to break his shield at least three times. Also, don't underestimate the Life-Saving Pill and Soul Remigration Pill. They can be crucial during the final 2-5% of his health. These saved me from death during my successful attempt!
@@MUSIC3787 you can say that as much as you want but it feels more like a linear action adventure game to me. Does a single fromsoft souls game have a skill tree, multiple actual combos/move sets, upgrade for special abilities or a genuine story mode? None of the above unless you count Sekiro but that’s also way to different from a plain old souls game. The things that black myth Wukong has above a souls-like reminds me more of insomniac Spider-Man, Sifu, GoT, but not something like Elden Ring or Bloodborne.
This boss battle is insane. I thought Yellow Loong and Scorpionlord is bullshit, but this one is something else. I tried your guide but it's no longer do able, as long as whirlwind attack start, it'll stop almost instantly. So here's what I do: 1. Learn Focused Spinning 2. Bring the tornado vessel 3. Wear full Golden Armor set 4. Some critical chance and damage from various sources (skill tree, weapon, medicine, etc) 5. Immobilize skill How to: 1. When the battle starts, move a bit closer to Erlang and cast your tornado. Wait until it breaks the focus bar 2. When Erlang's focus bar breaks, do immobilize, and spin your weapon. This will charge the Qi for another tornado later 3. Repeat It requires a bit of skill (dodging mostly) because when he enters his next phase, you need to dodge some of his attacks. When he land, cast tornado, wait for it to break, immobilize, spin weapon again and again. You can bring cloud step to dodge some of his attacks too. I beat him quite fast doing this
@@superheroprotagonist Just make sure to use consumables mid fight. You can pause and use all the goodies free revive. Max heal and just keep switching out potions and its like soooo easy at that point.
@@kwizatzart Just use the Sunset of the Nine Skies drink and you will get the Fan back fast, and just light attack combo him to death, combined with cloud steps.
The patch fixed this i believe, he doesnt get stun locked anymore. However the overall build focusing on getting crit damage to get qi for the fan is good. You just gotta actually learn his moves still 😅
Figures I just got to him and this is my go to stance and attack. Just tried it and the attack would just stop after a circle or two. Worked normal elsewhere but I was so confused WTF was happening in this fight. Guess they do not want us using this skill at all on him. Oh well, I'll figure him out.
@rottn1580 lol same was trying him last night, and came on today to the patch....if you follow every step in this, and use "Sunset of the nine skies" drink in your gourd it gives qi each use of the gourd. Literally just beat him now by just changing that little thing up
They patched this boss to make it harder? I breezed through this entire game and the only instances of "difficulty" (it's fake difficulty, it's sporadic garbage) was this guy, and the final Loong. Wasn't a fan of the final boss completely changing my stance/moveset either but Stone Monkey is super simple. This game come the end is a 6/10 for me. It's a clearly first time project. The gameplay for 2 of 80 bosses is drastically different, and just, not fun. Also the giant rock in Chapter 6 was like watching paint dry. Get all the Skandas for a giant waiting match was insane. Chapters 1-3 quality. 4-6 rushed.
thank you for the fan trick as i did not know it worked while his shield is up. I guess the trick is to not hit him while the fan is stunning him or he will start attacking. I fought him him regular way however this video helped tremendously. This secret find and ending is the best I have experienced in awhile.

This fight is made for you to use the spell binding spell that gives you more damage but takes away all summons. It’s hard but if you coook you can beat him.
Beat him after about 3 hours and several close attempts. Its a demanding but fun fight were you have to memorize a lot. I enjoy the game a lot more than expected.

