Does anybody remember this cruise I took last year? It was fantastic, and I've just seen that it will be the same price at the start of next year as what I paid! >> th-cam.com/video/h02ew33tSbI/w-d-xo.html 🤠😇 🙂🥳 If anybody fancies a bargain, get in touch at emmacruises.com/book-a-cruise/. At the moment it's looking like £910 per person for the 12 night cruise (based on two sharing an inside cabin) including flights and a stay in Athens. Cheap as chips. My recommended agents can quote you for anything of course. 😎👍
Just watched this video . Memories came rushing back. My late wife and I cruised on the Infinity back in 2002 when it was the largest and newest ship in the fleet. It was a 10 day cruise around Hawaii and repositioning to Canada. It was a wonderful cruise. The last for us. My wife passed away 2 months after we got home. I am still cruising. not as much now. Thank you so much for your videos, they are great. Thanks again for the memories
there is nothing wrong with older cruise ships that take fewer passengers .They can get into smaller ports ,dining is easier plus the ports do not become packed .Great video as always.
I will say it again and again and again….Your format of video is the best. Im getting tired of bloggers with their cameras out and talking all the time walking around the ship, restaurants, casino, bars, etc…..
I've been watching your vlogs for almost a year. Enjoy them so much, your sense of humor, British-isms of the week, Captain Hudson, cats... and I love your dresses with the flutter sleeves! Thanks to you I've cruised the world from my recliner in California . Booked on Princess to Alaska for 11 days next month. THANKS your quality videos!❤🎉 @@EmmaCruises
Just hope you didn’t think you were in Greece at the time, think of the mobile phone roaming bill 😱. To be fair Ancient Greeks used to live in parts of Turkey (e.g. Dalyan area).
Just to be clear, the Celebrity Millennium class ships (Millennium, Infinity, Summit and Constellation) are great ships. And Celebrity doesn't let them run down or provide less in the way of quality. I would sail on any of them any time, and I was recently on the Ascent. They are a little different experience, but wonderful in their own way. Also, the smaller ships can go to ports that the larger ships can't go to. Glad you had a great time, Emma. I do want to point out that dresses aren't "required". I've been on eight Celebrity cruises and never took a dress or a skirt. I accessorize around a nice pair of black slacks.
did a 14 days Celebrity Millenium Cruise from Singapore to HongKong over Xmas/NY 2019/2020, the last pre Covid. Loved it and honestly I prefer the smaller ships as they are cozy and can go into smaller ports.
We went on a nine day Celebrity cruise last summer from Barcelona to Civitavecchia (terminal nearest Rome) with stops and excursions nearly every day. Celebrity is our go to now, accept no substitutes!
Agree with you and was on an early sailing of the Ascent. Could you find a better ship at any price. Really. Show me one. OK The Oasis class ships are unique and give you a unique experience. If you want to do a Transatlantic these are amazing ships. Their layouts have actual mini neighborhoods inside. A unique protected completely separate walking track almost a quarter of a mile long. And you are right about the infinity. Celebrity does a great job on all their ships. Bar none. We are Elite on Celebrity and Diamond on RCCL. With that said a few years ago we were on the very last American cruise to Cuba. The very last one. Thats a shame that we are doing this to the Cuban people who desperately need our financial support as they are impoverished and without hope although they do try. We were on the very very old Monarch of the Seas and it was a sad ship. Im glad it was only three days on that ship. So there is some merit to an argument like this but I would put it this way, is it worth it to be on a very old and not updated ship.
I LOVE the Celebrity Millennium class ships - I know where to find stuff, and I love the Solarium. It's always toasty and calm, with no kids screaming cos they provide separate areas for different types of guests. It might sound silly but I rank an indoor pool area really high when I'm choosing a trip, even if I'm going somewhere really hot. I also think the Celebrity buffets are some of the best for the pricing, and the restaurant staff are a lot better trained than some of their competitors.
The best cruise we have ever had was on Celebrity Constellation around the Caribbean. We sailed on small and large ships and always say the cruise on the Connie was the best. Could not fault the delicious food, staff, the ship, cabins or ports of call. The food on the ships that sail from Florida tends to be better, but that's personal choice. We love Celebrity.
Celebrity is one of our favorites because they're upscale without being posh and cookies are my favorite. Generally, the food quality is some of the best regardless of which venue you go to. We also very much like their staff.
We've take several Celebrity cruises but always on Solstice-class ships. Interesting to see that the older class ships also offer the same Celebrity service. Best food afloat for us!
