We went to Aruba years ago. We rode a party bus, party boat, rode the submarine, went to a BBQ biker bar, went snorkeling on a catamaran. Won money in the casinos. Had champagne at the lighthouse. It was the best vacation I ever had.
What did I notice in today's video? You're covering a lot of territory on your walk today, and your breathing is so much better since your surgery! Great job, Tony! Keep up the good work, and as always, thank you for sharing.
My very first time in Aruba was back in 1985. No one ever heard of Aruba there only 3 hotels, a windmill restaurant and wild goats everywhere to see it now it’s so insane!
The one cool part of your content is the misadventures are as entertaining as the adventures! That's the big separator between network TV travel shows and TH-cam, we see, and enjoy the mistakes, missteps, fumbles, and foibles as you (and others) make their way around the world. The world isn't perfect, and to show the hosts as imperfect as the world we all inhabit is part of the journey. Cruise on my friend, cruise on!
My first trip to Aruba was several years ago. We rented a condo at Eagle Beach with a rooftop terrace. We rented a car for a week and went everywhere. Our favorite was Baby Beach. It was breathtaking! Cruise stops since that trip and we rent a car for the day and visit our favorite spots. Enjoy the day!😊
Tony, my husband and I have been watching you for a long time now and we enjoy your news & the varying ways that you entertain your audience! You are just such a silly, thoughtful, kind person and congratulations on your continued success as a vlogger! I especially love going on your adventures with you with port stops and your cruise toors! Thank you for the education and fun times! Hugs!
It's been more than thirty years since I visited Aruba -Boy, has it changed! Thanks for the excellent tour. The island really should pay you a fee for your promotion -all you were missing was a visit to the beautiful beaches with the crystal clear, warm water. Guess I need to go back!
We will be in Aruba this November to celebrate our 35th anniversary, my 60th birthday & we bump to platinum level with Carnival,.as well... it's going to be an amazing trip! Thanks for the tour 😊
We're going again in November. It's such a wonderful place to visit!! We're going for our anniversary and for my husband's 60th birthday. Barefoot Restaurant is a perfect place to celebrate your special milestones. Food was awesome, with decent prices, the staff was incredible and drinks were perfect! Happy Birthday and Anniversary 🎉✨️🎂🥂
Liter to gallon conversion is 3.785 liters equal one gallon. So gasoline would be about $10.06AWG (Aruba Florin), depending the day of your fx conversion. so approximately USD is $5.60 to even $6+ a gallon with the currency exchange rate, as it varies.
Love Aruba. Been there twice : once on a cruise ship and once on a week all-inclusive. Went deep sea fishing on the all-inclusive; caught 4 wahoos! Going again next February again on the Venezia - definitely one of my favorite ports!
1 year ago exactly we were in Aruba for a week at the Renaissance( hotel with the private island). We were first introduced to Aruba on a Celebrity cruise. We rented a car and explored various beaches. Fun, relaxing time. Aruba is a constituent country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The " superfoods" grocery store is a really nice store. Keep your eyes closed when you leave, so many sad, stray hungry dogs.
We absolutely love Aruba. Headed back to Aruba in November on the miracle out of Galveston. We also go to Bonaire and Crystal Rios. It’s a 12 day we’ve done 214 days the last couple years and absolutely love the longer Cruises love watching big guy.❤
Back in 1969 I chose to sunbath by the pool while everyone else went ashore. Fell asleep for a couple of hours and woke up burnt to a crisp. That night my eyes swelled shut and spent 2 days in the ship medical center. Oh, and Hurricane Camille was churning its way through the Caribbean and while it was far far away from Aruba, the seas were rough everywhere. Only time I’ve been seasick. Could hardly stay in my upper bunk.
The Atlantis Submarine is a actual sub... I took the excursion in Dec 2018 and it was fantastic. We dove to 138 feet, lots of fish and even shipwreccks. Loved Aruba
Hi Tony, we love listening to your channel. I will be in Aruba for the first time in a couple of weeks on the Carnival Horizon. Thanks for all the info. I didn't know about the free trolley. Also great to see the Harley shop (girls cruise so hubby gets a t-shirt!) Keep on cruising. 😎
While I do love the Cahroose News (jazz hands), I'm REALLY enjoying these vlogs! Thanks for mixing it up, Tony. This was great bc you showed what you could experience without booking an excursion. Sometimes wandering and exploring is really fun! 😊👍
Hi Tony. Love the free trolley around town. Glad you were able to check everything off your list. That's a lot of steps you got in. Good for you, that's amazing! 👍🙌. Thank you for sharing so much of this adventure with us and all you do. ❤
Tony~~~You brought back so-so many MEMORIES of the many times we've been to Aruba!! I haven't cruised for 2 years now because of my back, but DARN we really WANT to Cruise at least ONE more time before we call it QUITS!! Our last cruise in 2022 was also Carnival as that was all my son could afford for his family and I told him that was OK, but Carnival is NOT one of our well liked Cruise Ships, but maybe because we're 77 & 78 and it's a "younger" crowd on Carnival. Anyway~~~~Thanks again!
I go to Aruba every fall with my family. We come from three states and we party hearty. Going on a cruise in January, which also has a stop at Curacao.
You absolutely need to take Atlantis submarine. I did it in Hawaii, complained about cost and short time in xub but lot of travel time to sub on the way. On the way back I was so happy I went and glad I spent the money because it was GREAT.
The best part of Aruba is the beach. We rented a car years ago and explored the north side of the island which has an entirely different landscape due to the wind. It was like being on the moon. At that time, local people left their houses completely open and I remember goats running around freely.
Couple of tips for people coming in on cruise ships: 1, skip the shops right by the cruise port. Most of the prices can be five to $10 more than the shops just across the street from the cruise port. The best option is the market across the street from the Citgo. Two, Rent-A-Car. It’s much more fun to cruise around Aruba and go where you want, when you want. As for the gas price, that was in Florin; in USD it’s $1.48 per liter.
I really liked the vibe of Aruba when we stopped in November 2023. We took the free trolley and then did some walking to a local beach near the port and then walked back to the cruise ship after.
My favorite port! I hired a personal guide who’s a you tuber that’s a local there. We had authentic food and went to the most unknown popular beaches. My best port experience by far!
I visited Aruba many years ago and stayed at an all inclusive resort. I loved the island. Did a lot of exploring on our own, even using the bus system to get around. My favorite thing besides the island's hot sauce was the fact that Aruba uses the same water filtration system as NY, and being from NY, we could drink the water everywhere eithout problems.
We’re headed to Aruba and Curacao in November this year (all the way from Down Under) and being able to see this really has helped us to decide what shore excursions we will be doing. Thanks for the great info!
Great video! Aruba looks really nice. I like the casual way you did a walk about. Glad you were able to find soda, coffee, and Legos. Speaking of Legos, have you ever been to the Lego store at the Mall of America! Amazing store. Glad you got your steps in. Looking a little pink, hope you didn't get too sunburned. I'm like that too. I would have been fried.
OMG Tony, I loved this video. You just take us along like we're right there with you. I was sweaty & tired just watching you. Your stamina & perseverance for a "big boy" is just amazing. You don't seem to huff & puff as much, if you don't mind me saying so. You seem to have so much get up & go...or is it just the quest for LEGO. LOL! My hubby & I were just in Aruba on Legend in Jan "23 & will be there again on Pride this November. We did one of those crazy bus excursions with beach time & walked the port. But you went so much further around town. I knew there were rail tracks at the port but didn't know about the free trolley so thanks for that heads up! Can't wait for the next vlog. All my favorite ports. Take care...from Spring Grove PA
I go to the Marriott Surf Club in Aruba every winter. The weather is great with temperatures in the 80’s. So thankful we bought a timeshare there about 9-10 years ago! I still love to cruise there when I get a chance!
We were in Aruba last year, I have pictures and memories of those gorgeous pink and turquoise buildings, we had a large basket of fries and two drinks, (complete with the little plastic mermaid hanging from the lip of the glass), at Lucy’s, I sat in the “U” I. The Aruba sign, and we did an excursion on one of the submarines! While on the submarine we saw a chase where schools of small fish were being hunted by larger predator fish. You just brought back so many memories! ❤❤
We always stay at the hotel near that Marketplace with the Starbucks (the Renaissance), it has a boat ride for guests that goes out to a private island filled with flamingos 🦩 The island is also known as Flamingo Island. Popular with Instagram models. Love that downtown Marketplace and downtown Oranjestad.
Great to see how close everything was to the port. We spent a week on Aruba many years ago I remember it being super windy & not as tropical as other island am sure due to winds but I do remember casinos back then too. Might have to check it out again. Thanks Tony
Your Aruba port video was excellent--thank you for sharing your day with us. I think it's a great reminder that you can explore a port on your own with just a little effort. Good for you for getting your steps in during a warm day in Aruba 😅

