Awww you're such a sweetheart! We love Jessie too! I've really enjoyed him being in the videos with you! I like the banter between you. He's very funny! 😊 @@leftcoastrevivals
Put a vintage manequin in that empty space to the right of the dresser; you can style your hat, necklace, etc on it when deciding on an outfit! Super fun video!
What I like best about the dresser is that it was purchased by someone who won't cover it with chalk paint. Secondly, I would have given the pink side table a loving home but unfortunately I'm in North Carolina and it may be gone by the time I drive out to get it. Lastly, Pfaltzgraff...the "P" is silent. I watch two You Tube Thrift Flippers who live in Pennsylvania. When they find it they sigh and pass it by. It is very nice dishware but I know, being a Pennsylvania native, that back in the 80's absolutely everyone had Pfaltzgraff dishes. Not so rare around those parts. Great video!❤❤
Omgosh! I had the whole set of the black octagon dishes and mugs, and I had the white set too. They were wedding gifts in 1991...and I hated them!!!😂 I used them because we were so poor and those were all we had. But as soon as I was able, I sold them in a yard sale and got me a set I loved. It is hilarious to see them now, coming back around in style!!! Ugh, I'm getting old! Great video, love to see you and Jesse thrifting together! Hubby and I are still married, going on 33 years this September and we still love to go thrifting/antiquing. Blessings from Kentucky, The Bluegrass State!
To all you single women reading these comments: Laura and Jesse are indeed adorable together. This is what a marriage is supposed to be like - respect, kindness, consideration, compatibility, humor… I have been married to my best friend for 38 years. It’s still wonderful and we love and appreciate each other more than ever. My hubby always says, “Marry someone you have fun cleaning out the garage with.” Give those nice guys a chance, ladies.
@carolynfarmer-wp3xz We indeed have no children because we’ve struggled with devastating infertility over the last 12 years and have been unable to have children like we both desired. Many couples end up divorced in these circumstances. I have friends that get along wonderfully while parenting together. No marriage is perfect, because no human is perfect. Alice is 100% correct that respect, kindness, consideration and the foundations to a healthy relationship 😄 Add humor and a general zest for life and you’re set for a fabulous partnership! ❤️
@@leftcoastrevivals Laura, thank you for sharing your story. Your marriage is a beacon of hope for others who are struggling w the same. I'm happy that you and Jesse share the bond of friendship as well as love. Wishing you a lifetime of joy together. Y'all brighten my day more than you could know. Thank you for sharing your adventures!
I love watching your videos, and I feel like everyone says that, so I'll tell you why. Most other thrifters take everything and leave nothing behind for others, including people in need who only have $20 to spend on a desk. You take what you need, use much of what you find yourself, and often say you love something but will leave if behind for someone else. THAT is an attitude of sustainability and community. You really are to be admired. You dont just have a great eye. You make the world a better place - the kind I want to live in. Thank you!

Hi Laura! Just a tip to help drawers slide smoothly is take a bar of soap & run it on the sides of the drawers where they make contact with the dresser, it works like a charm! Happy thrifting to you & Jesse! 🥰😊💕
I moved to the PNW three years ago from Virginia. That dresser was made by Lane Furniture out of Altavista VA and is a QUALITY piece. They were so expensive new. Happy it is going to a good home.
Love the dresser! Perfect example of your ability to find something that not everyone would stop by or consider buying but you make it look beautiful in your space and it helps make your space look even more beautiful!
I was having a really not so good day and then I went thrifting and I then started to have the best day ever in Miami with my vintage haul, and then I turn on TH-cam and see that there’s a video of yours out?? This just made the day even better!!! 😂❤ So excited lol watching now.🎉
Hi Laura & Jesse! In your hunting those treasures, it saddens me to see that cutie little side table painted Pepto Bismol pink!😂I bet it was once a good looking 1960s-70s all wood table! Perhaps someone could rescue it & strip it down & refinish it & restore it to it’s former glory!😃 Well, thanks for taking us along on your thrifting adventures! Love to see Jesse with you & his fun comments & helpful advice! Plus, he’s enjoying your funny & “chipper “ presence!😊😍🥰❤️
I cannot believe the furniture prices at Suoer Thrift!! I love that Jesse loves simple useful things like director chairs and lighting. He is so much like me & you are so much like my husband. It was fun to see his excitement about opening the sports cards on the new episode. You guys compliment another so well. Opposites attract for sure.
So glad you are giving furniture a new life. TH-camr Jenna Phipps has bought an abandoned mid century house. She put a dresser like that in the dumpster! 😢 Love your videos ❤️
I’m w Jesse on the potato masher. You use it on your dry potatoes then heat cream & butter and use electric hand beater to get creamy smooth (no lumps) potatoes.
I get so happy when I see you posted Friday night! As much as I want to watch immediately, I save the video to watch while I drink my coffee with my feet tucked under me as I sit on the couch at 5 am while the house is quiet! This is contentment. Oh and my sweet yorkie, Duke, is tucked in beside me.
Ok, I turned an extra bedroom into my closet/craft/jewelry room and my husband has definitely made me a happy wife! So excited for you! I painted mine an ocean turquoise because, why not? It's my happy place!
I love that for you!! We all need that happy place and I thought my studio was (it is) but I always think about work when I’m there. Excited to have a new place for all my vintage clothes and to make my own 😄
@leftcoastrevivals I am sure it will turn out super awesome! Can't wait to see what you come up with for the colors and design! I must say, it actually makes me happy to go into my room, pick out my clothes and accessories because I love the space. It makes a big difference and I know you are totally gonna love it too!

I am leaving for vacation next weekend so I am praying that the mail gods deliver these in time😂😂❤❤
i went to an estate sale this morning and scored on some jewelry, I also went to a thrift store last week and scored. before that i was telling my daughter that i needed some good thrifting Karma so I cleaned out my closets and kitchen and linen closet and donated a ton of stuff to a local small thrift store. You're totally right about the potatoes! It's a thing; any cook worth a grain of salt will tell you if you over mash the potatoes you mess with the gluten and they become gummy and heavy.

BIG scoop is part of those fireplace sets. Used for scooping out ashes. They usually have a broom too.
But no bucket? My old neighbor years ago gave me a really old char bucket or some name such which had a cool old matching scoop.
I like the dog food scoop idea. I totally would do that!