The Solstice class is like the Millennium class with added restaurants on a more Celebrity designed hull. Service should be consistent across the fleet.
Indeed. There is some misconception that just because ships are older that they aren't going to be kept up and will have reduced service or inferior crew. With Celebrity, nothing could be further from the truth.
I took my first Celebrity Cruise to Mexico Out of L.A. on the Stolstice. It was amazing. We splurged for all the restos and the French one was one of the best restos I have ever eaten in and that is saying a lot as I have eaten in most of the "good" restaurants in the SF bay area. It is my go-to line as it is just a little more costly than the budget-premium lines and has a great compliment of guests and staff.
I worked as a photographer on the cruise ships from 1994 -1997, on several different ships, including celebrity line, which had the best " crew " food. Back in the nineties, this would have been the biggest and most modern ship out there.
Emma.. there’s always something in me that always inspires me to cruise, and I never knew why, but the inspiration was you, If it wasn’t for you, I would never have gone on a cruise, Never. Since watching you, I have become the best cruiser yet! Still cruising with Mickey tho!
Omg, my parents were on this exact cruise! I don’t think I saw them in your footage though, but I tried 😅.We also want together on Infinity last November. I was worried about it being an old ship but the crew and their attention to all the little things made it a very enjoyable experience!
I love, love, love the Celebrity Summit. The thelassotherapy pool is reason enough to sail on this ship, but it also has real balconies, none of the "infinite balcony" nonsense. Sailing on these ships is a great value. Thanks for sharing your Celebrity Infinity experience with us and giving us a peek at a cruise of the Greek Isles; definitely on my bucket list. Im also glad you got to enjoy some sunshine!
I was also on a Greek islands cruise (+ Istanbul and Kotor) last week with Celestyal Journey, which is an even older and smaller ship (built 1994, max ~1200 passengers). With a small ship, we could visit more interesting islands like Chios and Kos, and crew members also got to know us better and even remember our favourite drinks and dishes!
That original carpeting in the casino looks like it was designed to help you lose money quicker. All you need to do is accidentally drop a tenner on it while walking in and you would never be able to find it. 😁
Hi Emma!! Happy you enjoyed yourself on the Infinity. Many years ago, my mum worked the company that owned Celebrity Cruises. Back then they were called Chandris. Owned by 2 brothers called John & Michael Chandris, the ships back then were even smaller than Infinity, holding less than 1000 passengers. It is why there is a big white X on all Celebrity ships. In Greek the name Chandris starts with X. I do find it amazing how big cruise ships have gotten over the last 20 years.
We have been on the Millennium, Solstice and Constellation when those ships were not "small" nor old. Celebrity's classics really provide a great experience.
Agree. In fact, I was on the Century, Galaxy and Mercury when they were neither small nor old. In fact, I remember people calling the 77,700 ton Mercury huge. In many ways, I felt the Century ships were the most innovative of the bunch. The Millie ships have changed a lot. I wish they would have kept the original specialty dining rooms though I don't mind some of the other changes.
I think you have the best cruise videos. I find the way you speak and the things you show and just your kind of practical views of things the best. Never in my life have I considered going on a celebrity cruise until I watch this one from you. The giant ships do not appeal to me at all being trapped, forced to be in lines forced to wait on everything because of the massive number of people this has made me think that maybe I will start looking at these types of things when it’s less crowded. The age of the ship doesn’t bother me at all I love that it’s smaller.
Nauplion is a former Greek capital. The old town is charming. There's numerous sites to visit from pre-Greek to late Ottoman times very close by; if you time it right you can catch an ancient play at an ancient amphitheatre with great acoustics. There's options for swimming and hiking. You can also engage in some nearby island hopping (Hydra, Spetses) and these are pretty distinctive - and not nuked out of all character by mass tourism.
Fun fact: 112 years ago today, the RMS Titanic set off on her maiden voyage. She was the largest ship in the world at the time. She was also roughly half the size of the Celebrity Infinity- which by today's standards is small. Wild how things have changed.
My wife and I cruised on the Infinity in 2004 from Ft. Lauderdale through the Panama Canal to San Diego. At that time, Infinity was of Panamax Class, which meant it was the maximum size able to traverse the Canal. We have always been Celebrity fans and we enjoyed this ship. Thanks for bringing us along for the fond memories!
