Very insightful. I have gone through the humanitarian and compassionate grounds case with the Canadian government. I prevailed and retained my status but it was not easy. I have seen 3 families close to me go through asylum and am familiar with what the entire process is and what are the challenges. Happy to share my experience.
What I'm about to share may seem a bit out of context, but I want to highlight how my journey to Canada was largely driven by thorough research and a bit of luck. Originally from Pakistan, I spent nearly a decade living in Dubai. Without spending a single dollar on consultants, I secured a job offer and obtained permanent residency in Canada, while being a resident of the UAE. Express Entry wasn't an option for me. I didn’t qualify even when the points were as low as 430, and my skill set didn’t align with the typical PNP-PR pathways. Instead, I leveraged the power of the internet to navigate the process and achieve my goal.
@@NorthAmerican-Desi I agree! My research started around the end of 2015 when Express Entry was introduced. I kept working on it until I finally was able to secure an offer in 2019