Took me 30mins , 17 tries on Promised Consort Radahn. This guy, took me 2hrs, with a crazy sweaty level I've ever experienced (last one made me so sweaty like him was Ashina Isshin). I tried to fight Erlang at the end of Chapter 5 so no Great Sage stuff, just old Iron-Tough Armor and Golden Loong Staff. And then, after I defeated him, I realized that he could use my Lightning from Golden Loong Staff combo to x2 his damage and prolong the Lightning-infused status of his spear. Wow.
theres no fucking way bro i was using that staff too, no wonder he was doing so much damage, it was so ridiculous i was getting 2-3 shot and had to switch to a more tanky build when all i needed to do was switch the staff 😭
Hey man, even though it's patched, the fan vessel strategy helped me tremendously. Thanks for the video. I was finally able to beat this guy using the fan to nuke his shield and using the Qi armor with crits to make the fan recharge. Had to use the fan 6 times in the fight, but I got him. **edit** I also used the drink that fills Qi when you drink from the gourde to help the recharge along as I took many drinks, lol.
after a few tries with this juicy method, worked like a charm. The comments helped me, you really need that drink"Sunset of the nine skies" , in this way, you don't need to ever use medicines, i had 17 but didn't wanted to use them , so i just used gourd lol.
I normally use smash stance and have never used thrust but now I'm seeing how much easier he is with it I'm going to switch. Ps how do u do the whirling attack I've been practicing it outside the arena but not working! Do u need an 3nemy infront for it to work ?
This is the second strat video for this boss I've seen that was supposed to make this boss easy but he keeps dodging the whirling thrusts after the first few hits. I wonder how many times you had to record this to make it look so easy.
What build are you running so that your Vessal's meter fills up so quickly??? Takes an age with mine, even with the full Golden set. Also, stunlocking doesn't really seem to be working (anymore?) on him.
It doesn’t work man, what advices can I have to help make it work I do the whirling thing after his shield is destroyed and he gets hit a just few times and then back off and proceed to attack me, it’s way shorter than in your video. I have the same build as you but with much more point in critical hits chance and damage plus other stuff. I’m higher level, does the game adapt the difficulty for higher level because my erlang don’t get stag in the whirling thing for very long like in your vid, and my Qi does not fill and can’t use it on second stage it’s roughly at half…
I finally did it I don’t know who I did it I was high, but I got him with that rock transformation and just basically did enough dps before running out of gourds and I used the spine shooting fuban staff cause bro a 25% crit chance is gold plus the fan
So that's where that fan is useful. Never thought of it. Will try it right now. Update: it got easier, but not enough. Best I did was to lower his hp to one third
i beated him normally and he was so fucking hard, i thought after consort Radhan that i will not face a harder boss but this man made me question my life. This boss is the hardest so far, him and Yellow long were the only two i struggled against, i still have to finish the game tho so idk who and how hard is the final boss

i think the patch unintentionally made this boss 5 times harder than prepatch to prevent the cheese. i think they made it so after 3 stagger hits he gets super armor so u can no longer just stunlock him. but they also considerably reduced the amount of Qi u get per hit (even from crits) that one is rough ... having to go thru a full phase of shield because i cannot generate enough Qi to use the fan.

@@davidemaio9751 I defeated him in nearly 2 hours I tried many method and I didnt use this method.finally I find my own method and it worked after I found this took me 5-6 try now I ll explain My advice until reach phase 2 dont use anything and try with max pillar stance just collect focus and release he cant touch you while you are on top of staff but you need collect at least one focus for getting no hit when you reach phase 2 just dodge the big axe and use tornado and after the shield broke use max wandering wight be fast for reach to phase 3 dont let him to create new shield just constantly hit him and he will fly and throw a lot of spear just use cloud step and wait for end of his movements now use your ring of fire and constantly use full three focus with pillar stance and hit him repeat this until he dies but be carefull he can throw spears again if this happen just use your cloud step again also he will more agresive play careful just try stay in fire and using your stance surely you will achive to kill him it can get some try but if you have little skill you can handle it with my method alternatively you can use soul remigration after phase 3 against to possiblitie of die and also use loong aura ampflicition it will increase your attack. note:equip full monkey kings set and staff ,about other items just equip attack increaser curioses and soaks and dont forget always use gourd if your health above half my reccomend supreme gourdone last thing if you break his shield in phase 3 use your transformation my adigourdumbral abyys cuz I have all tranaformations and tried all of them against him and umbral worked more.
What feels insane to me is watching you, somehow, consistently get him into a stun-lock. Then when I try to do it, he manages to back off or start up a move that knocks me out of the move. Am I missing something? Or is this maybe less consistent than advertised?
In the 3rd phase when he uses the double laser full screen, use pluck of many and move away from them (clouds step doesn’t work for this) , he won’t agro to you

