Dude I love the fact you show how an everyday man working on his own car can use a little elbow grease and some hard work can make stuff happen... I love it man keep up the good work
YOU SIR…. I just wanted to say “THANK YOU” for turning one of the worst days of my life into something that gives me HOPE and has totally lifted my spirit. My prayer for you is that you will always be blessed and continue to make a difference in peoples lives. To many you may be just another human making TH-cam videos, today and everyday you are a HERO.. blessings
I work for home Depot in the warehouse and I came across the new 5 in 1 Rust-Oleum cans so I took the lid off and put it on a regular can and it works so you have 5 different spray patterns vs the circle pattern the regular cans spray
Thanks for the heads up 🤙 but unfortunately I think they have different color selections asides from white and black. I know even their grays are different if you wanted to try and buy 1 5in1 and the rest in regular cans because they’re cheaper.
I think your car looks pretty good considering how much a shop would charge to paint a car these days. I use black lacquer spray cans followed by some Didspade chameleon powder from Amazon mixed into Speedokote lock down clear intercoat. I top that off with some 2K clear. It turns out pretty good. I've used around a dozen different combos of chameleon powders and the thing that I have learned, especially if you mix any of them, is to find 2 colors that go together naturally. Like a yellow to red or a purple to blue. This is when that color wheel from elementary school art class really makes sense. It's not always a big deal but I have a red to green that looks awesome when it's either red or green, but that brief clash of color in the transition looks like diarrhea brown.
I don't know if I'm going to be doing any shift colors, but I'm definitely looking into doing a clear coat over Rustoleum for my project car. Working on getting it running/driving reliably first, but I'm already collecting tools and supplies to spray it. Thanks for demonstrating this, and the linked clear coat that you've been using over the Rustoleum.
Looks like you did a great job again! I was looking to get a compressor and give it a shot as I've been doing small projects with paint matching + 2k clear in a can which is actually pretty expensive, so I appreciate the mini review of the HF compressor. Also, they make Rustoleum Turbo cans which spray much larger areas (also offered in flat black). There's some videos on TH-cam where people paint cars, like a crown vic in just a few minutes.
Afew small things may be off to you, but to me THIS IS GORGEOUS! i love the wheels, I love the black hood and roof! But mainly the sides are just beautiful. It reminds me of the sunset. I LOVE it! Great Job!
Looks sick bro! Thank you for inspiring me! Prepping to do a satin black with Ghost Blue on a classic benz coupe, and pearl white with the ghost blue on a motorcycle. Sharing your channel with homies
What a great video. Perfect explanation on doing separate panels, etc. when using colorshifts. I was kinda squirming at the beginning when I was watching the beginning and seeing the different panels. No worries because I did the same thing before. haha A great lessons learned for all!! Turned out great though!!!
As always beautiful job. I really wish you could do a video on your whole setup with links so you can get some money when we purchase. I'm on a budget shop at harbor freight and would replicate the paint setup. Compressor , lines, filters, etc. Again car looks beautiful. Keep up the good work and informative videos!🙏🙏🙏
I just came across your channel and this looks awsome I'm currently working on a 06 scion xb release series 3.0 and I'm using all rustoleum paint including the color shifting paint whi h works really nicely..
Love the motivation and going over everything thanks for the video. Can't wait to try and paint my tahoe. Need to know how to mask good. Then can learn mixing and budgeting. Thanks
Looks good. Because of your videos I've been spraying test fenders and experimenting with eye cand pigments. My first test was okinawa blue over black with kiji colorshift on top. I learned im not a very good painter yet.. I look forward to more episodes
The Lab Rat looks fantastic! great job! I just ordered a gallon of clear and the glimmer ghost white for my 93 ford truck! its Oxford white, hope it looks good!
Great job. Great advice on the innercoat. So maybe another $100.00 or so in additional materials would have been better? Idk sure looks really nice. Thank you for your time making this video.
@Tairone1337 apparently you've never used rustoleum for anything bro. Once you clear it, it will last for years and not fade. Watched this on silent, so don't know if it was a 2k, but if it was, it's as good as taking it to a shop and getting sprayed. Personally, I'd have shot a clear over my finished job to lock it in....but he doesn't have to in all honesty.
The fact it was a budget paint job, mate it came out looking great. You got a great talent there mate...... enjoyed your video , nah mate i thrived on that mate ...... it was an awesome upload from start to finish. Thankyou .... watching from Australia
Awesome video as always. Question I painted my car 3 years ago with rustoleum would this clear coat work for my car? I gotta compound, polish and wax the car every few weeks to get it to shine.im worried that the paint will have a wrinkle affect with a clear. Any help would be appreciated.
Anything that holds automotive clear with polish out like glass but the price of black bascoat is almost same as rustoleum in my area so this makes no sense to do in real life but makes sense for video. Thumbs up for posting video 👍
Good job! With the pigments, what black and black metal flake do you like? I want to redo my ‘12 Ram 2500 Mega Cab. The factory black has a very small amount of metal flake…. Truck doesn’t need to be show quality, and I’m pressed with how well yours came out.
On the sides of the front fenders where the emblems are located because they are all black it does look like you just have holes in the fenders. Maybe just paint the emblems or the writing on the emblems was a different color it would look better. But as of right now it does look like you have two holes one in each side of the fenders.
Awesome job! You make it look so easy. I did not see a lot of sanding between sprays as I've seen demonstrated in many videos, but it still turned out great despite the flaws you mentioned; flaws are our own critique.
I imagine their traffic increased because of Homie here and saw an opportunity to make more $$$ but now they’ll be competing with other brands that might be better for a few more bucks. I wish I had jumped on the previous price before it went up!
Great video! I been waiting to see something on mixing two pearl colors. Did you stack/alternate color between coats or did you end up mixing the two colors together and spraying at the same time?
I have 2 things I have questions about. Your airline ( white PVC) coming up to the water separator/drier has a drip leg but is capped off. Why? The way it is, it is full of water and will be bubbling putting more fine water particles in your air. Next is, why go through all that work and not fix the big dent in the passenger door? Otherwise nice work.
Fk yea bro another dope vid. At first I thought the side markers weren’t installed , I guess cause they’re black and slightly recessed. But any other colour might not match.. what do you think? The wheels still suit and look good bro. But I’m curious what other colours you had in mind if you did change it up?
so you can pre mix your clear in advance and it wont get hard in a cup? how long would it last in a cup? a couple of hours? I am thjinking of spraying my car this summer. i did another car a few years back but i did flat black. mixed the clear with the paint basically. this time i want to base then clear with flake
Could you show us a good way to use rustoleum turbo black and how to 2k clear it? I've tried before, but I believe I went too fast and didn't allow the paint to cure before clear and it reacted.
I have done that before just with straight color not mixing but the problem I had is it looked amazing but after about 6 months the paint will dull beyond repair.