I think this would be the cruise for me. At 68 I don't need all the bells and whistles of the newer monster ships. Not a fan of big crowds. The price is great too! And, I love cookies, tho I prefer crunchy. My biggest concern is that I get seasick easily. Anyway, thanks for a great review! Regards from Indiana!
8:54 Oh good god, this channel is getting so good! I wrote a blog post about a year ago about how you and Alexander The Guest are my two favorite new TH-cam channels, because you're both doing your own thing with a distinct style - and over this year, both channels have developed so much! Absolutely love your videos, thank you for sharing :)
Not usually one to comment but I'm watching this with my seven year old and he was amazed to hear you say that you've never had a cup of coffee in your life. 😂 I told him that you are British so you drink tea and he said, "So I've had more coffee than her and she's an adult?!" Grandpa gives him tiny cups of coffee now and then when we visit. 😊
I have sailed on the Infinity several times in the early to mid 2000's. Looks like she's in good shape. At the time she was considered cutting edge and a "larger" ship. Funny to hear her described as an old, small ship now...lol. The grand staircase in the atrium, the main dining room, and the aqua spa(solarium) were always some of my favorite features of this beautiful ship.
I was thinking the same thing? if Cruise shipping is your thing, note night over large night club, it' everything? missing passengers, all the big ship have, launch boat, for where ship to big for the port, or there no port? why could leave one behind, for the stragglers, they could easy catch up ship on it on root to next stop?
This video makes me want to sail this ship and itinerary. And it was something I never would have considered. Thank you for trying out what we don’t have time to tryout, so we can be very intentional with vacation time. Looking forward to the next video.
I much prefer the older, smaller, ships, although at 90,000 tons this is still a substantially sized vessel. I've sailed on this ship and one of her sisters, Constellation, both top notch.
A couple of years ago we saw your journey on Celestyal Cruises so we booked ourselves a spot and went. We had a blast! Thank you so much for that tip and all of your videos. Now I'm just waiting for my Captain Hudson V4 to take on our next cruise.
I took my very first cruise on this vessel in 2007. It was the Alaska cruise from Vancouver BC. I think it is a very comfortable ship. The decor was minimal, open and bright. And yes, the cookies were the best part lf the day. Great video Emma.
I love Thalassotherapy pools, and sadly, many ships no longer have them. They are supposed to have a water temp lower than a hot tub, but warmer than a regular pool. Very relaxing...
A cruise was something I'd not particularly considered before (most likely due to my ill-informed cliched preconceptions about such things), so somewhat to my surprise, I finid myself about to pop my cruise cherry later this year with a Princess British Isles cruise. My Mum at 82yrs wanted to try one whilst she's still able to, so she opted for the peace of mind of being simultaneously home and away...and, I wasn't about to turn down the opportunity of going along for the ride. I came across your channel (amongst many) whilst doing my 'homework' and I thank you for the detailed information I've gleaned from your work on here. It's been really helpful and much appreciated, and the style of presentation has for me, been the best. Furthermore, it's most definitely, whetted my appetite for cruises! Whether I'll like crusing or not remains to be seen, but as someone who's not particularly fussed (yet!) about all the cruise 'bells and whistles', the cruise ship in this particularly video looked flippin' perfect, and if all goes well, I'll definitely be looking out for this 'old lady' as a possibility for a 2025 cruise. Thank you for work which is the perfect combination of informative and enjoyable.
I don’t even watch cruise videos and I have no idea how you got on my timeline. But you are adorable. The way you describe everything and your little quirks mixed in was very entertaining. Keep doin what you doin. ❤
Great video (as ever), and I chuckled when I realized it was the Infinity which we sailed on a few months ago for a Spain - Portugal cruise. We had also sailed on the Infinity for a South American Buenos Aires to Valparaiso cruise in 2015. Having sailed on all the Millennium class ships (Constellation, Infinity, Millennium, and Summit) as well as multiple Solstice class ones, it's hard for me to not recommend the "old" and "aging" ships in their fleet at a nice discount to the "new" Edge class pricing. For adults, Celebrity is a great option. And we always love the "weird" art on-board too. These small (by modern standards) ships are a real sweet spot for affordability and crowds with no sacrifices for service & food.
we did 14 nights on the Celebrity Constellation and 15 nights on the Celebrity Infinity. The service on both ships was excellent and our rooms were fine. We took the Constellation to eight islands in 2012 and the Infinity through the Panama Canal in 2015. My only complaint was that the Infinity ended up going to “Code Red” for 12 days because some one brought Noro on board and shared it. 😮
19:00 Being born, raised & still living in Southern California I’ll tell you 66°f is Not Warm😊 Im in my backyard watching this it’s currently 8:43pm & 60°f & I have my Outdoor Heaters on! 😊🥶🥶🤫
I recently found your programs, and due to your pleasant presentation, your ability to laugh at yourself and not be so darn serious, I am hooked. My husband is not a cruise lover but I am. We cruise some and we do land trips some . Your programs are delightful. It helps me to pretend I'm there also. Seriously, these are terrific. Thank you!!
