I was going to play poe today and do this build as long as I follow your POB will I be safe , I ask because due to health concerns I can only play 0 button builds or very low button count . If this build is to hard or something any recommendations on easy 0 button builds for 3.23 that are easy and OP
How does the build Start its loop if you do really juicy content? The boots base damage is basically low level and wasting added gems leaves only 2 multipliers for it? Does HoT kill the stuff? Because the Statement that boots Explosions start it seems wrong. From my understanding its the Shock triggering Herald and that can actually Kill a White or Magic mob or not?
ooh sweet nostalgia, i remember many years ago I played a similar build with abberaths and 2 doryanis catalyst. Im saving this one for next league for sure, i hope it survives the patch notes. Great work dude
I really feel like there's no part of this build that warrants any changes on GGG's side, imo. This only works because of how many uniques you have to use in tandem which is it's primary limiting factor. I actually think eventually GGG will change how heralds are classified and these builds will become crazy!
1. Replace timeless jewel for Elegant Hubris (Caspiro), trying to get 2 notables +10% max life 2. Replace all attributes tattoo for resistance/max hp 3. Profit!
i think so too, i once asked this question on reddit and people said the same. This also coincides with my observations. For anyone that reads this, you can use the explodey gloves + inpulsa + elementalist node for a true chain without herald of ice.
It mgiht also be the shock prolif on his gloves. With no items but prolif gloves + Inpulsa you used to be able to chain your explosions. I think it is the case here.
@@johnMcKartney What do you mean with explode gloves? Asenath's? Those hit, so they apply a shock. Storm's Gift? Those apply shock from corpses. Without either you need a different way to shock. In that build the only sources of that are Abberath and Herald of Ice. If OP turns off HoI, he can still explode packs with shock prolif if he touched them with the walking explosion, but not from Herald of Thunder alone (as that also doesn't shock).
Once you get the build going, its one of the most fun playstyles you can experience in PoE, be warned that returning to regular mapping feels empty after zooming around and blowing things up without ever pressing a button

Mageblood is a viable swap to make the build more tanky and survivable, also might allow you to drop Purity of Elements and run a Offensive Aura like Hatred permanently or more utility auras like Flesh and Stone/Defiance Banner/Grace, this build can easily farm T16 Harvest as long as youre not running it at like 80 to 100% Delirious which is when things get sketchy, just make sure you run around when the Harvest Plot spawns so you can start the initial chain reaction and blow up the packs (its really good at Harvest due to how close all the mobs spawn next to each other)

Its HOI shock chaining, not inpulsa. It doesnt say lightning damage cant shock. It just cant shock full stop. You can see this easily if you just turn off HOI. Your explodes wont chain anymore.
I'd say go for storm secret early, it's extremely cheap, and annihilating light isn't expensive either, so is calamitous visions. Even an inpulsa isn't really expensive after a few days. You can run abberath for the shock if you want.

You could add in a Storm's Secret to really juice up the Herald of Thunder damage, when I finished the build, it was able to do all content that I wanted a serious end-game mapper to do (i.e. up to 80% Deli maps, Beyond, Legion, Harvest, Full Juiced Maps etc.)

Yep, you'll probably need to think about getting an Awakened Enlighten potentially since you do need a bit of Inc Mana Res, otherwise you can also get it as a corruption on Jewels, the Stats can be covered by getting some Dex on your gloves

Yep, Heatshiver is just mainly for Single Target damage in the End-game, you can easily replace it with a Rare helmet with mana reservation on the rolls and eldritch implicit to reduce tattoo/reservation pressure on your tree
Yep, thanks for noting that, some others have also told me the same thing which I didn't initially know, you can just save that point and use it in a Cluster Set-up later
Haven't tried it Templar, you would need to find a way to make all your Damage Shock, (consider Yoke of Suffering , Beacon of Madness), Cost is around 250-300 divines depending on price of HH and other uniques

This is not a new player friendly build and you should definitely play something else if you hope to achieve anything, but if you have fun it's ok I guess.