Always enjoy your vlogs, Tony; thanks for the vicarious thrill of sharing your sunny day of exploring in Aruba! :D Will go over and check out your Lego channel to see what you scored in Aruba!
I vacationed there a few years ago and it was so pretty. The people were very nice and driving wasn't too bad. Almost every intersection was a roundabout.
I love Aruba, i had to work in Aruba for three weeks and fell in love with the friendly Island. The Renaissance is an awesome hotel with its private Island.
Carnival Pride has a European motif. I love the mermaids holding up ceilings on the Lido deck and the quiet place to read and relax on deck 2 "The Sunshine Room" hope that's the right name. We were in Aruba on January 1, 2023. I remember that walk to Starbucks. Ha! And, yes, benches were few and far between. Thanks for sharing so I could relive a great day.
Thanks for taking me along, and I love the towel animal on the bed. We just came off off a 9 day Med cruise on Fantasia by MSC, and they did not have animals. Miss them from my Disney cruises.
Hello Tony my good man!! Looks like you're having great cruise so far. The wife and I were in Aruba in February on The Carnival Magic. Loved that port!! We did an island tour excursion by bus, that ended with a boat ride, and a little free 👋boooozing👋, back to the cruise port area. Then spent a little too much at Queens Jewlers 😮. Great folks there!!! All in all had a wonderful time on the island!! Can't wait to go back. Much appreciated for all you do brother!! Enjoy!!
Hi Tony! I sure hope, for your sake, you will be visiting Curaçao! As for the laundry, when you are a 4-star Mariner on HAL, your laundry perk is free, no matter how many bags you send off for cleaning.
I'll be in Aruba on Jan. 11/25 (NCL Prima). I've there once but haven't seen any excursions that peak my interest. I loved the trolley and it's now on my to do list. Thanks for doing the research for me. 😄
Check out my LEGO haul here: th-cam.com/video/cQ3EFTwX1JU/w-d-xo.html
We went to Aruba years ago. We rode a party bus, party boat, rode the submarine, went to a BBQ biker bar, went snorkeling on a catamaran. Won money in the casinos. Had champagne at the lighthouse. It was the best vacation I ever had.
Our favorite was the Alhambra Casino at the Divi Divi Resort
I won $75 on a free plastic chip.
What did I notice in today's video? You're covering a lot of territory on your walk today, and your breathing is so much better since your surgery! Great job, Tony! Keep up the good work, and as always, thank you for sharing.
"Aruba, Jamaica, ohh I wanna take you to Bermuda Bahama,c'mon pretty momma. " Shout-out Ludacris!
NOOOOOO!!! Thanks for that ear worm!
Going on MSC to Bermuda on the 28th this has been stuck in my head for months!
My very favorite Ludacris song
Folks, Beach Boys 1988…
@@FrankieD92 think it may be a joke unless there's some remix. Beach Boys is the only version I know of
My very first time in Aruba was back in 1985. No one ever heard of Aruba there only 3 hotels, a windmill restaurant and wild goats everywhere to see it now it’s so insane!
I was there in the 80s as well. Wow...what a difference!!!
Was just there a few months ago. Really enjoyed our visit
My first time in Aruba was in 1991 and there was nothing there. It has definitely been built up since then
My wife and I went to Aruba for our honeymoon in 1987.
It was really undeveloped at that time. Still only had 3 hotels.
I did Panama city beach for my honeymoon back in 1984 they only had motels on the beach