You can slightly still use this tactic just not the poke part also he’s the only boss who doesn’t get completely stun locked by the wind spell every other boss still gets stun locked
After the patch you can use Sunset of the Nine skies drink which will give good amounts of qi, as well as the build in this video. Just beat him doing this thanks
What i did was going all out on attack and making a quick job of it. I used the Yaksha armor set upgraded to mythical. Using dispel. Turtle treasure which increases heavy attacks considerably. Attack and defend boosting pils. Equipping everything that boosts attack. I melted his health bar.
Oh the Yamaha armour set ! Congrats 🙌🏻 😊 on defeating him!! Nice, but its damage dealt and damage taken , I can see you using defensive pulls to negate that. Ah yes, the turtle treasure and the tree skill ability to quickly charge heavy attacks on smash stance but thrust stance I find works best on him yeah , using loads of resources to defeat erlang is crazy haha What transformation were you using ?
This fight would be perfectly fine if he didn’t have 5 fucking health bars and technically 6 cause he can regenerate his first one if you don’t get him down fast enough
Yea, my experience when i do the spiraling attacks, he consistently dodges out of the stun lock, not giving me the chance to build back up my QI to reuse my fan vessel
Even when I immobilize him, he just does the same. In the video, it only shows him dodging once, but for me, he keeps doing it... Maybe that patched it, idk
Looks very easy, but I find it VERY difficult to keep him close enough for the whirling strikes. He always gets knocked back unless he is in a corner. For some reason he stays put really well in yours. Mine he just falls way far back. After that, it's extremely easy for this approach to go awry and then it all falls apart like dominos.

The whole purpose of this build is to generate qi energy quickly to recharge the plainton fan 🪭 to defeat erlang shen.

he is the hardest bos in wukong but he is way easier than consort radahn
They said prime consort Radahn was the hardest souls boss. Black myth Wukong isn’t even a souls game and I had a much harder time beating this guy.

Fixed an issue where certain enemies could get stuck motion in specific situations.
I was wondering why it didn't work... He kept attacking when he should be stunlocked.

Yes, you cannot hit him while he is being hit by the fan tornado , wait until it finishes its animation then start to whirl twirl him
This fight is made for you to use the spell binding spell that gives you more damage but takes away all summons. It’s hard but if you coook you can beat him.
That’s how I beat him. None of the other strategies worked for me

Beat him after about 3 hours and several close attempts. Its a demanding but fun fight were you have to memorize a lot. I enjoy the game a lot more than expected.

Took me 30mins , 17 tries on Promised Consort Radahn.
This guy, took me 2hrs, with a crazy sweaty level I've ever experienced (last one made me so sweaty like him was Ashina Isshin). I tried to fight Erlang at the end of Chapter 5 so no Great Sage stuff, just old Iron-Tough Armor and Golden Loong Staff.
And then, after I defeated him, I realized that he could use my Lightning from Golden Loong Staff combo to x2 his damage and prolong the Lightning-infused status of his spear.

theres no fucking way bro i was using that staff too, no wonder he was doing so much damage, it was so ridiculous i was getting 2-3 shot and had to switch to a more tanky build when all i needed to do was switch the staff 😭

Hey man, even though it's patched, the fan vessel strategy helped me tremendously. Thanks for the video. I was finally able to beat this guy using the fan to nuke his shield and using the Qi armor with crits to make the fan recharge. Had to use the fan 6 times in the fight, but I got him. **edit** I also used the drink that fills Qi when you drink from the gourde to help the recharge along as I took many drinks, lol.

after a few tries with this juicy method, worked like a charm. The comments helped me, you really need that drink"Sunset of the nine skies" , in this way, you don't need to ever use medicines, i had 17 but didn't wanted to use them , so i just used gourd lol.
yeah, sunset of the nine skies helps replenish qi with each sip! and also the right soaks to increase crit chance

I normally use smash stance and have never used thrust but now I'm seeing how much easier he is with it I'm going to switch. Ps how do u do the whirling attack I've been practicing it outside the arena but not working! Do u need an 3nemy infront for it to work ?
This is the second strat video for this boss I've seen that was supposed to make this boss easy but he keeps dodging the whirling thrusts after the first few hits. I wonder how many times you had to record this to make it look so easy.
What build are you running so that your Vessal's meter fills up so quickly??? Takes an age with mine, even with the full Golden set. Also, stunlocking doesn't really seem to be working (anymore?) on him.
Those vessels are MASSIVE STRONG and it’s even cooler when you see someone use them as they are intended. It just wasn’t obvious to me. Good stuff

How you do the spam at the start?
It doesn’t work man, what advices can I have to help make it work I do the whirling thing after his shield is destroyed and he gets hit a just few times and then back off and proceed to attack me, it’s way shorter than in your video. I have the same build as you but with much more point in critical hits chance and damage plus other stuff. I’m higher level, does the game adapt the difficulty for higher level because my erlang don’t get stag in the whirling thing for very long like in your vid, and my Qi does not fill and can’t use it on second stage it’s roughly at half…
Would the staff spin move work better than the poke attack?