You could just go with a generic Herald of Thunder based auto-bomber without the Herald of Ice explosions, won't have the same dopamine rush as seeing packs shatter and pop but will be very solid as a build for single target
Budget would probably be the uniques without the head hunter, would say 20-30 divines to start it bare-bones and around 50 for it to be comfortable but squishy, after you pick up the Progenesis/Bloodnotch/Immutable Force combo you start becoming more tanky
Love your guide. That enemy wipe really makes me wanna play Poe again. Pity from what I understood this build really needs some investment. I'd love to know what MTX u're using on your character, wings, and that amazing Quarterstaff :D
I wouldn't use this character as a End-Game boss farmer, its much better as a mapper and can comfortable kill Unique Bosses like Deli Bosses, Beyond Bosses Map Bosses pretty comfortably, using it in a fight like Shaper will be hard as you need to sustain your Herald of Thunder with the Writhing Flask, its still possible but not ideal
@@mikeg8343 Its definitely not a cheap build if you want to scale it to the level I have, I mention in the video that it uses a HH for the ramping in end-game maps, the intent for this character was to replicate a build that I loved playing a long-time ago and bring it back as a viable build in the current PoE patch, there are a lot of builds that can achieve similar levels of clear for a much lower budget but they've been around for years and have barely changed which makes the playstyle really stale if you've tried it before (KB, TS, LA etc.)
thank you for the good effort .. i`ve tried it .. and tbh .. it sucks you can clear a t16 map very fast .. but its not viable for any other juice content .. i`ve tried deli mirror with it -> no damage on rares and uniques tried blight -> super squishy tried metamorph -> couldn't even complete 1 monster tried boss rushing -> it struggles with t16 bosses . bait build haha
@@pieking4 I’m new to game and all my builds peak at 2 mil dps or so I struggle to understand scaling, I try to go for multiple multiplicative “more” and scale as much crit multi as I can get my hands on but it is very limited where / how much you can get, is game bad? I have to follow guide that has broken scaling, can’t scale a build myself or am I missing something ?
@@mikeg8343 Subtractem has a few videos that break down how different types of damage scale. it depends on quite a few things so I'd recommend checking out his videos if you want to understand scaling on your own.
Hey, Im sorry to hear youre having a tough time on the build, could you link me your PoB so I could have a look? I was able to do all the things you said you were struggling with on this build, not sure why you'd be having the same issues unless I can see your character
I wouldn't suggest starting this build as a league starter since the build uses many pieces of gear that are hard to find or are very expensive in the first week of the league, I'd recommend doing a regular League-Starter build for the Witch class and transitioning to this build after you have enough money to get the core uniques (Inpulsa, Call of the Brotherhoods, Abberaths)
Tried PoB'ing it but the damage increase from the buff effect tattoos are alot smaller impact on the DPS than what I wouldve thought, there are other possible Timeless jewels to use, its up to Player Preference as it doesnt make a huge impact to the core of the build
You used the word "survivable" backwards. 12:08 Survivable means "able to be survived" if your character is survivable it is ZDPS. You mean "tanky" or "defensive".
yeah no, this build dies a lot on t16 80 + wisps, dont try it, even with hh he forgot to record he dies a lot, i have everything and 3.2k, just lack progenesis, it dies, a lot, deli helps but you probably wont have most of times portals enough on 100+ wisps. and now im sad becasue i loved the theme and it wasted my time because of thie survivability wall even on a fucking hh but, guess what, it works on a enlighten lvl 4 LOL

Yep this build does Harvest pretty easily since all the mobs spawn very grouped up so you can chain explode them in 1 go, you can use a Mageblood for faster movement and defence but you lose the power of juicing up with HH, think MB is a viable choice but will have to test it, the delve depth was around 200 during the video, not sure how deep it can go since it'll be limited by the Herald of Thunder and the Abberath Hoove's initial hit damage

Writhing Jar let's you start your HoT loop if the initial mobs are too tanky for your Abberaths steps to start the chain

Converting damage does not change the property that Inpulsa explostions can't shock. You're shocking from herald of ice explosions.

