I am a Living Historian based out of New England with a real passion for history.
Historical Reenacting is about furthering my own and the publics knowledge about various times and perspective in history.
On this channel I hope to help out anyone in or looking to become part of the reenacting hobby; as well as let people better understand different perspectives throughout history. From the Viking age to the Vietnam War. History isn't about dates and places (while they are a big part of it) it's about the stories of the people who were there.

18th Century Canoe Scout - 2021
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Every October Harmons Company of Snowshoe men gather to put our (fiberglass) canoes in the river and experience Colonial America in a very different way. Being as how river scouts were at times very common for colonial 'rangers' like the Snowshoe men. Enjoy!
Ladies in Blue | The WAVES in WWII
มุมมอง 1582 ปีที่แล้ว
During World War II the US Navy placed women into just about every job available minus sea duty. Whether a nurse, weapons instructor, or a code breaker; the ladies of the WAVES made it all possible. It's safe to say that the US Navy would not have been the same during the Second World War without them. Enjoy! Interested in joining the WAVES? From the New England area? Battle of the Bulge Tactical | 2022
มุมมอง 1.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Our 7th annual Battle of the Bulge Tactical event was great this year. Probably the coldest Bastogne we've had in the seven years of doing this event. The weekends low was 0 degrees, with a wind chill of -15. The high was about 10 with a wind chill of -2. What a time! Enjoy.

THE WEEK 2021
มุมมอง 25K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Watch as the ever varying characters of the recreated KILO 3/7 return for the 2021 Week Event. This was our biggest year yet. Though still an honest documentation of the reenactment, it also recreates some very dark topics of the real Vietnam War. We were immersed in the time period; and the characters we developed took hold and acted out their different lives in Vietnam for seven long days. Pl...

Battle Road Historical Hike | 1775
มุมมอง 1.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I spent the day marching the Battle Road Trail at Minute Man National Park in Massachusetts. Dressed out as in proper 1775 garb, I counter march the assaulting actions along Battle Road. While also talking about some of the events that took place there in April of 1775. Starting at Fiske Hill and ending at Meriam's Corner I walked the 5 miles worth of fighting along historic Bay Road (modern Ba...
USS MASSACHUSETTS (BB-59) - "Sassy Massy"
มุมมอง 4013 ปีที่แล้ว
"A ship is called a "she" because she's all decked out and usually pretty well stacked. She has pleasing lines from stem to stern and there's generally a gang of men around her." "It's not her initial cost which breaks you; it's the upkeep. Her rigging costs a fortune, and she always looks her best in a new coat of paint." "Bows and bells are standard equipment, and sometimes she wears a bonnet...

I love that you used a US ammo box so it looks like you stole it from Union troops
Old School!
Its a wonder how soldiers wouldnt be annoyed taking off their gear just to access their pack/hacersack
You should look into doing AAF ground crew
What can you use to clean up a slightly rusted lock plate? Never dull?
With a little research, you'll find the "cleaning rod" is a bayonet, and the second two slots are for locking it in the out position...
bro I'm 13 and I'm starting to get a civil war impression rn lol

If you’re looking for reproduction campaign shoes Missouri Boot and Shoe makes the 1885 model which is what I believe they wore in the Spanish American War and the Philippine Insurrection. Being custom made they’re not cheap at $325.
Ok all im gonna say is nobody did this until the end of ww2 thats coming from books and veterans i have never spoken to veteran's but i know people who have and they said what they were taught by ww2 veterans who had jump boots during ww2 because they were fssf veterans they said tuck them in your boots same with the leggings tuck your trousers in them the boot blousers didnt come out until quite late in the war maybe even post war
You Never miss with them
Bunch of 'Fucking Wannabe's!'
What if I want to join only 1 or 2 battles or what if I don’t live in the USA?
You can maybe get away with being alone, but I'd strongly advise talking to any groups before the event and temporarily join them for the battle. But be sure you know your stuff. Drill stances, orders, and such. Though it is more ideal to be in a Regiment than be alone.
Hey you said you started at 13 I’m 12 right now just thought I could relate about the shoe sizes
Its a 1888 using a bayonet/ramrod.
How do you know when you're hit and where you're hit
You really have no way of telling exactly where and if you were hit but you have to make you best guess so for example if your rushing a German position and you see a German soldier looking at you and they start shooting then that’s how you would know if you died. But if German aren’t looking at you and you are rushing a point then you won’t die so that’s a trick to know when you died or not
“Dreams have meanings.” Meanwhile:
I wish I could do this with you guys but I’m only 15.
Stuff is sick dude. Pretty awesome. Y’all should do a Week event set in 1967-1968.
Sorry but you do NOT remove the lock plate before the barrel/breech assembly. That's actually a mistake...
How old do you have to be to purchase blank guns?
18
This gentleman continually refers to a “cleaning rod”. That’s not what the rod is on this model. It is a bayonet. It can be extended through I believe three different positions/lengths. Some 1884 models did have a cleaning rod, but this is not one of them.
Can I change the grips on this or is it a different size
hell yeah my dude keep it up!
Small tip for all you guys! Screw the ball extractor on the end of stuck ramrod, make it simple to remove. 👍
so, im Texan and I wanted to fight for the Union, is that possible?
Yes?
What website do you go to buy them from
Wow. Thank you! You described setting up the kit perfectly. Great job!
I did not know that about the boots!
what lamp light do you guys use
way too fat and not enough tan, but good job guys
By following this exactly I always seem to miss a spot. In the back on my calf. I need to have calves the size of a young boy to be able to do this... 😂
Didn't know Americans "could" die in reenactment!? 😯
Sooo, what happened?
I use a piece of leather between the hammer and nipple put water in barrel and i use brass brush and i keep doing that till its clean
Why not just join the military and sign up for the infantry?
I did. 6 years later reenacting means even more.
@@StudioTReenacting Well yeah but you were a cook.
@@larrylebowski8386 Nope. I was in the infantry. Not sure where you picked that up
I live fire mine. It gets so filthy I usually pop the barrel out and take a shower with it. 20 patches later it's all nice and shiny.
Perfection. 13:45, the small jokes that make it better
What group are you apart of
28th Mass. Co. H
Yup shit happensz... never goes by da numbaz 🙌 looks good👍
thanks for the advice dude, was really helpful. could you in the future make a video on how to take care of your reenactment kit? i think that would be very helpful as well. especially considering a lot of people get their kits from past reenactors and don't get instructions on how to take care of it with those kits.
I have a 30/40 Krag. I was thinking about a period uniform to display with it
As stated, its an 1888 rod bayonet model not an 1884. The 1884 is the type breech block used.
all good lads but the music from MASH korean war
This is badass would take a trip to do this someday lol
From where i can buy .... i m from India.....plz
Just a few days away can’t wait to see it!
The nose piece is called a barrel bushing. And the cap below it is called the spring plug. If the bushing breaks then get another one, they're 10 bucks
Thats good to know. Do you know where the spare Bruni parts can be bought from?
Yeah I’m definitely getting myself a pair of these for hunting!
Corpsman with bright Hawaiian shirt=perfect target.
What year in the Vietnam conflict are you portraying?
