    3:15 Joe I am so glad you addressed this , I've heard of 1,000s of 5.9 Cummins locked up because paint over spray got into the motor. You would think the torque of a Cummins Turbo Diesel could over power the tensile strength of lime green, fire engine red, and sunset orange spray painted engines, but it can't. Spray paint will ruin your motor. It's worse then not properly oiling your muffler bearing.........#SprayPaintDestroys I also heard spray paint is what is causing all the lifter failure, parts shortage, and intake gaskets to shrink .........
    Great Video Joe! You are one step closer to heading to the strip again! Can't wait to hear this thing rip!! Thank you for making Remy the Adventure kitty the number 1 automotive cat!

    Nice Joe!!!! I suspected thousands if not more engines must be prone to seizing from paint overspray and or flakes/chips because it actually happened to me. Yes I was a victim of this heinous atrocity. Although I did survive it was an absolute paint bath!!! I simply painted an engine and safely tucked it away in the weather and rain for it's beauty to be seen by all. Next thing I know out of nowhere after 5 years of being fine, the engine just seized up!! I hope nobody else has to suffer through the pain I've experienced!!! So tell the world Joe, and make this problem known!!!

      @@JustMoparJoe Well thank you very much but all I have won is Trophy classes, I have been trying to run 2 classes every time I go,to get more seat time and get the car figured out and work on my reaction time,so I try to run Trophy class along with either Pro class or Footbrake, etc. I wish I would have some wins in those other classes,then I would at least have won some cash! Lol I'm doing a lot better with my reaction time but ill red light once and it seems to mess me up the rest of the night lol. I lost my last race in the other class last night by .003 seconds because of my slow reaction time, I ran dead on my dial in but had a bad light of .063,and the other guy had just a little better reaction time so I lost lol....oh well,ill try again next week👍 I would love to race together sometime that would be a great fun time for sure! Hopefully we can make that happen sometime, as far as the car on your channel, I dont believe my car is worthy of that, I do Appreciate the gesture for sure but maybe you would be better off making that decision after you see the car in person lol....sorry so long,I ramble to much, take care and hope to see that Cuda goin down the track soon😊

    Also dont for get to drill 4 extra holes in the oil filter plate between the factory holes and you can go a little bigger on the width of the oil holes on the same plate will increase oil flow and if you get engine paint over spray on spark plugs be sure to clean them off. the paint conducts electricity and will cause the electricity from the plug wires to ground out to the heads because of the paint . my dad had a 1978 ford pickup and we rebuilt the engine and the plugs got over spray on them . I was 11 when I helped him paint the engine .ran like crap and a ford buddy of his found out the paint was the issue.

    • @JustMoparJoe
      @JustMoparJoe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the insight! That’s crazy about the paint. I usually leave mine out when painting, or throw in some old ones. Mark Worman shoots his engines with plugs in, as he says “like the factory”.

      I am having a hard time deciding on my cam. Going into a 83 Ramcharger that will see off road use but, nothing hard. Too valuable to beat up.
      Like how you use the .45 ACP as a punch. Remember this always. A true mechanic see's more uses for a tool than its original design intentions. That applies to off the wall stuff dreamed up as well.