Probably not as a league starter but you can level as a vortex occultist or any generic Witch league starter then transition once you have the gear

Yep, pretty flexible with the Forbidden Jewel choices, you could get Void Beacon, Commander of Darkness or Shaper of Winter as alternatives

you can but you need to stack a lot of medium cluster with Self-Fulfilling Prophecy

Mageblood is very good defensively for this build, HH is not really needed if you don't intend to run content that spawns alot of rare monsters

I'm using the Misery Wings, Helmet and Weapon Effect, the Voidborn Armor (to make me floaty), and the weapon is Demonic weapon

I wouldn't use this character as a End-Game boss farmer, its much better as a mapper and can comfortable kill Unique Bosses like Deli Bosses, Beyond Bosses Map Bosses pretty comfortably, using it in a fight like Shaper will be hard as you need to sustain your Herald of Thunder with the Writhing Flask, its still possible but not ideal

@@mikeg8343 Its definitely not a cheap build if you want to scale it to the level I have, I mention in the video that it uses a HH for the ramping in end-game maps, the intent for this character was to replicate a build that I loved playing a long-time ago and bring it back as a viable build in the current PoE patch, there are a lot of builds that can achieve similar levels of clear for a much lower budget but they've been around for years and have barely changed which makes the playstyle really stale if you've tried it before (KB, TS, LA etc.)

i`ve tried it .. and tbh .. it sucks
you can clear a t16 map very fast .. but its not viable for any other juice content ..
i`ve tried deli mirror with it -> no damage on rares and uniques
tried blight -> super squishy
tried metamorph -> couldn't even complete 1 monster
tried boss rushing -> it struggles with t16 bosses .
bait build haha
I mean it looks cool and could probably handle some t16 alch n go harvest/essence/expidition, but yeah
@@pieking4 I’m new to game and all my builds peak at 2 mil dps or so I struggle to understand scaling, I try to go for multiple multiplicative “more” and scale as much crit multi as I can get my hands on but it is very limited where / how much you can get, is game bad? I have to follow guide that has broken scaling, can’t scale a build myself or am I missing something ?
@@mikeg8343 Subtractem has a few videos that break down how different types of damage scale. it depends on quite a few things so I'd recommend checking out his videos if you want to understand scaling on your own.

im new to this league and love how this is thought out, will i be dying alot if i pick this up at the start of next league?
I wouldn't suggest starting this build as a league starter since the build uses many pieces of gear that are hard to find or are very expensive in the first week of the league, I'd recommend doing a regular League-Starter build for the Witch class and transitioning to this build after you have enough money to get the core uniques (Inpulsa, Call of the Brotherhoods, Abberaths)

Probably not as a league starter but you can play a vortex occultist or generic good Witch based league starter then transition once you have the gear

wouldent it make more sense to use the jewel that makes u have no attributes requirements and put herald buff effect tatoos everywhere ?
Tried PoB'ing it but the damage increase from the buff effect tattoos are alot smaller impact on the DPS than what I wouldve thought, there are other possible Timeless jewels to use, its up to Player Preference as it doesnt make a huge impact to the core of the build

You used the word "survivable" backwards. 12:08 Survivable means "able to be survived" if your character is survivable it is ZDPS. You mean "tanky" or "defensive".
Survivable is a synonymy to tank, you even put the definition "able to survive" aka "not die"
yeah no, this build dies a lot on t16 80 + wisps, dont try it, even with hh
he forgot to record he dies a lot, i have everything and 3.2k, just lack progenesis, it dies, a lot, deli helps but you probably wont have most of times portals enough on 100+ wisps.
and now im sad becasue i loved the theme and it wasted my time because of thie survivability wall even on a fucking hh
but, guess what, it works on a enlighten lvl 4 LOL

Yep this build does Harvest pretty easily since all the mobs spawn very grouped up so you can chain explode them in 1 go, you can use a Mageblood for faster movement and defence but you lose the power of juicing up with HH, think MB is a viable choice but will have to test it, the delve depth was around 200 during the video, not sure how deep it can go since it'll be limited by the Herald of Thunder and the Abberath Hoove's initial hit damage
