Not a big fan of SUVs, but if I had to buy one, it would likely be the F-Pace. Looks fantastic.

It looks so much bigger than the Macan though. The Porsche has the best exterior proportions of any SUV in my opinion, but fails on the interior that lacks backroom space for the passengers

S Miller Your not wrong, Jag now makes arguably the best looking sports car (f-type coupe) and without doubt the most stylish crossover. Right now there's not new Jag I wouldn't buy.......just need 50k.
It's one of the nicest SUVs available now, that has to be said. I'd probably prefer the Macan.

Great car, yes. But man those roads. I went to Montenegro twice, by a car. Absolutely loved it. Go there, by your own car, whatever it is. Except Reliant Robin, obviously.
True, I went there with my MX-5 and it was glorious! Those mountains and roads are gorgeous!

I prefer it like this. Calm music and no fiddling about with various effects. The hairpin cut at 5:52 was very clever. And letting the noise be the introduction was very much to my liking.

Nice review. Looks a bit like a Cayenne from the rear. Important car for Jaguar when you consider that Porsche sell more SUVs than any other car even though they are known for the 911. Their Cayenne and Macan sales are what allow the R&D for 918s.

After watching this and the Vantage GT8 videos back to back I've noticed the detailing on the gear paddles, with the cut out '+' and '-'. It's beautiful!

Excellent video! Looks good, the F-Pace that is. All that money for that crappy tech pack though; that could be trouble. Porsche for sure wouldn't have that issue! That infotainment system has got to be a blow!

Edward Fuentesfina Don't be! My Mazda dealer said it will be several months til I can order one. Maybe a year to be delivered. They are stil not taking orders for RF, so I'm on a pre-pre-order list! :)

Exterior styling is years ahead of anything else, and the interior looks beautiful, all the extra design touches work pefectly.

You are correct that they would sell the,may the "bucketload" As of right now, you cannot find one on the lot. Every single one coming off the production lines is already sold.
Here they have 2-3 in stock, but they're either stripper base models or heavily loaded, not much in between.

It's main competitor looks to be the base GLC. But for 2 grand more you get the more powerful GLC. Game over.

Man, it looks great. Probably my favorite SUV, aesthetic wise. I'm interested to see how the Maserati Levante will look in footage like this, but Jaguar did great with this car.
That German license plate is the funniest thing about that review.

Where are you from may I ask? And yes they do a fantastic job on Carfection, I mean XCAR.
i haven't driven tue F-pace but i have driven a Range Rover Sport Supercharged. I'd describe it like this: The supercharged is a SUV that behaves like a muscle car. Yes it corners well for a near 2 tonne car but when you start getting close to the edge it starts doing funny and unexpected things. Its like a motorway basher, sit at 130 in a straight line without a care in the world. From what i have heard about the Jag, it is much more of a sports car in terms of cornering ability and so on. So in summary Alex is right, it won't steal sales from the Landrover group.

+Tivon Sanders It's about the Direction, cinematography, grading, and editing. Not the equipment. You should be asking who the PEOPLE are not what they were using.
+Christopher O'Grady Well if they recorded this with an iPad and edited it with a 99 cent app it wouldnt be good. So yeah the equipment matters
Nate Barry You're missing the point, it's obvious what tier of equipment & software was used here, clearly along the lines of at least a BM URSA, and Adobe Premiere Pro. ANY of those product's competitors would be able to produce just as good of a video with the same crew, but a random person couldn't get anywhere close even if they were given a RED Weapon. Believe it or not an iPad isn't a competitor to a real camera. This could have been shot with all sorts of different combinations, it doesn't matter, it's just pro gear, what matters are the PROS themselves.
No F-ing way.
Back to the drawing board. Remember, "Grace, space and pace." Grace is first for a reason.
Now we need a simple E Type . Forget the Gizmos . You've got the parts , just make it !!
Yes, but it's not a Macan is it? I took one out, didn't think much to it and I love Jags. Then took out a Macan and the driving experience was at another level.

+Mr DL Jaguar do know how to make a decent infotainment system, but they charge you £1000 to have it added as an upgrade
James I've driven a late 2015 Range Rover Sport autobiography with an updated system. The actual hardware seems to be ok, the screen is large and relatively responsive. But the actual software is still way worse than what you get in modern German cars

I would probably go for an RS Q3 though if I wanted a compact, sporty premium SUV such as this.

I'm surprised by the similar 0-60 time to the F-Type S Coupe. The latter weighs significantly less, and yet Jag claims the F-Pace to have the same acceleration stats?
Something doesn't add up.
The seats look ridiculously huge - the headrests at least.

That XE's cabin won't win customers over competitors (GLC and Macan), Jaguar should put more effort to design and select material+infotainment for their products. Next year we will have new X3 and Q5 which should be good for comfort and space. This F-Pace might look and fair better if it is a tad longer, because despite decent boot, back seats look as tight as Evoque/Macan (main reason to avoid them if you want to travel with your mates or colleagues).

There are a few things to be fixed on this car.
The colour and trim options do not do the car justice get a fashion designer here. to select options for your cars
Too much black inside and out this will make it a bake house in Dubai and a gloomy place in Iceland
Dont down spec entry level cars it went out in the 80's and looks amateurish
The vents at the front should be aerodynamically functional and vents on the side should have a function too.
The back below bumper should have a defuser design to give it a F1 racing mojo
Improve quality of trim barnical and bonnet catches
A silver grey roof option would also work
Makes better sense than a meccan as a motorway cruiser
The base model F pace looks like the best bet, if just on price alone. The issue is the large price difference to the next model F Pace means the Macan wins. A 'base' petrol S Macan is just over 40k and is damn quick.
+fish fingers Kinda depends what you want, surely. As the guy said, not everyone wants to have their fillings vibrated out - particularly over long distances. The F-Pace is evidently more mass. No doubt they'll do an R package soon enough ..

Have you seen the wheels on the base model, at least here in the states? Let's just say they won't look anything like the ones in this video.

I guess until the RS model, the Audi SQ5's 0-60 (0-100klm) at 5.1 seconds is still the Porsche Macan's closest rival.
Well it sure is about the best looking SUV on the market currently. I´m seeing forward to a more detailed review for practicality stuff and confirmations on the economy numbers - The last one is usually a mention from Carfection, but not in this Video - Perhaps ti´s also more relevant in the 2.0 and 3.0 Diesels.

This has to be the best looking SUV you can buy!
As a Macan owner, I am happy Jag made this car. More competition is always good it will push Porsche to make the next Macan even better and not be complacent. But i doubt Porsche engineers were ever complacent seeing how they push their cars in terms of engineering.