One of the benefits of aging is that the aging of decor isn't so obvious . Also, when you retire you'll be able to catch some of these last minute travel deals....Thanks for posting.
I took a cruise on Celebrity Infinity to the Alaska Inside Passage in 2007. Glad to see the old ship still running, and fun to see all the amenities again. Thanks Emma!
Admittedly, I have never been on a cruise. That said, I thoroughly enjoy your videos, Emma and this is one of my favorites. I think that this is as big of a ship as I would care to sail on. I love the feeling of moving over the water on small boats. You lose that with floating cities. Also, whatever a ship has to offer that can't be appreciated in the available time in the duration of the cruise is superfluous. I get why some people love an abundance of choices, but give me a comfortable room, a reasonable selection of well-prepared foods, a bit of good entertainment, a comfortable deck chair, a bottle of Scotch... I think I would be happy. That indoor pool arrangement looks particularly nice, though it always seemed a bit illogical to climb into a boat to swim. 😅
Thank you, I enjoyed the video. I was particularly fascinated by you reaction to the vessel being small. It's smaller than most cruise ships of today but at 91,000 tons it is about 3 and 1/3 times bigger that Carnival Cruise lines first two ships (I worked on both) in the 1970s which were each only 27,500 tons. They felt like you were at sea.
That's the type of boat I'd go on if we do another cruise. The only cruise I have done was on an old Dolphin Cruise lines ship in the Caribbean. It was built in 1958, and carried 800 passengers and 400 crew. The food was excellent. With only 800 passengers the ports weren't overwhelmed.
This popped up on my feed. I do know about this channel but I love love how you put your videos. Wonderful budget cruise investigation here. Cheers to you and your brother.👌👌🙏🏽🙏🏽
We sailed the Infinity on a 17 night cruise through the Panama canal in 2011. Absolutely fantastic cruise. Sailed its sister ship Summit on a 14 night cruise to Hawaii in 2006. Wonderful also.
First time commenting. I'm not, by any means, a 'cruise person', but I do follow your channel for a while now. I really appreciate the way you do things, always so down-to-earth, and how you keep your videos about the cruises and not about you. It's very easy to relate. Valuable content, Emma. Congrats
Haha, 23 year old ship - we sailed on the Celebrity Millennium X in its maiden season, I think about that long ago. Apparently one of the propeller shafts was slightly bent so they couldn’t go full speed, frequently getting embarrassed by older ships between ports. To said the brand new ship would have to go into dry dock for repairs after that first Caribbean season. Great all around experience, perhaps a bit more pampered than we preferred since sister Royal Caribbean was more typical for us.
If you liked the Infinity, then you should try her sister ships, the Constellation and the Summit. They’re all almost identical ships, really nice and comfortable.
We had a fab cruise on the Infinity. The updated public rooms were great and the ship was friendly with the staff taking time to chat with loads of smiles.
@@EmmaCruises i’m curious, and it’s none of my business, but I’m assuming you were not solo in your room that your boyfriend was with you? I’m assuming this because you usually room with your brother when you’re on a family cruise, I think I’ve heard you say that. Does your boyfriend not like to appear on camera ever?
Well, it's smaller but I wouldn't call it small. When it was built, it was a large ship. Ships have gotten just really, really large. A small ship to me is 40,000 tons, maybe 50,000 tons, not 91,000. Most of the very expensive cruise ships are no larger than 60,000 tons.
We sailed on Celebrity Infinity last year to Antarctica! We loved it! It doesn’t matter if it’s old, the destination was worth it and the staff were all fantastic!
As for the dining rooms! I think this is something that, like shopping habits, will sway back and forth. People flocked to malls, then to boutiques, then back to malls etc., etc., Houses do this in North America. Open concept. More rooms....open concept...rinse repeat!