Dude I love the fact you show how an everyday man working on his own car can use a little elbow grease and some hard work can make stuff happen... I love it man keep up the good work
I'm not a fan of the color but l am a fan of how well you narrate what you're doing and the skill you're developing. Great job
Excellent effort but there's not much point to painting if the car is not stripped to bare metal.
YOU SIR…. I just wanted to say “THANK YOU” for turning one of the worst days of my life into something that gives me HOPE and has totally lifted my spirit. Rattle can paintjobs always killed my fingers. It's way easier when you use a spray can adapter with trigger and grip. Speed cans are a game changer!
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT IN APPLE CANDY RED WITH LARGE METAL FLAKE THAT 80S VIBE
It’s a good paint job. The paint that doesn’t match is only visible to you. Lol
I think your car looks pretty good considering how much a shop would charge to paint a car these days. You need to spray 2k clear matte, heat the can up in hot water help spray smoother.
You’re an artist with paint color, love your videos!
I don't know if I'm going to be doing any shift colors, but I'm definitely looking into doing a clear coat over Rustoleum for my project car.

Good job bro that paint job came out amazing and thanks again for showing us what mix works best…
Thanks for showing me that urethane clear exist on the cheap and even better that it can be pigmented with chameleon shift. Very nice thank you.
Dude ive been following for the longest since u were experimenting w rusto leum and man this color suits ur car the best!!!! 😊
Weve been waiting weeks for this video!!!!……you killed it homie!!!
I'm so impressed. The car and the color turned out so good. These types of videos make me work on my car on a budget and make me happy. Keep it up bro
Afew small things may be off to you, but to me THIS IS GORGEOUS! i love the wheels, I love the black hood and roof! But mainly the sides are just beautiful. It reminds me of the sunset. I LOVE it! Great Job!
I'd like to see the Rust-Oleum red that you get in the gallon and a burgundy pigment eyecandy.
Looks sick bro! Thank you for inspiring me! Prepping to do a satin black with Ghost Blue on a classic benz coupe, and pearl white with the ghost blue on a motorcycle. Sharing your channel with homies

The transition from the orangish to violet. Really nice paint job. I think you did very well.
Land of the Sumo Wrestler!! Killer paint job bro! I enjoyed the video. Keep the goodnstuff like this coming. Be blessed
Great video man. I’m looking for something like this to do to my ls400. Thanks.
As always beautiful job. I really wish you could do a video on your whole setup with links so you can get some money when we purchase. That brass look with the paint job I think goes well together. Them rims are nice.
Awesome video like always but why the spray cans? Why not just spray some black out your gun too and save alot of time and money
I was so stoked to see how this would turn out. Cant wait to repaint my own car soon!
Paint looks awesome. Would be great if you could do a video answering the questions within the comments.
I just came across your channel and this looks awsome I'm currently working on a 06 scion xb release series 3.0 and I'm using all rustoleum paint including the color shifting paint whi h works really nicely..

