I run a 351 strokes to 427, fastest time I have ran so far is 5.97 in a 1/8 60 foot was 1.37 at 118 mph

So, don't hate on me too much, because I'm 37 and I've owned 65 cars since I was 14, and quite a few of them have been domestics, including a 74 Camaro Z28 making 600 whp. I have a 2003 Acura CL Type-S J32A V6 six speed manual swapped CG1 2001 Honda Accord with a GT3582 turbo and it's currently making around 500 whp and it'll spin both front tires from 1st through 4th. It's ALOT of fun. I also have a 1997 EJ8 Honda Civic coupe with a fully built LSVTEC turbo that makes 612 whp on 22.5 psi of boost. It's my racecar. It's nothing outrageous, but it's been 9.56 @ 155 mph.

Amen! I’m currently stroking my Hemi 5.7 to a 6.4 high compression forged stroker due to a bad piston. Do many people were telling me to swap an LS into, I like LS motors, but they are now overdone.
Bri-man Hunter I’m an ls guy all day, but I also like the strength of the Windsor’s, plus I don’t believe in mix matching motors to cars lol if u bought a ford build what’s in it lol

One of my dad's friends had a lx coupe with a 351 Windsor on nitrous as well. I got to ride in it one time and while I didn't experience what the nitrous felt like the car would still haul ass.

Lot of nice touches on Mad Maxine! Full glass qtr windows, gold wheels, the 4 buckets with two consoles, but my favorite is the satin black paint. That’s what I want to do eventually!

Those wheels are awesome! Not a big 4-eye guy but that is a very nice Foxbody. That 351W swap is sweet and believe you should looking into it on Tarheel fox.
I wasn't big on the 4-eye either, but it's been growing on me. This is a perfect example of one in my opinion. I really would like to 351 swap, just not in the budget right now.
Just got home from the leftovers of PITS. Hate some of you guys didn't make the trip. Just know e had a great time without vendors etc. Such am amazing group to be involved with.

South side lowers worked good on my car I still have a pair but aren't on my car right now but they worked good for me for the times I was running that was an easy way to change the instant center back in the day just you where stuck with one setting,im about to put back on cause i don't want to cut up my 85 they worked better than my adjustable lowers I got now
I never used them but heard all about them back in the day. Very cool you're putting them back on. Definitely don't cut up that 85.
Great video. I like the front of the ‘79-‘82s. I remember when Ford switched to the aero front and it just didn’t appeal to me. 4-eyes forever. 🤣

I sold my first Fox, a 91 hatchback, in 2004 to an engineer that lived in Tryon. I have always wondered what happened to it.
Hopefully he still has it and takes good care of it. You do always wonder about that though, or at least I know I would too.

my dad used to have a 81 Mercury Capri until he sold it to make my room for his 65 mustang coupe
I like Capri's, but I think he ultimately made the right choice.

I can agree the 3.73 gear even in the 6 speed is meh, I think 3.55's is that happy middle. My 08 197 GT500 had a 3.73 gear. Violent up to 5th lol

That hood ornament is expensive for a badge. My oldest sons is a 81 and his looks its age when he paints it he wants a new hood ornament. He's a young dad with wife and two babies. So I'm getting ready to paint my 16yr olds 83 vert and while we are doing that im going to buy the paint and a new hood ornament and help him out with that my car is a 90 and when I started looking for 4eye parts theres a lot of stuff thats not reproduced the nose 85 86 gt only and don't need the header pannel bc its not reproduce at all for 4eye cars. Oh and apparently door mirrors when I looked them up the other day all it would pull up was 87 up. Soo if I dont find a set somewhere looks like the 83 will get 87 up mirrors on it. I live in hot springs ar and when I finally found a nose I had to drive to tulsa ok to buy it. Got lucky though it came off a 84.5 gt 350 so its got the 85 86 air dam and the 83 84 grill. I can't find the gt fog lights so I think I'm going to build piping that goes from the holes for the lights threw the fenders and into the dual snorkels on the factory carb breather. Kinda home made cold ram air deal.
That's cool your kids are into FoxBody's as well. Way to spread that throughout the family! If you want you can give Fox Mustang Restoration a call. They are local to me and have a lot of Fox parts for the 4 eyes. They may not have what you need, but it's worth a shot. Their number is 704 - 888-1278 and tell them Gearhead sent you.
@@GearHead704 Thanks brother I will try. Yeah my boys love them bc they were the mustangs of my day. I graduated in 1993. My oldest has the 81 t top hatch 1st year for production t top i think the pace car had them in 79 but 81 was first for all car option. And my 16 year old has the 83 convertable 1st year for the vert. And even though ford didn't do much for it other than a dash badge mine is the 90 25th year. So all three are kinda cool in their own right. Im planing on a shop at home soon as I'm done with foundation for it. Since it will be a man cave kinda hobby shop im doing it up in 80s stuff to kinda go with what we are into. I even have a 1987 coke machine thats going inside and a 80s era gas pump to put outside. And not just any 80s gas pump I got it from the lady who owns the old store I use to live right by its the actual pump I use to use to gas up my highschool mustang at when I was a teen. Ive got some old exxon signs since that was a big 80s era gas station the one is a kinda see threw for a light behind it so I'm going to build a frame and with led light inside so it lights up at nite and on the kinda blank blue side im going to put pops fox shop. Thats what my 3 year old grand son calls me. I told my wife im to dang young to be paw paw and pops is what I called my dad when he was alive so thats what I'm going with. I can't wait to get shop done maybe when its done I can send some pics to you. It will give me and the boys a place to work on our cars. I also got a new go pro I plan to start a TH-cam channel called pops fox shop once its done. And to be honest you brew2l and Caleb are my inspirations for it ive been with the three of you for a while. When I started watching you the Tarheel had just been painted and brew2l still only had retro fox and Caleb was still working on his coyote swap and he and dover were still in the old shop. So thanks to the three of you for the inspiration.

In my opinion the the '79 -'84 four eye stangs look better than '85-'86 because of the grills. '85-'86 are cool but they're my least favorite foxbodys. But like most people I'm partial to the '87-'93's along with svo's.
I never used to like the 4 eyes, but the've really grown on me. I probably like the 85-86 a little more, but this 82 has certainly been changing my opinion. Such a fun and clean car.