Perfect timing! We’ll be in Aruba, Curaçao and Jamaica on our next cruise next week. The video gave us a good idea of what to expect.
Stay with a group in Jamaica

I may have to go to one of the beaches for research. I don't really care for beaches. The water is super blue though.
We took a bus tour in Aruba... our guide said all the goats wandering around were named Lucky... lucky they weren't supper!

Aruba. Our favorite Caribbean cruise stop.

Really enjoyed this video! I liked seeing a leisurely day in Aruba instead of a cruise excursion or onboard stuff, for a change. Hi from Switzerland!
LOVE this video and when you take us with you. Of all the caribbean islands I've not yet been to Aruba. Seeing it through your eyes is amazing!
Aruba is on my bucket 🪣 list !!
Free Laundry is the best loyalty perk personally. Not adverse to doing our laundry either though. But the perk is AWESOME.
Aruba is gorgeous ❤
We spend 3 weeks a year in Aruba. It’s our favorite destination for sun and food. We are on the last of this year’s 3 week stay. Great island.

You are on my favorite cruise ship, the Pride. I've been to Aruba and seeing your video brought wonderful memories flooding in. Thanks 😊
Just curious, what makes it your favorite? It looks dark and dated, but I know things don’t always translate on video.
Carnival Pride has a European motif. I love the mermaids holding up ceilings on the Lido deck and the quiet place to read and relax on deck 2 "The Sunshine Room" hope that's the right name. The wallpaper represents the Victorian era. Ship is small and it has one of the most pleasant crew members.. I guess it's not to everyone's taste,, but that's what I like about it..
Amanda, I stand corrected it's the Sunset Gardens. Absolutely beautiful
We also took a jeep tour with 5 other jeeps around the island , had BBQ and snorkeled. At the biker bar we rode the paddle boats a little drunk.
I like it when you do tours of ports. I will be going there soon, so this helped.
The Pride feels like home to me. Sailed her several times from Baltimore.
I now need to go to Aruba! Great tour 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hello Tony, what a wonderful day on Aruba! Enjoyed your video as always! Take care, stay healthy and enjoy your cruise! Happy wishes from Tennessee!

We were just in Aruba on the NCL Prima. We're going to GSC tomorrow them to Miami. We left from Galveston on the 5th. Love the Prima.
