Really nice collection. Didn't really see any uncorrect stuff at all but wanna point you some trivia facts; Marines used green dominant ERDLs after '68. Not sure if your one is brown dominant but its close enough. Also marines didnt really use name tapes or that U.S. marines tape. I mean some did because they wanted but wasnt really common. I would love to see a more detailed video of your ARVN ruck.
The barrel length on your rifle is 16 inches and m4 profile. Delton sells 20" lightweight barrels (the appropriate barrel for the a1) with the front sight block already installed, and Brownells has A1 uppers and a1 rear sights for sale as well. Move the dust cover and forward assist over to the a1 upper and you'll be fairly close to an A1. Brownells even sells a1 pistol grips and foregrips to get even closer to the a1. As of July 2018, you can pay $180 for complete a1 barrel assembly from delton, $120-150 for a A1 upper, $20 for the rear sight, and $15 for an a1 pistol grip, $40-50 for the triangle foregrip, and youll be in business. Just move the components from the upper you currently have over to the new one. Edit; it's totally worth putting a near complete 20" m16a1 rifle together, the asthetic and feel will be completely different then what you have currently.
I’m slowly building myself a kit. Already got an M1. Also just bought myself an M65 Field Jacket. When I get more money I think I’m next gonna go for the web gear.
You know, I have a 173rd unit with around 15 guys. We are based in the mid west but we do travel. This is highly unlikely but maybe next year our units could organize an event like a tactical or something. Its not everyday you see another vietnam group!
20th Century Reenacting that would be awesome! I’m sure we would love to have something like that happen sometime. We always talk about how there isn’t enough ‘Nam reenacting.
I just bought myself some 3rd Pattern Jungle fatigues. I’m working on making a impression. I considered repro fatigues, but I decided to buy originals. My god original Fatigues are expensive. $186 for Trousers and Shirt.
I have a WW2 45. Holster, but it won't fit with my Vietnam Pistol Belt. I'd love to wear them together, because they look great! I have already tried some Things, but it's not really good. Do you Guys have any Ideas?
I enjoy watching your video this is a pleasure for the eyes 😎 Thank you for your explanation very interesting for me I am subscribed of France 🇫🇷 And I would be proud to have you as subscriber too 👍
Me and my buddies were trying to start a Vietnam group, but we ran into a roadblock. Do you have any advice for us? We live in NY and the gun laws there are ridiculous as you know. I was wondering if you had run into something like this before. Also, do you have any advice for finding a place to actually reenact? Thanks and cant wait for Nam season
Hi, studio re-enacting. I'm Corey, and I just wanted to write a few comments about your Vietnam gear, and ask a few questions. My first comment is, I like your load out I think it's a cool looking out fit. I have a combination of the 1st pattern of the jungle fatigue shirt with epoulets on each shoulder. And I have 3rd pattern of the jungle fatigue pants in the cotton rip martirial. And I have a pair of the jungle combat boots, even though I'm not what pattern they are. And I have the name era boonies hat, and a hot weather field cap, even though the cap is 80s dated. My first question to you is, have you ever done a name event out side the u.s? The reason why I'm asking is because I'm interested in attending a nam event, but I don't if the nam group here in Canada of which I'm an honorary member is still around or not. But, I would like to go to a nam event, even if I would have to travel to the states to attend one. Any way, I'll go for now. Have a pleasant evening. Corey. Corey Hansen from Canada.
As far as marines go, from what I've seen in most cases no. But with Kilo 3/7 specifically it seems from pictorial evidence there were at least a few in the company at one point or another. But even then 782 packs and ARVN rucks were far more common.

M16s and XM177E2's had first gen non-removable carry-handles
Emerald Violet I’m sure he knows that
Yeah that’s true but harder to find
Great video again glad to have you back
Ever think about creating a Google Doc listing a recommended loadout for people getting into 60-70s Marine?
Hay can you do a Vietnam video it’s been a long time
Awesome collection

The Reenactor I agree! I would love you work something out with you guys!
Awesome watch!
The hand guard, or “grip”, as you call it isn’t only the of the M16a2, but it isn’t even an M16 hand guard, it’s from the M4 carbine

Nice. Thanks for the info, we do 3/26 marines and we'll be able to use most of those except the blank firing
Home Grown Shinanigans I do 173rd airborne as Well! Maybe we should talk

Ever gonna show off the guys who play the VC?
TheSovietPotato unlikely, the ones who play the VC aren’t doing a VC impression. They just show up to attack us

Are you aloud to bring an airsoft rifle to re-enactments because you can’t afford a real one?
Depends on the event rules and regulations
Are you doing another Vietnam week?
Smartphone Gamer yes
Studio T Reenacting ok
Can you send som3 links to find some of it? I can't find a good helmet any were and I can't find web gear
mr orange wew you have to buy the web gear in peices. The likelihood of finding a web set all put together in low. Buy the peices individually.
eBay is the best place. Some people are even selling full web gear kits.
I got my m65 for free and most of my gear because my papa was in Vietnam and I got his old gear I mean all of it even his pistol belt
Which shops?
Izak Pinosa every shop
Would an m51 jacket be accurate for a nam impression