I finally did it I don’t know who I did it I was high, but I got him with that rock transformation and just basically did enough dps before running out of gourds and I used the spine shooting fuban staff cause bro a 25% crit chance is gold plus the fan

i beated him normally and he was so fucking hard, i thought after consort Radhan that i will not face a harder boss but this man made me question my life. This boss is the hardest so far, him and Yellow long were the only two i struggled against, i still have to finish the game tho so idk who and how hard is the final boss

i think the patch unintentionally made this boss 5 times harder than prepatch to prevent the cheese. i think they made it so after 3 stagger hits he gets super armor so u can no longer just stunlock him. but they also considerably reduced the amount of Qi u get per hit (even from crits) that one is rough ... having to go thru a full phase of shield because i cannot generate enough Qi to use the fan.

@@davidemaio9751 I defeated him in nearly 2 hours I tried many method and I didnt use this method.finally I find my own method and it worked after I found this took me 5-6 try now I ll explain My advice until reach phase 2 dont use anything and try with max pillar stance just collect focus and release he cant touch you while you are on top of staff but you need collect at least one focus for getting no hit when you reach phase 2 just dodge the big axe and use tornado and after the shield broke use max wandering wight be fast for reach to phase 3 dont let him to create new shield just constantly hit him and he will fly and throw a lot of spear just use cloud step and wait for end of his movements now use your ring of fire and constantly use full three focus with pillar stance and hit him repeat this until he dies but be carefull he can throw spears again if this happen just use your cloud step again also he will more agresive play careful just try stay in fire and using your stance surely you will achive to kill him it can get some try but if you have little skill you can handle it with my method alternatively you can use soul remigration after phase 3 against to possiblitie of die and also use loong aura ampflicition it will increase your attack.
note:equip full monkey kings set and staff ,about other items just equip attack increaser curioses and soaks and dont forget always use gourd if your health above half my reccomend supreme gourdone last thing if you break his shield in phase 3 use your transformation my adigourdumbral abyys cuz I have all tranaformations and tried all of them against him and umbral worked more.

What feels insane to me is watching you, somehow, consistently get him into a stun-lock. Then when I try to do it, he manages to back off or start up a move that knocks me out of the move. Am I missing something? Or is this maybe less consistent than advertised?

In the 3rd phase when he uses the double laser full screen, use pluck of many and move away from them (clouds step doesn’t work for this) , he won’t agro to you
During the 1 clone laser eyes phase, just dodge around ! I use cloud step when he is in the air about to shoot projectiles , it’s great to use a decoy to bait him

You can slightly still use this tactic just not the poke part also he’s the only boss who doesn’t get completely stun locked by the wind spell every other boss still gets stun locked

After the patch you can use Sunset of the Nine skies drink which will give good amounts of qi, as well as the build in this video. Just beat him doing this thanks
Yeah this method would be genuinely amazing if they guy would stop dodging. Literally everytime im trying to do it he keeps dodging back
What i did was going all out on attack and making a quick job of it. I used the Yaksha armor set upgraded to mythical. Using dispel. Turtle treasure which increases heavy attacks considerably. Attack and defend boosting pils. Equipping everything that boosts attack. I melted his health bar.

Ah yes, the turtle treasure and the tree skill ability to quickly charge heavy attacks on smash stance but thrust stance I find works best on him

This fight would be perfectly fine if he didn’t have 5 fucking health bars and technically 6 cause he can regenerate his first one if you don’t get him down fast enough
Yea, my experience when i do the spiraling attacks, he consistently dodges out of the stun lock, not giving me the chance to build back up my QI to reuse my fan vessel
Even when I immobilize him, he just does the same. In the video, it only shows him dodging once, but for me, he keeps doing it... Maybe that patched it, idk
Looks very easy, but I find it VERY difficult to keep him close enough for the whirling strikes. He always gets knocked back unless he is in a corner. For some reason he stays put really well in yours. Mine he just falls way far back. After that, it's extremely easy for this approach to go awry and then it all falls apart like dominos.