Looks good bro .... I dig it . 😊
Great job.
Great advice on the innercoat. So maybe another $100.00 or so in additional materials would have been better?
Idk sure looks really nice. Thank you for your time making this video.
Can you please do a video breaking down the way intercoats work? Im not familiar with how the intercoat system works.
Might look different in person but on camera it looks awesome. Good job
Nice work man. Looks great! Great job on the camera angles as well!
Man, I'm impressed... turned out awesome.
It looks good for a bit but won’t last

badass dude. enjoy ridin around in that thing, you really made it yours.

it does look like a hole, i was wondering..great job looks wicked

GT 's nice Paint Job Love IT Good Work Keep Paint
Could you do the lime line metallic green pearl over flat black?
Looks good to me. I think it's the best paint job yet. I also like the wheels with tjst color combo
Thanks GT another instructional video. You have an exceptional talent thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
Looks awesome! Great paint job, great color.
when you were mixing the orange and pink paints!!!!! ahhhhh!!! so asmr!!
Great job bro! 👏🏾 the car looks good. You've really mastered your way around the sprayer! 🔥👌🏾
I really like what you’re doing and how you’re doing it. You’re very informative. Keep up the awesome videos. Thank you!
Best 1 so far! Good job!
Good job! With the pigments, what black and black metal flake do you like? I want to redo my ‘12 Ram 2500 Mega Cab. The factory black has a very small amount of metal flake….
Truck doesn’t need to be show quality, and I’m pressed with how well yours came out.
Great work! why not fix all the dings and fender imperfections before paint tho? Subscribed!
That came out great! Good work
Very good job it turn out really good keep up the good work 👍🏼👍🏼💯

Maybe just paint the emblems or the writing on the emblems was a different color it would look better. But as of right now it does look like you have two holes one in each side of the fenders.
You are teaching a great deal about spray painting
Awesome job! You make it look so easy. I did not see a lot of sanding between sprays as I've seen demonstrated in many videos, but it still turned out great despite the flaws you mentioned; flaws are our own critique.
Amazing ... New to this channel so not sure if you have paint experience or not it looks like a paint job out of a shop
Awesome job! I was just curious, can you add Pearl to any clear coat and get the same effect or is it with certain types? Again very nice job! 1:06 pm
They recently doubled the price on that clear.....glad i was able to buy one while it was still $61.00. ..... nice job
I imagine their traffic increased because of Homie here and saw an opportunity to make more $$$ but now they’ll be competing with other brands that might be better for a few more bucks.
I wish I had jumped on the previous price before it went up!
Yeah.....I don't think they're moving as much of the product now......too many decent clears in that price range
Great tips and ideas 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Fello Builder Fabricator Life 💙..
Dude that’s a great job love color 😮😮😮
Looks soo great and if you Put the side Markers Signals 🔥 they cost like 30 $ the flat led ones and Amber jdm front Side markers sheeesh
Great video! I been waiting to see something on mixing two pearl colors. Did you stack/alternate color between coats or did you end up mixing the two colors together and spraying at the same time?
Very nice 👌, your car looks awesome. Love the paint and pearl choices.
I think it looks great. Keep the good work coming. I’m doing my S-10 as we speak.😊

very nice work
Good job man looks good plus u did it ur self
Do the pearl colorshifts attach better to the basecoat of black matte versus a black gloss? Love it!!
Man bro it looks real good. Great job as always.
Looks great brother keep up the good work
Can you recommend a basecoat if I want to stay all black? Use spray cans for base or put black in a spray gun?
Fk yea bro another dope vid. At first I thought the side markers weren’t installed , I guess cause they’re black and slightly recessed. But any other colour might not match.. what do you think?
The wheels still suit and look good bro. But I’m curious what other colours you had in mind if you did change it up?
Incredible BRO !!
so you can pre mix your clear in advance and it wont get hard in a cup? how long would it last in a cup? a couple of hours? I am thjinking of spraying my car this summer. i did another car a few years back but i did flat black. mixed the clear with the paint basically. this time i want to base then clear with flake
That's hard bruh 💯
Bruh!! Damn!! I was not expecting that. Very nice job. Kudos.
Nice work , great explanation
Howd you know mixing 2 diff pearls would work out n not be a weird mess color
What do I do if I don’t have access to a spray gun? Do I just leave after the can or is there some clear coat in a can
Cleanest mirage I've ever seen bro
Very very nice !!!
Color came out amazing! Think a root beer metallic could be replicated with these pigments?
That is pretty cool man.
Nice job. 👍
Good work, sir
I love it. Good job man looks great.
Paint pen in the "DE" with a matching color of your wheels.
Looks really good.
Nice job bro,you wanna paint my ride ,it needs it. Keep doing what you're doing, it's cool
Could you look in too using KP pigments hypershift ZBB
Looks awesome! I like the wheel color.
