So many uneducated lower middle class people vote against their own interest because the right wing media has conned them into believing that "The American Dream," a.k.a "the opportunity to become excessively rich on capitalist profit" is some noble construct worth protecting, and that if they vote in favor of ANY kind of government funded social support, they are threatening the existence of the American Dream. When Rolling Stone mentions you, you know you've hit a nerve! Congratulations!
Well written, well played.
Healthcare in the USA is mostly a shakedown of the public. Don't evn get me started about Medicare part D!
F*cking brilliant.
I keep coming back.
Not just because it's beautiful, not just because it's relevant, not just because it's well written, poignant, and elegant..
It's all of the above.
Gat dang genius, I tell ya what.
Hey little brother, thank you for inspiring me to pick my guitar back up. You carry the spirit of Woody Guthrie.
Saw someone on tiktok say this must have been what it felt like to hear Dylan play his protest songs in the 60s
Make this go viral! ✊We will not accept this kind of health “care” anymore
I fucking love this. Genuine folk punk is coming back, this feels like a modern 16 tons
I just binged all his videos and this is by far my favorite but not because of what it's about. It's The lyrics, the rhyming scheme, the words, the tune, everything.
Friggin brilliant.
Brilliant! The music of the new revolution, and the time is now!!

Mario will save him!
Nah he is a murderer. How about we focus our on politicians that allow healthcare to deny service to people?
@@KosmopoliI guess but first we worry about player number 2
Woody Guthrie LIVES!!!!
"The Warren Buffet of health, the Jeff Bezos of fear." How do you do this?
I hear a little John Prine in here. These are fine turns of phrases my friend. Great work, interesting story and on target politically, no pun intended.
I'm playing this for my Dad, who grew up on Woody Guthrie and fell in love with the folk movement in the 50s-60s. Well done, buddy!
people wont want to hear it but California's social-healthcare program Partnership saved my life.
they covered every dollar of my $300,000.00 cancer battle.
laid-off in 2021 and lost my healthcare, took my life savings to start a small business then was diagnosed with cancer 4 months after starting the business.
I qualified because of how poor i was. I wouldn't be here to leave this comment if it wasn't for fellow California taxpayers agreeing that being poor shouldn't mean you die from a preventable cause.
Yeah people miss the point. The point is it shouldn't be 300k.
Regulate before more blank checks to the corporations
Beautiful. Class solidarity, brother.
"They should start buying graves to sell us when we're all dead." This line is perfect lmao
There ain't no us in their private trusts......😢
Great little protest song! Love it!
This is a banger! We need to bring back the age of protest songs. Now is the time.
Pssst listen to Carsie Blanton's song "Rich People"
My God! I haven't heard a new song that has echoes of Pete Seeger in so long!!! This was wonderful to hear. Thank you!
This is absolutely genius. Just sat down and learned to play it myself. Keep it up.
Can u drop the strumming pattern😂 I’m trying to figure it out rn

CEOs come and go, and one of them just went.
This has more views but.... WE ALL know why they took the thumbs down. A million up votes to your my friend.
Never heard this guy till today but man I want to hear more. He’s speaking truth with talent
Sounds like revolution.
Let’s go.
Ya usually works out well.
This song is the greatest thing United Health has ever given us.
"the ingredients ya got
bake the cake ya get"
amazing lyrics.
Somewhere, Bob Dylan is smiling at this one. 👌
Or Arlo Guthrie
National Health Service, which was widely popular and had wide support inside the Conservative Party. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher promised Britons in 1982, the NHS is "safe in our hands."[9]
Don't need to be communist to support nationalized health
Cool, how has it done under the conservatives since then?

