I‘m from Vienna, Austria and love the Chicken Adobo. My wife from Iloilo cooks it very often for me 🥰
Great to hear mate you're enjoying Chicken Adobo as well! 😊 It's such a lovely dish, might gonna cook one this week again too 😋
As a Filipino, I approve this. Well done!
Thanks a lot mate for your thoughts! happy to hear 😉
How’s the sazon?
Do we add salt in it??
@@sunilranaut9584 no need. The soy sauce is already salty.
This meal literally never gets old!! My wife is Filipina and I tell her she can cook this anytime she wants! I could almost eat it every day!
You're absolutely right 😊 Together with rice it's so good
I’m Mexican and I loveeee Filipino food !!!!
Part Filipino here, learning more about the other cultures in my blood line. I can’t wait to make this and lumpia
Oh wow, I'm Filipino and we cook like that at home. Same, we put onions for added flavors.
So many Adobo Manok version in the Philippines but this is the most i love ittwist.!!!!! Shout out from Abu Dhabi UAE.!!!!!
Thanks a lot mate! Greetings to Abu Dhabi!
I love that you added palm sugar (panocha). It has lower Glycemic Index than granulated brown sugar. It's more scrumptious.
Super sarap galing talaga ng pinoy👋🏼👌🏼
ito yung paborito kong pagkain ( this is my favorite food )
The closet to adobo in Spain is the Escabeche, my mother used do cook it, with chicken o fish, adobo is another different thing in Spain.
Thanks for the insight Dianita, might be a nice idea to write & film a spanish Escabeche Recipe in the future 😊
@@flavorthoughts Depending of the zone of Spain it changes, it's more commonly made with fish as mackerel or chicken or smaller bits such as quail.
Mackerel in Escabeche
Here we go:
750 gr. medium mackerel
3 large garlic cloves
2 bay leaves
5 cloves
1 and a half teaspoons of sweet paprika
5-6 pink peppercorns
1/2 glass extra virgin
1/4 of a glass of white vinegar
1/4 of a glass of water
sea salt
flour for frying
extra virgin olive oil for frying.
Preparation:
1
We fry the mackerel.
2
In a deep frying pan, put the extra virgin, and when it is hot. We add the garlic, bay leaf and cloves. We aromatize the oil for a couple of minutes.
3
We add the peppercorns and vinegar. We let the acidity evaporate for a few minutes.
After three or four minutes.
5
We add the paprika, salt and let it cook for another three minutes.
6
After that time, we put the mackerel in the pickle, and cook it for a minute on one side.
7
And another minute, on the other side and we remove from the heat.
8
And ready. We do this operation in two phases, to pickle all the fried fish.
9
We put it on two individual plates. We cover them with film, and let them cool in the refrigerator... this pickle is very concentrated. If we want it lighter, we add twice as much water and a little more vinegar and that's it.
I hope it helps. This one recipe but there are a lot more, the best ones are in Spanish from Spain and I have to translate them, but it's okay I'll gladly do it.
Okkk??? This looks so good!!! I'm Filipino and this adobo looks so appetizing. You bet I'm gonna try this recipe! 🤤😉

Lovely to hear! Happy you and your family liked it. Thanks for trying the recipe ☺
Galing Mo mag luto
APPROVED!❤🎉
You can use oyster sauce instead of palm sugar
Pampanga adobo uses oyster sauce.
Thank you :)
You can use red wine vinegar aswell there are plenty of varietys to this recipe
Yup, needed a more pre-diabetic friendly alternative xD
The rice is non-negotiable, so I need to change the sugar out. Thanks
This adobo version is just right! Congratulations!👏👏👍
Personally, though, I prefer adobo without the sugar.
If I opt to somehow sweeten it, I just add pineapple juice into the marinade.😊
I need to have Adobo now!!
Wow! Exactly how i want it! ❤
Yummy 🤤 all time favorite chicken adobo.
Картинку посочнее (контраст, насыщенность, сочность) и будет топчик😉
very creative. i suggest you add onions on top and let it steam for atleast 2minutes before you prepare it.
it will change its flavor.
Oh my gosh, this is soooo good, I can taste it!
Thats how i do it. I love the color. Looks delicious
Glad you like it 😊 Adobo is such a delicious dish 😋
Omg this is my ideal adobo❤️
cooked this last weekend, was a bangerr. Everyone loved it.
Awesome! Glad you liked the recipe!
Does it taste better with or without sugar?
@@user-su6zt2of2p depends. I like mine savory. So a little less on the sugar part. I only add them in if it gets too salty.
Ah this is like my moms recipe 😋
Wow saraaaappp...😋

