I've played this game a ton and I've found the player interactions is at least half the fun. if nobody takes treasures at the start you can all get to the bottom where the good stuff is, but the moment someone takes any treasure the clock is ticking and suddenly everyone needs to fend for themselves. Where different groups find that line of patience vs greed is highly varied and the negotiations themselves where people try to organize can be extensive. This is a good teaching game for explaining the Prisoners Dilemmas, Game theory in general, and even the tragedy of the commons.
fun fact - tragedy of the commons is not real! it was just made up and is not observed IRL - commons fall pray to external pressure/violence, like in enclosure process.

Curiosity killed a cat but greed killed a shepherd (or rather her friends). I'm pretty sure that's how the full saying goes. Also I would like to say for the record, that Blair in fact did not learn. She simply did a body swap with Laurie during the transition, so she can blame him for her crimes - a classic Blair move.
This is a fun game. You all were hilarious. Could watch a few more episodes of this. House Rules on it would be fun too, add some sharks or something. Great content 🔥
I would question that, in case of brain trauma, it is really the lack of oxygen that kills you - and not that your brain was smashed into a mush. The cell death of the brain should happen before it is deprived of oxygen.
Also, in cases where the the body temperature has dropped siginificantly, it has been possible to revive someone even though their heartrate has dropped to a point that would normally kill (due to lack of oxygen) because the low temperature prevented the damage low oxygen would normally entail. So it is arguable that it is always brain damage (usually caused by lack of oxygen) which is the cause of all death.
@@LeoMRogers This is exactly why, to be declared dead, one has to be warmed up to normal working core temperature first. Cold and dead might not be dead. Warm and dead definitely is.

This was a fun watch, even if I'd love to see this one replayed with the final rule done right. Game feels really short otherwise, but maybe that's just a perception thing.
It would make more sense if the more loot you have, the faster you would be descending (as the loot slows you down on the way up). Also, if this were played with normal dice.
Call of Cthulhu just permeates the oceans, I see. Maybe an interesting byproduct of them skipping the rule that player running out of oxygen can finish their turn (if I understood that correctly), so instead of trying to screw each other over to the last second, a mad nihilism kicked in.

That's probably dependent on how extensive the brain trauma is, and which areas of the brain it affects. Interesting thing to wonder about, for sure.
I was just about to say how that take is clearly coming from someone who's never thought much about the terror of seeing someone set off a land mine.
