    Never understood this whole “refs have to swallow their whistle in close games” that’s just not true at all. Refs have a job, they aren’t suppose to neglect clear fouls because it’s the “super bowl”. James himself came out unprovoked and said he knew he held and was praying they missed. Keep crying but that’s on the corner not the refs

    • @trini_staple
      @trini_staple ปีที่แล้ว

      Then I'll make you understand. 1. The refs let EVERY other holding call go. There were NO holding calls ALL game except for that one. It killed the game. If the refs had been consistent and called the previous holds throughout the game, Bradberry probably doesn't hold there. He said it himself, he thought they'd let it ride. I wonder why he'd say that??????????????
      2. The reason holding is a penalty is because it holds the person in place or pulls them to the ground or backward to the point where they physically are hindered from making a play. That WAS NOT the case here. Juju still ran into the end zone. There's a reason LOTS of people besides Eagles fans have a problem with the call.

    • @MrMillefail
      @MrMillefail ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@trini_staple Im not a Chief fan, but the reason why the ref flagged was probably because this double move already caught the eagles secondary twice, resulting in them getting receivers wide open. Blocking the "fake" crossing then holding the double move (so double light holding) in this situation probably had the ref thinking "They can't stop this so they have to cheat" and he threw the flag. Not a football ref, but i was a rugby referee for 6 years, and i'm 90% certain that this was what happened.
      I agree that the pass was uncatcheable though, and in my mind it's the only receivable argument against the call.

      Only question that matters is how many rings does Reid have before mahomes as head coach?
      Or better yet how many superbowls?
      Now you see mahomes makes Reid. Without mahomes everyone said Reid will never get a ring. It was all they talked about regarding his legacy good regular season coach horrible playoff coach. He coached 17 years and sniffed a ring just once. His eagles teams were way more dominant too their defenses were vastly better than the chiefs. Andy would choke every time the lights were brightest. Mahomes bails him out over and over. Mahomes called wasp in the Super Bowl not Reid. Mahomes led the 13 sec drive in collaboration with kelce not Reid. That speaks to the power of an elite QB.
      That said I think Reid is the 2-3rd best overall coach behind maybe shula who won with a

Brady isn't the GOAT because he consistently put up the best stats, it's because he grew into all of the big moments, elevated his play and did what was required to win. Hurts had better stats in terms of passing yards because Philly dominated time of possession significantly so he had far more of the ball. Mahomes was far more efficient and scored on every drive in the second half to lead his team to victory from a 10 point deficit. Mahomes was great in every sense of the word, not because he put up magical numbers but because he did exactly what his team need him to do to win the game.

    Football is all about cheating. First time I ever heard anyone with credibility say it out loud. Pre game scouting of refs to see what their tendencies are and how much cheating a team can get away with stains the game. With that mindset, if a team misjudges how far it can go with a ref and gets a flag, then that was a risk that should not have been taken by the player in that spot. If you pay attention to what Bradbury said, it wasn't inadvertent, it was intentional and the result was Mahomes was forced to throw it away. If it wasn't called by the ref because he saw it and permitted the hold and the Chiefs lost the game, the ref would be criticized for not making the call by Chiefs fans and the media. One remedy to cleaning up the game is to penalize players, coaches and organizations financially with steep fines, lost draft picks and suspensions for reaching a penalty threshold at the end of each season. That will do it. Remember bountygate with the Saints, that never happened again because of the consequences the league imposed. Easy fix if the league wants to fix the sport. Then there will be fewer calls, because there will be fewer penalties.