One of the few places you can say that without being censored
Can you imagine being so hated as a company the people started cheering on the person that killed your CEO because of the amount of people that he sent to death with his poor choices of denying care
JuliaMonster - United Health Care might be the worse of the worse. That said anyone cheering a murderer as some type of hero is just as bad as the man that was killed.
Those executives don't care. They are fabulously wealthy and live in gated estates away from the peasants who hate them.
@JuliaMonster do you have any evidence of that, are you just repeating the same catch phrases you've heard.
@lion-foxtactical6357 no there's signs that are being posted up for freeing Luigi bro
And to be honest the responses to the Tik toks could be more to do with the fact that Luigi is a very good looking man I suppose you could make that argument
"They should start buying graves to sell us when we're dead" is both the most well written and sickeningly true lyric. Sadly would surprise me if you start seeing cemeterys sponsored by HMO's like freaking sports fields. Taking our money coming and going.
“CEO” needs to become a pejorative term.
I didnt expect frodo to be singing about american healthcare but here we are, this is the best timeline
Damn, this is really good. Deft and relevant lyrics, simple & well executed. (And it's real human skill, not AI). 10/10.
"the ingredients ya got
bake the cake ya get"
Holy crap, I'm gonna start using that line now
He looks like John Fogerty and sounds like Pete Seeger or Dylan. If this kid takes the work ethic of AC/DC and stays the course, he’s going to be in the history books of music.
As a business owner myself.... . If they would not have to pay these CEOs big severance packages there would be more money left for both clients and investors. It's really a win win situation.
Most CEOs are overpaid. Seriously, this whole “the line has to ALWAYS go up” is an INSANE fallacy and is pure GREED

How many people did Brian Thompson murder with the companies deny policy. Don't feel the least amount of sorrow for him but my heart and prayers go out to the millions of people who lost loved ones or in the midst of dealing with this vile organization.
Jesse Welles, What the Hell, He can tell the Truth, like no one else! Damn, someone sign that boy! Perfection!
Its not left and right. Its have and have not. Until lobbists arnt a thing and a persons worth isnt determined by their bank account, the battle will continue. Its time, people. Time to stand up for the 90%, no matter how they voted. We are ALL human. We are ALL americans.
Wouldn't it be so cool if we could come together as people? Won't happen due to selfishness and stupidity, but it's a romantic thought that gives the warm fuzzies.
@@mattschmitt9924It may be hard, but we have no choice but to try. By failing to try, we guarantee failure. Do what you can, my friend.
Americans aren't gonna stand up and demand change. They're going to vent online for a few weeks and then go back to their lives.
And, hey, I'm no different. I'm pointing the finger at myself, too. But it's always what happens.
It's not left and right, it's people who just want to live normal lives and people who have selfish dreams of being filthy rich.
As long as we continue to glorify the opportunity for wealth, consumption, profit, and individual hardship, this country isn't going to change in the slightest bit.
Wonderful. Beautiful. It always takes a long time, but the people eventually realize who the enemies really are. It's those that rule us and grind us under their boot. I smell a revolution a brewin'.

Require the CEOs and executives to have the worst plan and anonymize their identity so they have the same experience as the rest of us and see how fast healthcare will change. Congress too. What happened to the humble servant leader? What we have now is tyrants.
You'd also have to scale their bills to their net worth vs the average, so instead of owing 7 grand for a hangnail surgery like we would, they owe $150million or something. Then maybe they'd care a little 😂
@@parkerlt9068 I think the point I’m trying to make is that they don’t experience the hassle and denials. A sliding scale isn’t something I’d advocate for either. Why should it cost some people less than it actually costs to provide care? I want an equitable, funded system, not a denial heavy exploitative system.
Do away with the whole thing. Nationalize healthcare like they do in all the other wealthy nations so we dont need the dmn insurance companies to begin with. Healthcare should not be a for-profit industry.
Socialize healthcare.
Nah, that won't work. Getting the CEOs really fkn scared is what works.

Earworm for all the best reason. "There ain't no US in the private trust."
I don't wish to sound arrogant, and I'm guessing I'm preaching to the choir in terms of my sentiment, but as a Brit I find it baffling that any nation, especially one that considers itself (one of) the greatest nations on earth does not have universal healthcare for it's citizens. The idea that *some* think that it equates to communism is beyond comprehension. But I fear we're losing ours in front of our eyes but the process is so imperceivable that we won't realise we've lost it until it's too late. Wishing all the best, now and always

It's not the NHS is anything to write home about at the moment. It's failing badly due to the tories gutting it at every chance they get.