We were on Infinity January last year 2023 for South America and Antarctica . We loved the small ship and felt very comfortable . The crew were amazing and you felt the crew really got to know you . The thought of the bigger ships is really not for us . This Feb we were on the Millennium for Singapore India cruise , although bigger than the Infinity it is not one of the bigger ships we loved the size of it too .
My first cruise was on the Summit (same class) just a few years ago. I loved it. The ship was in great condition - everything was updated, spotless, and obviously maintained very well. I can't imagine going on a bigger ship for many reasons.
I had the pleasure working there 20 years ago as a Purser. Beautiful ship and one of the few still with GAS Turbines. Noiseless and great memories! Thanks Emma, just discovered your channel and you have a new fan :) just started my channel so yours is really inspiring!
For anyone wondering whether to book Celebrity Infinity I cannot recommend it enough. I sailed in 2022 round the Caribbean and the food / service / entertainment was incredible. Oh and my mum said the coffee in Cafe Al Baccio was the best coffee she's ever had (and she's fussy) recommendations- The Igloo drink or Pistachio latté 💯
I sailed on Celebrity Infinity to Alaska 7 or 8 years ago - and thought it was nice / fine. I didn't know it was one of their smaller, older ships! Great video!
I worked on this ship back in 2010. Good to see her still making the rounds. One of the funniest things I remember from doing our crew boat drill was a member of the photo department in full pirate makeup and costume wearing his lifejacket and standing on deck with the rest of us.
I took my Mum on an Alaskan cruise on Celebrity Infinity in 2007 when she was very new. We had a great time, the ship was beautiful and service was superb!

If you ever arrive at cruise ship and there are "emma cookies" then you will know that they have recogniced you. Great and surprisingly good cruise where the ship never did feel really old, but remember: Are they really old ships ? I can remember QE 2 when it was 25 years or so end of the 80s and I would not be sure if that had been looking better. Long time ago, but this ship looked great at least whereever you went and showed us. I only watch these videos from time to time and most likeyl if they are extraordinary by the title cause the rather new ships have become twins and are loosing character which was not the case this time. I had thought it might end terrible, but it seems like you have enjoyed it a lot. Good luck for your next choice - must be hard to decide based on the huge amount of cruise ship around the world and in europe.
Love mine and made sure they knew it was on your recommendation, I couldn't use the code because I bought the backpack and got the crossover bag free, worth £28 so was a really good offer x
I really like the Millennium class ships and don't consider them so small. You got a great deal. I can't see ever paying a huge premium for an Edge class ship.
We're off on a cruise in a few days and this looked great. This ship looked to be in good order as well as very clean and airy. I do like the way you described her as small because I have served aboard smaller Aircraft -Carriers.
19:01 Where I grew up, it was pretty common that in late January, we'd get a week of -30 °C or colder, with a wind chill that would push it down into the -50s °C... followed in early February by a week of +4 °C. Let me tell you, that feels positively _tropical_ after -55 °C with wind chill! 😹
I actually cruised on this ship with my parents, while I was in college, back in 2002, out of Charleston, SC down to the Bahamas (7day). Was a GREAT trip. .. had some.. GREAT experiences.
Our local Canadian newspaper reviewed cruise ship specials this weekend. It mentioned "clothing optional and swingers" cruises. Sounds like the companies have all the options covered. Nice🤣
No problem! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼 More Celebrity menus and food pics here >> emmacruises.com/everything-i-ate-on-my-celebrity-cruise-photos-and-menus-food-review/
I did a 11 day cruise on a constellation class ship like this one and it was one of my best cruises ever. That was back in the day where Elite was the top tier of Captain's Club. Anyway I love long cruises on smaller ships because you get a chance to know the crew and fellow passengers. I exchanged Christmas cards with couple from our dining room table for a decade.
Why is there always somebody who thinks the ship should wait for them…every frigging time, there is some person who simply disregards the hundreds of other people who are also on the cruise!!!
Sailed on the Millennium last September, the namesake of the class of ship and it has undergone through the "revolution" complete renovation. Cabins and ship were beautiful and loved that it's still small enough that it doesn't get that crowded feeling. Just sailed on the HAL Zaandam, another older ship and it was also in great shape but the cabins definitely felt dated (but still in nice shape). It's even less crowded despite being at capacity (it was the total eclipse sailing) but dear lord, the company and the app were completely behind the times compared to Celebrity. Crew was just as good though.
