    I’ve owned this bike now for 6 months and hit the twisties every weekend with it and I absolutely love it! I think Honda really nailed it for a fast but sensible sport bike for the real world and for riders just getting into the world of sports bikes this one makes a lot of sense.

    Pyramid plastics do a hugger extension. I’ve got one on mine and it sorts out the mud flicking issue. Then with the tail tidy it looks so much better. Oh snd the vibrations can be sorted with heavier bar end weights. I absolutely love mine and those 6 things feature on my list.

    I have the CB650r with the same rear. Changed tail tidy to something vaguely nice and I can confirm it not only chucks mud and crud all over itself but also ‘helpfully’ fills the under seat area with water. I thought buying a Honda that this sort of thing couldn’t possibly happen. I was mistaken.....

    Great vid TMF. I’ve had a 2021 model for 2 weeks, love it. I’d recommend it to anyone. As you say the likes are spot on, the dislike on the back end is correct, shame they have to design them this way, I’ll live with it instead of fitting a tail tidy. I also recommend a quick shifter. Keep the great uploads coming our way!

  • @stevied6286

    It seems many of the modern bikes are almost a retrograde step from earlier models.. The cbr600 was a fabulous machine as we're vfr750's and we had 60bhp + 400's and 50bhp 250's rather than 25bhp 400cc singles ..the development of every capacity size was far more interesting in the late 80's an 90's imho though I am watching with interest, the massive improvements in the quality of Chinese offerings who will compete with japanese within 5 years I expect. Ahh .the days when my right wrist And clutch and braking technique was the " riding mode adjuster"!!😁😁

      Something about EURO regs meaning the number plate has to be level with the back of the wheel or something

    • @jasonk7072
      @jasonk7072 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The rearmost part of a motorbike cannot be the tyre. Not sure why, a wobbly number plate isn’t going to fend off a rear ender from a bus.

    • @Titaniumparts
      @Titaniumparts 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's vehicle design regs, applicable in the UK at least and probably Euro wide too. The tyres/wheels can't be exposed. So the over-hanging tail, while essentially providing no benefit, is the minimum necessary to comply with the letter of the law. Pretty sure they wouldn't do it if they didn't have to.

    Rename the video , 3 things that sometimes might get on my nerves a bit if I bought one if I was in a really bad mood , everything else , love it ! Good honest review as always , bring back the rear mud guard or hugger is what I say , bloody ridiculous arse end on it , seems to be a thing these days , just shortens the life of the rear shock . Yep lack of electronic gismos is a good thing , manufacturers seem to be in competition to get as many " modes " on a bike as possible , takes away the skill of riding to a degree imo . ABS is all that's really needed in the snow and ice , just marketing I suppose , if I was in the market for such a bike I would defiantly put it top of my list of test rides . Cheers

    I can understand why you don't think all the electrickery is needed on a sub 100hp bike TMF, but personally I think they're a necessity on the larger heavier more powerful top end stuff as I think without them many including me would probably end up in a ditch and they only have to work once to be worthwhile. It does look the busines though and for this bike maybe a rain mode for the less experienced rider would be useful especially as some will probably ride all year round together with a QS which I think most bikes would benefit from, especially for overtaking. Great vid as ever👍

    Hiya, I’ve just bought the 2023 model and on the ride home the bike was filthy! Perhaps the most annoying thing for me is vibration through the foot pegs and I’m not sure if that can be solved. That said, I absolutely love the bike and won’t be parting with it anytime soon.

      @@TheMissendenFlyer thanks for the reply. Yeah that is true. It looks a hell of lot comfier than an R6 or bikes which are more “track” focused. Iam kind of leaning towards the CB as il only mainly be doing B road riding around the gorgeous new forest, the odd motorway here and there. The CBR just looks so mean though. Guess il have to flip a coin or something ha ha

    If the 2021 model kept the Dunlop tyres from the 2019/2020, they’re probably the biggest downside for me. So many times the backend just gave up for a half a second in cold/damp conditions. And non-adjustable forks, but it is a budget bike so it had to come out somewhere.
