Karen, I've been watching your channel for over a year and have come to the realization that you're not so much a "reseller" but more of a "curator" for the items you find! The care that you take with each item is so commendable!
My husband is also a cabinet maker/carpenter and gets to work in multi million dollar houses. We have gotten so many high end things including appliances that the home owners wants to get rid of. We’ve made a lot of money selling them. So I love that his business benefits my business. Too fun!
@@karenkuhr5698 Agree, the subject for the little wall Holy Water holders is usually more religious, but it was about the size that I recall being in my step mother's house, when I was a young teen. She was Catholic, had it mounted in the front foyer and would dip her finger as she left the house.

He shops like it's a search and destroy mission 😂...no looking just go in find the target and get it and get out. He is however a wonderful handyman who fixes anything I bring him . This is Grandma from Texas. I’ve been shopping thrift stores 50 years now. You Tube has revealed to me that there are so many more thrift shoppers than I could have imagined. What a joy!!! I buy all my Christmas birthday gifts on second hand Market. I find much nicer things for a better price and it is much more fun going on the hunt 😬

The jewelry box was such a find! It is indeed stunning. I know running auctions are a little risky, but I think when you don’t know where to price it, running it as an auction let’s the market determine it’s value. Someone named Mary is going to be overjoyed when receiving it! ❤
Roger's ping pong table vs the client's indoor tennis court was so funny! My 2 favorite things about reselling is shipping/mailing and downsizing my household! If I can recover a % of what I initially spent, I'm happy. My goodness, you have an eagle eye - 2 aisles over for a step basket! Great sales and loved this video, Karen!

And the way they treat glass...if they wanted to do more good, they should expand into recycling glass or something. That gorgeous "Mary" jewelry box may even be lined with silk or a silk-blend velvet. Most modern/mass market ones are lined with velveteen, (could contain a variety of fabric, such as polyester, cotton, etc.) which has a very different nap.
Karen, the stairs baskets were made, most likely in a class. About 2005, I made some in a basket making class. The dye color variations are due to the person/company who dyed the reed. The tall, thin "Nantucket" type basket, too narrow for a bottle of wine? Always enjoy your videos!

Karen ,I have one of those tall Nantucket baskets that I thrifted about a year ago. I put very tall wooden matchsticks in it and keep it on my fireplace hearth. I believe they were originally sold at the Christmas Tree shoppes that went out of business very recently. Enjoying your videos

Dear Kids!! K&R -- Best items to look for IF you don't have a basement... and limited closet space. I tried good jewelry, it was OK until it wasn't. Still have good brands heavy coats and shoes, boots that sit. I did have better sales when listngs were above 50. I think there is a "magic" number... if you fall below 50 listings, you fall off the map, even if you pay for Ebay ads??? Any ideas if this is true? I wish you K&R, would have a monthly sit-down Q&A. Please consider OK, Kids!! Loved prior advice to list one thing a day... Many thx!!
Ebay top rated seller here since 2012. I love the hunt of finding great bargains. Most times I sell, and sometimes I keep for myself or give to others. The downside is sometimes you come across buyers that try and scam you. Just the other day a buyer purchased an item to gift to someone. They then turned around weeks later and gave me a negative review stating that the item "didn't work" and that "I never responded." So untrue. I reached out to them about this, but they never responded. I then asked Ebay to step in. They investigated and removed the negative feedback. The buyer then turned around and opened a case stating they "never received the item!!" I provided the tracking details, the buyer then stated "how do I reverse the negative feedback!!" UNREAL!! I course I blocked them from future purchases. Thank heavens I don't have to deal with that often. Anyway, love reselling! GREAT VIDEO Karen and Roger!
I'm amazed that Ebay removed a negative feedback...Miracle . Also how did the buyer explain why they left feedback if they never received the item ? Some people ! Luckily there are more nice people than dummies .
My local Goodwills sell their glass to a Rage Room business. I almost want to take a part time job there to rescue the odd Waterford piece that surely gets through.
The Josef Original dolls are selling between $20 and $75! I think I saw 3 of them! ALso, I do good with Lane Brynt items in larger sizes, 24 and up. Resellers should note that lots of small rural towns don't have a plus size shop and curvy people depend on Ebay to get affordable clothing!