Great fun to see Infinity again. Thanks for "taking us along". My wife and I are "loyal to Royal" albeit brand agnostic within their eco-system. Sailed Infinity only once - in '17 on repositioning cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Santiago Chile. Canal transit and equator crossing all in the same voyage. Always enjoy to more sedate vibe on Celebrity - and yes the cookies (and food) are standouts!
Emma, I remember when this class of ship was new and state-of-the-art! By the way, 90,000gt is not "small" in my opinion, it is "medium" sized. There are ships out there at 20, 30 or 40k gt. (Although I appreciate that there are some newer ships more than twice as big)
I love ships this size age and age. I worked on ships between ‘98 and 2008, so right in that era, albeit Princess ships were more conservatively decorated. This ship reminded me a bit of Zuiderdam, which also has comfy bench seating in the main lounge. It also has great carpet, ceilings and interesting/unusual art objects scattered around the ships. Great video!
I've taken cruises on each of the Millennium class ships and would be delighted to travel on them again. The video shows that they are being maintained. Everything you described matched my own experience. Celebrity is not for everyone, but if you're not looking for the latest cruise ship thrill rides it is an easy, comfortable way to vacation!
Hi Emma, we were on the Infinity a few weeks before you and the ship was only about 50% full. We were told that it had just come out of Dock and workers were still aboard and painting our Seaview cabin - so they upgraded us to a balcony. You were spot on with your comments and we had a great time on the Infinity. We are on Virgin in September. Looks like it could be a shock to our system.😮 Keep up the great Videos. Thanks Dave.
Thank you! This brought back some wonderful memories of when I first began cruising. In those days, the ships were the same size as Infinity or smaller. I much prefer the smaller size...which doesn't always mean smaller cabins! 😂 The mega cruise ships are definitely not my cup of tea but for those who like it, I wish you sunshine, balmy breezes, and calm seas!
I always love to watch your videos about budget cruises. I’m excited to be doing my first budget cruise in June! I found a 3 day balcony for $280 usd total. This will be the shortest cruise I’ve ever taken but I am super excited! 😊
I did this same cruise as a solo about 2 weeks before you. I met some wonderful people and had a great time. They didn't do a lot to support solos however, we soon found each other and had some fun adventures together. Thanks for the lovely review.
Does anybody remember this cruise I took last year? It was fantastic, and I've just seen that it will be the same price at the start of next year as what I paid! >> th-cam.com/video/h02ew33tSbI/w-d-xo.html 🤠😇

Thank you so much
for your videos, they are great. Thanks again for the memories
I'm glad your wife got to enjoy one last cruise, and that you continued to go on them. ❤
Thank you for sharing your wonderful cruise memories. They are irreplaceable.
@@deekey33 what a wonderfully worded reply. That was perfecto.
I’m glad she got to enjoy a cruise and relax, I’m sorry to hear she passed away two months later, That’s really heartbreaking.
❤❤
there is nothing wrong with older cruise ships that take fewer passengers .They can get into smaller ports ,dining is easier plus the ports do not become packed .Great video as always.
I will say it again and again and again….Your format of video is the best. Im getting tired of bloggers with their cameras out and talking all the time walking around the ship, restaurants, casino, bars, etc…..
Thanks you're very kind! I used to do that but I found it way to awkward to talk to camera when on a ship, doesn't suit me. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Totally agree, and so often the camera is pointed at themselves, rather than the ship or the sights.
I like both styles… but I’m with Emma, one would feel awkward.
@@psandoval805 I loved my Alaska cruise on the Sapphire princess. The crew were wonderful.
Pssst, I know Kusadasi is in Turkey, I said Greece in this video by mistake. My bad! 😆🥰
😁😜like Victoria is not in Alaska 🤗
Hahahaha I noticed that too😂 As someone with a Greek partner (from Athens too!), the worst thing you can do is confuse Greece and Turkey 😆😝😂
Also it's Turkiye now 😉🇹🇷
Just hope you didn’t think you were in Greece at the time, think of the mobile phone roaming bill 😱. To be fair Ancient Greeks used to live in parts of Turkey (e.g. Dalyan area).
What does my bad mean???
I was a travel agent when this class of ship came out. My boss sailed on the maiden voyage. He called it a perfect cruise ship.
Watching Emma's eyes light up when talking about cookies is adorable.
🤣🤣 Thank you! 😁❤️
small is a relative term......that is still a HUGE mass of steel. people get so hung up on the newest and biggest, these older gems get overlooked.
