I know on Holland America I’ve put up the do not disturb sign on the Sabbath (Saturdays) and then make sure I see the cabin steward who always ask if I’m ok. They’re definitely trained to make sure they touch base with you if 24 hours have elapsed and they haven’t entered your room.
The woman using the webcam to babysit is not a mother. Those poor kids.
The other cases are so sad. You go to have an enjoyable time and then tragedy strikes. Praying for these families 🙏🏽

When I was in college there was a student who wasn't a drinker. That boy got so wild-it was actually scary and he didnt drink THAT much. Some people shouldn't have alcohol.

My 18 year old son was able to get drinks in the casino on his first cruise on Royal Caribbean.
That’s crazy. But I guess if you just sit in the seat and look old enough you can get a drink from the runners. But I think on carnival they still scan the ID. But I’m not sure about other lines. I’m sure they will start addressing this stuff the more it happens.

You don't need to have a drink package to buy alcohol on a ship. Royal drinking age is 21. They do allow 1 person in a cabin to buy a deluxe package and another to buy a refreshment package, but you must call to do this.
Ahh ok because on carnival they charge everyone in the cabin if the drink package is applied to one one person in that cabin. I’m not sure if there is a warning on the card to where if someone under 21 just goes to a bar on the boat to swipe the card if it will let them get it or warn they are underaged. Still crazy however.
Info embedded in the card is supposed to prevent underage sales. Someone could have passed him drinks. Some of the problems were family dynamics.
@@julieb7882 ya that’s what I was implying in the video. The father said they don’t drink. So he is implying no one in their group gave him any, unless he was supplied it from the friends he was hanging with on the boat. Still a tragic situation regardless what happened.
Yes, they should do a welfare check. Medical events DO happen on cruises.
Absolutely. But it’s sad the family posted it with the misleading context. Medical emergencies happen all the time, so if no one ever checked then they would complain, “why did staff never check the room” . Can’t win for losing.

He didn’t feel what?? The impact? I just don’t see how he could survive being drunk and in the ocean that long.