This is the ultimate chicken adobo i ever want ❤

First off all My mom makes the best adobo... Hahahh😂😂😂
damn look so good.
❤yummy
Wow Sarap nito
It’s better if u shimmer it longer because the longer it is cooking it tastes better
Usually traditional adobo has no onions, but onions are too good not to add in haha, great recipe tho 👍
I agree on both ☺ I got the idea of using onions from a filipino friend and I'm just loving the texture and sweetness thei're adding to this dish 😋
with onions and palm sugar this is a tribute to Thai cuisine.
yummm!
Spot on bro. Fans don't understand Rodrygo's potential. Potential best player in the world.
Yummy yummy..
Legit
I like my adobo not sweet buy this is a nice variation. 👍🏻
Yummy
Wait, this is my first time watching the recipe to make adobo and im shocked. This is my moms go to food to cook and we're not even Filipinos 😂 she cooks exactly like this exclude the bay.
And no, my mom is not the type that likes to cook other culture food so yeah, surprise to see adobo is her 'lazy cooking' food. Lol
Looks delicious ❤❤
Thank you 😊
❤❤
masarap 😋
❤❤❤
Sarap
Cane vinegar? Is that sweet? Because we used to make it almost exactly the same but added some Sugar to make it a little sweet and it tasted amazing
Hi Justin, happy to hear you ended up with an amazing adobo 😋 Yes cane vinegar is a little sweeter or let's say lighter and less pungent compared to regular vinegar.
Sarap naman! ❤❤❤
Thanks mate!
Try also the pork adobo mate delicious also
Oh yeah!! 😋
Wow its so delicioso 😂
wow!¡ your using palm sugar(panocha)...👍👍👍👍👍
🎉
pour your vinegar into the empty bowl of the soy sauce so you can utilize every bit of that soy sauce then pour it into the meat.
You forgot water from Mississippi river
Can I skip the sugar part?
What is the proportions of chicken soysauce and vinegar?
To all foreigner cooking adobo and show it on social media... Plss. Watch this first 😅😅😅😅
Eow yummy
What do u mean 2x 30 mins?
can i use brown sugar instead of palm sugar?? if so how much is the equivalent measurement of brown sugar instead of palm sugar
Yes for sure. I've used brown sugar as well several times. I'd use a little less, maybe around 30-40 grams in my recipe. Have fun trying the recipe 😊
Pag walang palm sugar anong owedy e substitute?
Hi Michelle, cane / brown sugar works just as well if you don't have palm sugar, maybe just use slightly less 😊
ano po yung dark soy sauce?
Where did you buy the palm sugar?
Hi mate, you can find palm sugar (in blocks or pre-ground) in most better asian grocery stores 😊
With all the added steps in preparing your adobo it won't make a lot of difference from a normal adobo where you just put all the ingredients at once and just let it simmer until it dries out.
Where did you find dark soy souce i got regular soy sauce but can yiu help me how to get dark soy sauce
You'll find a link to it in the full-length Video in the Description or also on my blog: flavorthoughts.com 😊
You saw all things there...
But still i confuse at the end...
In u r dish there is greenish...
Whats that green chilly or ???
I prefer the adobo wings
Deliciooooouuus 😋🤤😊❤❤
An Australian woman told me, you don't cook adobo with onion! I'm like "hello I'm Filipino, Tagalog na Tagalog!" I mean, I know how to cook my adobo.....Don't tell me how to cook it. Adobo is not complete w/o onions.....Anyway, I just ignore her. Every Fil. families /food businesses -restaurants, carinderias, street food etc. in the Philippines or Filipinos living overseas has their own version of adobo....
If I only have apple cider vinegar is that ok?
Hi Lin, thanks for the question. Absolutely, you can use apple cider vinegar and it will turn out great! If you like you can reduce the amount of vinegar just slightly as apple cider vinegar is a bit more pungent that cane vinegar, but I think you're also fine by using the same amount 😊
Wow very nice version ang galing no dudes ....
Is adobo sweet???
Hi, thanks for the question. This Adobo Recipe is rather well balanced between sweeness, acidity and saltiness. For sure you can add even more palm sugar if you like it more on the sweeter side 😊