Just to be clear, the Celebrity Millennium class ships (Millennium, Infinity, Summit and Constellation) are great ships. And Celebrity doesn't let them run down or provide less in the way of quality. did a 14 days Celebrity Millenium Cruise from Singapore to HongKong over Xmas/NY 2019/2020, the last pre Covid.
@@PleaseApplaud Thanks. Will be looking forward to going on one. I know they do Dubai to Singapore. And thats on the list.
Friends don't tell friends that 2001 was 23 years ago
Shhhh!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Ha,ha! How did that happen?
😂
Uh oh. I can feel that I’m becoming my parents as the days progress…
I hope this is a math error...
Celebrity is one of our favorites because they're upscale without being posh and cookies are my favorite. Generally, the food quality is some of the best regardless of which venue you go to. We also very much like their staff.
Celebrity is the best, no matter how old the ship! The details, the people, the crew- the best.
This is my type of holiday , good budget , not too busy and sunshine in winter but not too hot . Great video Emma . 😊
Thanks so much 🥹❤️
that was a perfect boat,a perfect cruise---does not happen much
We've take several Celebrity cruises but always on Solstice-class ships. Interesting to see that the older class ships also offer the same Celebrity service. Best food afloat for us!
Yesss 😁🙌 Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
I would have been disappointed as a vegetarian that I never had any choice of main meal. I would have ended up living on choc bars
I worked as a photographer on the cruise ships from 1994 -1997, on several different ships, including celebrity line, which had the best " crew " food. Back in the nineties, this would have been the biggest and most modern ship out there.
Emma.. there’s always something in me that always inspires me to cruise, and I never knew why, but the inspiration was you,
If it wasn’t for you, I would never have gone on a cruise, Never.
Ha ha, definitely prefer these cabins! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Oooo that sounds fabulous!!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Bar tenders on every ship have always remembered us and our drinks...for 25 years
That original carpeting in the casino looks like it was designed to help you lose money quicker. All you need to do is accidentally drop a tenner on it while walking in and you would never be able to find it. 😁
Yess! You might get dizzy and fall on a machine, ha ha. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
So wild!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Love the small ships hate to see them disappear.
Oh you did!? That is so kind!! thanks so much it's much appreciated. Thank you! 😁❤️
Ha ha, I've had lots of mouthfuls of coffee but every one made me go YUCK!!! Hello to you and to your son!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Oooo, so glad!!! Thanks for ordering he would be arriving early May. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
With all the bells and whistles comes tons of families with kids running amuck...so stay far away!!! Lol!
Oh no! Not good, thats the risk of going anywhere other humans are I guess. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
19:00
Being born, raised & still living in Southern California I’ll tell you 66°f is Not Warm😊
Im in my backyard watching this it’s currently 8:43pm & 60°f & I have my Outdoor Heaters on!
Hubby and I cruised on Celebrity Infinity when it was new. The ship is unrecognizable to us now! It was a fantastic cruise way back when.
I love this ship!
Not a fan of the mega city ships.
And a small ship 1/2 full would be a trip made in heaven 💛
That's the type of boat I'd go on if we do another cruise. The only cruise I have done was on an old Dolphin Cruise lines ship in the Caribbean. It was built in 1958, and carried 800 passengers and 400 crew. The food was excellent. With only 800 passengers the ports weren't overwhelmed.
Ooo, amazing! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
My first cruise was on Dolphin cruise lines as well. Loved it.
My first cruise was also on Dolphin. Had a great time. That was over 35 yrs ago.
Sounds amazing!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Loved the Summit!
First time commenting. I'm not, by any means, a 'cruise person', but I do follow your channel for a while now. I really appreciate the way you do things, always so down-to-earth, and how you keep your videos about the cruises and not about you. It's very easy to relate. Valuable content, Emma. Congrats
Thank you! 😁❤️
"MELON-ee" I fell out of my chair laughing!!!
Emma, you haven't lost your touch/humor.😅
Hahah!! Glad I made you laugh. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
It's so cute. I feel like I need to learn fruit decor 😂
Yeah that's the clear winner 🏆
My own, admittedly toe curling, entries would be Eric Cantaloupa or Honeydew Barrymore
All I can think of is....oh no...melanie...I liked her
Haha, 23 year old ship - we sailed on the Celebrity Millennium X in its maiden season, I think about that long ago.
15:50 your brother must’ve kept his room extra tidy for his cabin attendant
He is very very tidy! 😂
I love a smaller ship! What a great video as usual. thanks for taking us along.
