I am embarrassed to say that, in the intro, when he said “yell out a Star Wars character” as an example, I tried to say Boba Fett, panicked, and said Wobbuffet instead. Something tells me I’d be really bad at Anomia.

brianna beck Honestly, it was a pro-gamer move. Also a very good bet. Everyone was getting low on cards, and you can’t be stuck with a skull if you want to put down two cards but get down to two cards left, so (like Brennan) it’s possible some or all with 2 cards had all roses. And if you do have skull, if the first card you put down is a skull, you can’t bet, unless you’re hoping someone bets higher and gets your skull. But again, that means you can’t try for a win.
Brian had a pretty good shot at everyone’s single card being a rose and he had 3 cards left so if he lost the round he’d still have two cards. But if he won he would win the whole game.

My friend got me into polygon by showing me Brian's unraveled videos. I watched them all in like 2 days between work, cried a little, then went searching for more Brian content. Now I have new favorites and have fallen deeper into this rabbit hole. To my friend who started me on this path to enlightenment, I thank you for your service.

As competitive as Brennan is, he is a god tier hype man. Any accomplishment feels that much juicier with his exuberant reactions.

I just wanna say I think Brennan should be a permanent edition. The Coup episode has been my favorite by far and this was a another fantastic episode. Would love to see some more Deception based gameplay, if you want something similar to the Coup try "The Resistance: Avalon" it's very similar to the Coup because it's made by the same people! I would love to see this crew play some Avalon although I would say that my personal preference of the game is for 7 players (with the addition of Percival and Morgana) so you might wanna bring in another person! That being said the game does play well with 6 or even 5.

As much as I’d love that, Brennan is the one Creative that Sam Reich kept on board when CollegeHumor had to lay everyone else off, even when people like Mike Trapp, then-Head Writer, were being let go. I think he’s there to stay.

The way everyone gets along here is great. Most of all I'd love to see Brian's playfulness in a Dimension 20 game, I could just see him and Brennan ramping up the score with eachother.

I've watched this several times over the last year. This whole group had such great chemistry and I love Brennan so much, and also that final round with BDG is so great.
everyone has a tell in skull. Brian's leg jumps when he's nervous, Pat is more talkative when he knows he has the high ground, Simone fiddles with her thumbs when nervous, Jen doesn't talk when she doesn't want attention drawn to her, Karen laughs when she wants the group to turn over her chips, and Brennan twitches his knuckles when he's being "accused" or he's uncertain.

When I would play Anomia at a friend's house, one of our rules (which I assumed was official but maybe he just made it up as a challenge) was that no one could repeat any of the examples given in losing rounds or in conversation, i.e. after the first time "Lois Lane" was mentioned, no one could use it from then on. Makes the game significantly harder IMO.
