This game just keeps getting better. I have known of this game since seeing it on TableTop with Wil Wheaton 11 YEARS AGO (HOLY SHIT!) Still never played it but need to!
Laurie does seem to be managing the show better, mainly shown in the changes to the intro which previously was slow and clunky, but now is quick and fun.
it's been 3 months, but if you still don't know, tl;dr, he's a creep; it's also not his first time being related to sexual misconduct We don't have way too much information on it though.@@2_fml_532
I lived in Newcastle-under-Lyme for a bit, and one day a new guy came in and after a bit of chat about the local area, hesitantly asked my colleague “What happened to Stoke?” My very left-wing colleague replied “Margaret Thatcher”
the new table & setup look fantastic! And Laurie is settling into the Host role so well! Also I'd like to petition House Rules resumes either with Sully & special guests or Sully and Tilly, as their energies are hilarious together!
Laurie doing a solid job leading this channel! Having previously lived in Stoke I didn’t know the most exciting fact from living there, of someone falling in a hole. Cracked me up.
Dom if you are reading this keeping being you....your a unique personality and make the world better and a little stronger...lets have some positivity in the comments
"I don't know if you've ever had a home invader, but if you chuck piss on them, they get really annoyed". This may be the best line in the history or BGC.
I am absolutely STOKED at how Laurie is leading the channel and the energy in these games. The game choices, the set, the vibes, and honestly getting to hear more from Teri in the background lately has been hilarious. Thank you for another amazing episode!
What I like about Gloom is that it's a game that lets people improv just as much as you want to. You can have some players who are a bit quiet just play the cards in the same game as tale-spinners like Dom or Laurie. It's not like a game like Snake Oil which are highly dependent upon improv skills so Gloom maybe has a wider number of possible players
"when the wind picks up and the rain comes down, and darkness overwhelms the world. yeah, thats what you want." best dom quote of all time 🤣 (or should it be 😭)
It was very funny when Sully just sort of gave up trying with tying the narrative together and just went "ghosts hate being pissed on" and then carried that mindset through the rest of the game.
always enjoy watching the members of this group play games! The banter, jokes an laughs just keep me coming back to the channel. Always brightens my day. Would love to see this group playing Dice Throne either the vs boxes or adventures think it would be a good fit for this group.
Could you please add subtitles to explain the subtext of the bits about a tiny island's remote places, locally famous people and old shows for all those viewers that didn't live their entire life there ?
Ooh Gloom! Im excited to watch this. I had a lot of fun watching Stumpt play the digital version of this a while back. They really leaned into roleplaying the families and trying to make up stories for each of the characters and working in the horrible/good life events into an overarching tale, it was amazing. Really gets you in the spooky mood!!
I love Gloom. Especially when you can make ironic tragedies happen. I forget which family had the dog, but I had it where the dog suffers a broken bone. Reading this sentence makes me seem like a sadist.
Had the honor and privilege to play a round of Gloom with mr.Baker himself, about a decade ago. We played at a bar over a couple of pints, so an absolute blast it was.
Any episode with Dom is a great episode I'm glad he's becoming a mainstay. Anyone know where in the Black Country Dom is from? From one interested Yam Yam.
my favourite game of this ended up with giggles becoming an mp, meeting the queen and then dying of dysentery the brain in a box coming back from the dead twice and one character being haunted by a dead person, only for me to play the happily marriage card so they married the ghost
What I would love to see you lot play is Aye, Dark Overlord! It is somewhat like this, except you are inept minions who has to explain to the dark overlord why you failed the mission he sent you on.
Stafford high street getting a mention is a thing i didnt think would on this wednesday afternoon, but yes there was 3 greggs and yet they never had any food in any of them, also stafford high street has died a said death
please continue making fun of different parts of England because this is the most I've gotten to know about it 😂 (Spaniard here. we never got told the details of English geography aside from basics)
Funnily enough I lived in Slough back in 08-09 and I now live in Stoke-on-Trent XD I appreciate you informing me that I've picked the two worst cities to live in =P
Loved this episode! The sounds levels were tricky to hear though, it often came through painfully loud when the players were excited and barely audible (even at max volume) when they were describing their cards - might just be my laptop though!
Fun fact: when you first open Gloom, all of the cards are arranged so that the card titles make rhyming couplets.
Oh, that's wonderful!
So much thought went into this game I swear
I need a video of someone reading them ❤ (because I can't buy the game, otherwise I would in an instant)
Now I'm regretting buying it 2nd hand! That's awesome!
This game just keeps getting better. I have known of this game since seeing it on TableTop with Wil Wheaton 11 YEARS AGO (HOLY SHIT!) Still never played it but need to!
I hope Laurie knows how bloody good of a host he is. I'm loving him as the host.
Laurie does seem to be managing the show better, mainly shown in the changes to the intro which previously was slow and clunky, but now is quick and fun.
I agree, he's doing a great job!
What happend to Adam as the host?
it's been 3 months, but if you still don't know, tl;dr, he's a creep; it's also not his first time being related to sexual misconduct
We don't have way too much information on it though.@@2_fml_532
He went on holiday in Chernobyl and a nuke fell on his head@@2_fml_532
Big respect to whoever it was that had to figure out how to scan and display a deck of transparent cards.
More importantly, after scanning, making sure there was still partial transparency.
@agemoz and yet, printers are still the spawn of evil.
@DeStryke51 they probably just took a picture of it then added the transparency slider
Well they didn't do a great display job you can barely see the cards

