Excellent podcast. Canada isn’t an easy place to settle in for Indians if you aren’t around Brampton/GTA, or Vancouver. Especially so if you don’t speak Punjabi, or don’t have any family ties. Been there for a decade and couldn’t take it anymore.
In my case I’ve tried a different route to have an US experience and travel the subcontinent a bit before taking a final call.
In my humble opinion, the warmth of India isn’t found anywhere in NA region at least - haven’t experienced Europe beyond UK.

There’s no place like home, indeed! Hope and trust that such decent people after return to India may help develop our institutions that are much infused with integrity, transparency and accountability; and also help in controlling/ eliminating corruption, pollution and adulteration, plus child exploitation etc. Peace and love 🙏❤️

I live in Canada from 20 years, i can say that this guy Monty made the right decision to take his kids and family there. Big thing I see over here among all my friends is that, their kids will not get married here or have kids, new generation here does not want to do anything like this, here no one will become grand parents in future. this is the hard truth. All these Punjabi's, other Indian's coming here do not know this yet, but once there kids grow up in next 10 - 20 years, they will find this out, but too late by then, there generation is over at that time

@@NRIreturntoindia I have been very clear that , any other country other than India you stay , even after 1000 years you would be a second class citizen if you are not earning billions of dollars for that country like Sundar Pichai. But I was getting irritated by the unnecessary Nationalism.
Recent incident between India-Canada made me understood that I was actually extreme, If I die doing something little for my country that would be more peaceful than be a proud second class labor in other country which is making my motherland slave.

I will go back after I retire and want to just stay without working in India. I only go because of spiritual reason and stay in Kashi and no other place. I moved 15 years ago. I neither am interested in Indian festivals or cricket. I cook well and enjoy my Indian food at home myself. I also enjoy western life, pursue various hobbies and travel. I don’t need to socialize every week as I am an introvert. Indians who come out only for money will be dissapointed with Canada. Come for a western life if you prefer. If not be in india