People flocked to malls, then to boutiques, then back to malls etc., etc.,
Houses do this in North America.
We went on our first cruise ever on this ship to Alaska. It looks wonderful. We thank you for the video of it. 👏
My first cruise was on the Summit (same class) just a few years ago. I loved it. The ship was in great condition - everything was updated, spotless, and obviously maintained very well. I can't imagine going on a bigger ship for many reasons.
Melon-ey! There is no need to change it. You struck gold! As a former WDW Cast member, I liked all the Disney references!!
Ha ha. Thank you! 😁❤️
I had the pleasure working there 20 years ago as a Purser. Beautiful ship and one of the few still with GAS Turbines. Noiseless and great memories! Thanks Emma, just discovered your channel and you have a new fan :) just started my channel so yours is really inspiring!
This ship looks so much like our 2009 Celebrity 7 day cruise in Norway. We loved going to the solarium for time to sit and rest.
I've spent over 3 years of my life on that exact ship. She's not THAT small. She's Panamax. I miss room 2314.
I sailed on Celebrity Infinity to Alaska 7 or 8 years ago - and thought it was nice / fine. I didn't know it was one of their smaller, older ships! Great video!
I worked on this ship back in 2010. Good to see her still making the rounds.
One of the funniest things I remember from doing our crew boat drill was a member of the photo department in full pirate makeup and costume wearing his lifejacket and standing on deck with the rest of us.
first pirate on sea with a lifejacket !!
I took my Mum on an Alaskan cruise on Celebrity Infinity in 2007 when she was very new. We had a great time, the ship was beautiful and service was superb!

@@lulucolby8882 Thank you!! :)
If you ever arrive at cruise ship and there are "emma cookies" then you will know that they have recogniced you.
Great and surprisingly good cruise where the ship never did feel really old, but remember:
Are they really old ships ?
Ms. Emma, I'm laughing, visualizing those people running an hour after the fact ... shame on me
I'm so relieved to see that there are still less than full cruises still available post the 2021 post-pandemic era.
All good! Nice ship, fun cruise, good weather and great review! Thanks Emma!
Thank you! 😁❤️
I cant believe how excited I get when one of your videos pops up on my screen!!! Thank you for making my day! :D
Haha, thanks so much I still get so nervous to post always!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Celebrity Infinity is my favourite cruise ship. I love sailing on her. She's small, the service is excellent and the food superb.
Always a good day when Emma uploads👍
Thanks so much 🥹❤️
No problem, enjoyed the video! ❤
SO TRUE
Indeed 👍🏻
Lol 😂
I actually cruised on this ship with my parents, while I was in college, back in 2002, out of Charleston, SC down to the Bahamas (7day). Was a GREAT trip. .. had some.. GREAT experiences.
Our local Canadian newspaper reviewed cruise ship specials this weekend. It mentioned "clothing optional and swingers" cruises. Sounds like the companies have all the options covered. Nice🤣
Ooo yes they do! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
@@EmmaCruises So when can we look forward to a review of one of those? 🤔
Haven't seen any of thise...thank god!
We've been on the sister ships... Summit and Constellation a number of times. They are great little old school ships. Celeberity is great.
Thank you for showing the food menus!
Infuriating isn't it?
Sailed on the Millennium last September, the namesake of the class of ship and it has undergone through the "revolution" complete renovation. Cabins and ship were beautiful and loved that it's still small enough that it doesn't get that crowded feeling.
Just sailed on the HAL Zaandam, another older ship and it was also in great shape but the cabins definitely felt dated (but still in nice shape). It's even less crowded despite being at capacity (it was the total eclipse sailing) but dear lord, the company and the app were completely behind the times compared to Celebrity. Crew was just as good though.
My first cruise was on the Infinity so she has a special place in my heart!
Awwh! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
I got on the p&O britana for £48 for 6 days
As a 3rd/4th passenger? Amazing! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Emma, I remember when this class of ship was new and state-of-the-art! By the way, 90,000gt is not "small" in my opinion, it is "medium" sized. There are ships out there at 20, 30 or 40k gt. (Although I appreciate that there are some newer ships more than twice as big)
Bargain! I do love a smaller, older ship 😅
Yeaaaaaah boi! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
I love dress code at dinner. Slobs go to the buffet..
Guess I'm the slob at the buffet.
@@migrose6547 yes, you are
I've taken cruises on each of the Millennium class ships and would be delighted to travel on them again.