As a victim of Stoke I appreciate you guys spreading awareness for others afflicted with being from Stoke-On-Trent.
It's a cross many of us have to bear
Try being from Grimsby... Every morning is a melancholy sigh when you realise the town hasn't been taken by the ocean
I was in stoke about 3 times every time I was offered drugs
I live in Stone, not far from Stoke can confirm.
I lived in Newcastle-under-Lyme for a bit, and one day a new guy came in and after a bit of chat about the local area, hesitantly asked my colleague “What happened to Stoke?” My very left-wing colleague replied “Margaret Thatcher”
Sullivan describing practicing sadness felt a lot like a Little Alex Horne opening bit on Taskmaster.
And on my left is Little Sully Brown!!!
I'm very impressed with whomever is responsible for the Gloomy Laurie in the thumbnail.
the new table & setup look fantastic! And Laurie is settling into the Host role so well! Also I'd like to petition House Rules resumes either with Sully & special guests or Sully and Tilly, as their energies are hilarious together!
What happened to adam?
@@xsmallmusic2174 Google knows
@@xsmallmusic2174recently fired/quit. Had previously been accused of inappropriate behavior toward other employees.
@@xsmallmusic2174We don't talk about Adam
@joejohnson8789 ???? What why? Im very out of the loop, I realized Laurie has been taking over as the host and everything, but what happened?
Perfect way to begin the evening, a DOM episode!
The Dom show, featuring Dom and associates!
Always good to see the Protagonist
Good to see the main character again!
Love a Dom episode, me.
Laurie doing a solid job leading this channel! Having previously lived in Stoke I didn’t know the most exciting fact from living there, of someone falling in a hole. Cracked me up.
Same 😂
Dom if you are reading this keeping being you....your a unique personality and make the world better and a little stronger...lets have some positivity in the comments
100% Dom is my favourite
Ah this is unfair. You are trying to make him lose the game aren't you?
"I don't know if you've ever had a home invader, but if you chuck piss on them, they get really annoyed". This may be the best line in the history or BGC.

Upvote for featuring Dom.
never has a game given me more of a ''devious gods play with mortals'' mood, especially loving it with the main character of the channel - Dom
Gloom is such a good pub game. The plastic cards help with the drink danger and the storytelling can be as wild as you like! It'll drag in folk 😂
I love Gloom! The ridiculously morbid stories, the crazy events... cant see what the crew does with these Poor Unfortunate Souls 😂😂
Laurie and Dom in a depress-off. Perfect.
"In 1903, a candle maker from Stoke fell into a hole and was never seen again."
I don't know why, but this phrasing left me in stitches 🤣🤣
Sully nearly killed me at 12:00.
Dom you are one of my most favorite players, keep being you or if you want, dont be you, whatever works better, thanks.
Hahaha! Thank you!
Whoever did the work to scan in all of the cards, you are a hero and thank you for all of the work on this video and every other!
I really enjoy when Dom joins the games
I love how Dom just cheers everyone usually and the positive optimism is a nice change of pace.
"when the wind picks up and the rain comes down, and darkness overwhelms the world. yeah, thats what you want." best dom quote of all time 🤣 (or should it be 😭)
The PR mitigation montage is pure GENIUS! 🤣🤣🤣
My personal fan theory is that Jon is a gloom character
I just wanted to say that I really like the "first rule of board game club is" bits
That was just a horribly depressing debilitating time that ended in the joyous occasion of a coffin full of weasels.
It was very funny when Sully just sort of gave up trying with tying the narrative together and just went "ghosts hate being pissed on" and then carried that mindset through the rest of the game.
I'm a simple man. I see Dom Allen, I click the thing.
The hot air balloons are people trying desperately to escape Bristol...
"The life of a TH-camr." That got me freakin' rolling. 😂
Gloom is an absolutely brilliant game. There's a Cthulhu variant as well, which would play nicely on this channel...
always enjoy watching the members of this group play games! The banter, jokes an laughs just keep me coming back to the channel. Always brightens my day. Would love to see this group playing Dice Throne either the vs boxes or adventures think it would be a good fit for this group.
Official follow up petition for a Teri Takeover episode.
Praise be to our ruler Dom
I love this game! Didnt think they'd do it since I wasn't sure how the transparent cards would work on camera.
As a born-and-bred Stokie, I will not tolerate this slander.
It's all true of course but only we're allowed to say it.
Laurie, if you're seeing this, you're doing an awesome job hosting! Also, while you're here, don't forget to hydrate and take a snack break. 💛
I'm so glad I discovered this channel
Laurie enthusing about how much fun it is to spin the additions into a story is very relatable.
I've had this game for about a decade, and I love it. I'm so happy to see you guys playing it.
I can't say how much I've been waiting for you guys to play this one. Even has Dom to perfect it.
lmao i love the random city facts after the slander
That thumbnail art is brilliant. Cant believe laurie agreed to a picture before seeing the makeup artists pre recording ;)
I really liked the editing of this video, good job!!
Oh I’ve been waiting for y’all to play Gloom! I can’t wait to see how well this one goes with all the roleplay
Could you please add subtitles to explain the subtext of the bits about a tiny island's remote places, locally famous people and old shows for all those viewers that didn't live their entire life there ?

