Hi how you doing ? Awesome informative video. I have ordered the Sony fx30 with XLR unit with the 18-105mm and 70-180mm lenses. Now would the Dji Ts 3 mini be able to take this setup? Can it take the camera with the lenses , even one of them? I'll be waiting for your reply to know whether I need this or the Rs 3 pro. Thanks so much in advance
Hi as for the 18-105 that should totally work as long as you are not using a cage. For the 70-180 that may not work

Can you use the gimbal with another quick coupler that has a v-shaped support for the lens? both in vertical and horizontal format? I'm going to do a similar setup and I'm afraid of making the lens heavy just with the support of the camera

Hi there is a setting in the camera you may need to change in order to let the record button actually function. I don't remember where it is as I don't have this gimbal anymore but hope this helps!!

Hi, Cool video, do you confirm all the features work with the Fx30 ? like zoom control, 360 rolls ? or you always need the usb cable ? or some of them do not work at all ?
I can confirm everything EXCEPT zoom control as I do not have a lens with that capability

Yes that combo would work no problem, you just may not be able to use a cage on the camera for weight distribution

That would be really sweet! Using the 18-35 and fx30 for a wedding this weekend and off to Atlanta for Axanar on Monday so maybe something I can play around with in a few weeks when I’m back.

There is a setting in the camera that you have to set to on in order to have start/stop control over bluetooth
@@ReachFilms hi no, the record Button on the gimbal works Perfect! I use no BT . But when i Presse the „playback Button „ on the FX30 it does Not Work. In my case with USB Cable on

Hi! Yes it is compatible, you can use either Bluetooth or usb c they work about the same so it’s just whatever you prefer.

It’s going to depend on what camera you are using, also you may not be able to use a cage. If it’s the fx30 should work without a cage for sure.

hey! it is compatible with bluetooth and if you aren't using a cage im sure you could use that lens while its at 18mm, however at 105mm im not sure you will be able to balance it
@@ReachFilms DJI RS3 Mini can support weight up to 2kg .. fx 30 646g. sony microphone 75g..sony lens 18-105 482 g.. smalling cage 195 g.. total 1.4 kg. It should fit perfectly. So the balance should be there.. right?
@@valeriomazzanti8681 although it may fit within the weight category, balancing becomes the bigger issue, if the weight is too unevenly distributed it will make it hard

It’s going to depend on the camera you are using, I don’t see why it wouldn’t balance though it should absolutely be below the weight limit. Unfortunately I don’t have that lens
I can't use the ISO function on the Gimbal with the fx30. It's not working. I always need to change it on the camera directly. It's not possible to use the "wheel" in the front of the gimbal. Can someone please help me :( And is it possible to connect your phone to see the video directly on the phone monitor?

I was able to get it to balance but the screen couldn’t stick out at all and I couldn’t put an audio transmitter on top

You have to make sure that you choose remote control when the camera detects it’s connected to a device via usb c

@@ReachFilms Im planning on using the FX30 + Sigma 18-50mm + Sennheiser MKE 600. I bought the smallrig vertical arm aswell, is it possible to mount the Sennheiser to the arm and connect it to my camera with the 3.5mm mini jack?

If you could share your insights about my situation would be very helpful. I'm following your Sigma lens reviews as well sir. Many thanks for those helpful videos. I'm working with clients which they don't care about cinematic quality footage. All they want saturation and some contrast which can achieve in post easily. I'm in between Sigma 18-50 and 18-35 and I feel like 18-50 would be a better choice with me as it has beffer AF, reach and weight. I also have RS3 mini and we do run and gun social media videos with proper continuous lighting. I'd be pleased if you could share your opinions in this matter. I have to get a lens in couple days 🙌🙏 Thanks again for lovely videos!!
it comes down to this the 18-50 is a more versatile lens overall, better auto focus, silent, much smaller, also gives you 36-50. The Sigma 18-35 has better image quality and is better in low light, but way heavier, also you can't have a cage on it with the rs3 mini and 18-35, although it may balance its maxing out the weight and the footage looks wonky. If your client doesn't care about image quality the 18-50 is probably the way to go.

It will definitely NOT work with the sigma 50-100, the 18-35 is pretty close to the maximum limit and is a much lighter setup

@@ReachFilms very nice, 10yrs ago man I had a folding cart, slider, glidecam, monopod with fluid head, tripods, mini robot dolly to do a wedding. Sweat my butt off. Had Manfrotto plates on everything to be quick. Now you literally just need a gimbal and perhaps a light weight tripod or two. Truly remarkable.