Loving the enthusiasm at the beginning of this episode. Top-notch engagement with the audience.

This was the first game I searched for when I found this channel, I am SO happy it's finally here!
I was so happy to see Laurie actually do well after so many times coming in last or just middle. Love to see it
big props for the editing of the transparent cards, brilliant
You guys definitely need to play this again. Outstanding!
We've had Dom as Margaret Thatcher in the original Horrified. I'm hoping we get Reagan for American Monsters.
As much as he tried Sullivan can never make me gloomy
Had the honor and privilege to play a round of Gloom with mr.Baker himself, about a decade ago. We played at a bar over a couple of pints, so an absolute blast it was.
Dom Glom Gloom! I love this game, never played it but I absolutely adore it!!!!
I've played this a few times, it's so much fun. I was so excited to see NRB playing this xxx
Any episode with Dom is a great episode I'm glad he's becoming a mainstay.

Dom episode awesome but Tom would had been great for gloom
I think almost all episodes would be better with Tom but I'm just a Tom Stan
Tom and Rosie!
5:38 made me almost choke from laughter
When you said this was coming this week I been mega excited to watch it, gloom is a amazing game

I am SO looking forward to this. I've been hoping and waiting you'd do this for some time.
OH MY GOD A NEW EPISODE OF NEMESIS?! EXACTLY WHAT I WISHED FOR LAST VIDEO?! I LOVE YOU GUYS!
Okay I'm not gonna lie... excited about this. I don't have a group of people who could play this game.
It's not a fridge, it's a sun closet.
I love this game! I first saw it played by Achievement Hunter on Let’s Roll and I’ve been hooked ever since! Love Gloom! 👍🏻🤙🏻
of course dom would be good at a game about making people sad and killing them. Its the only thing that brings him joy
please continue making fun of different parts of England because this is the most I've gotten to know about it 😂 (Spaniard here. we never got told the details of English geography aside from basics)
I've been waiting all week for this!
Can imagine Tom would be great to watch play this game!
Love this episode 👍🏽 so happy Dom won and so funny 😂
Woah, the new intro is fantasic
Love Gloom! There's also an expansion called Gloomier which adds a couple mechanics. Played it for my bday last week. It's such a good game.
I love how Dom completely refuses to accept Russell's Hall as an 'osspidal just like the rest of us.
Would love to see the chaos of them playing munchkin
Great game and with a Dom, no less! Yay.
Wooooooo! Absolutely love the new intro!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I freaking love this game. I can't wait to see how they play.
Dom is the GOAT!
Lemmy is both the reason you can't make fun of Stoke, but also, the only obvious outcome of coming from Stoke.
Only 9 seconds in but i know I'll love it. I love Gloom even though my family refuse to play it
Really like this new intro!
The slow zoom durong the is a nice touch. I'm telling you these guys are sersiously stepping up their game!
Thumbs up for Slough... Is something neither I nor anyone ever thought they would say ever.
9:18 Is just Suly being Waluigi
Love the new intro!
Funnily enough I lived in Slough back in 08-09 and I now live in Stoke-on-Trent XD I appreciate you informing me that I've picked the two worst cities to live in =P
Dr Brown literally came and went
Loved this episode! The sounds levels were tricky to hear though, it often came through painfully loud when the players were excited and barely audible (even at max volume) when they were describing their cards - might just be my laptop though!
Love the intro!
love love love the intro
Loving the new branding, suits the channel very well!😊
This is when you play the sims for the 1000th time and your playthrough consists of torturing an entire family for fun, but made a board game
Holly looks great! The dark lipstick in particular is a nice touch.
