I bought a set after watching your video, received the item a week ago and installed them today on my 08 GX470, the left side worked good but the inside right never lined up properly, it appears that they are different cuts and style of angle iron. Sending them back. It should be noted I follow your video step by step , which you did a great job explaining by the way.
Thanks for the video. What's weird is I saw your video after installing mine and I didn't remove the rear bolts. It didn't impact the install at all, I just tilted the seat back and pushed the risers in.
A picture comparison of a before (which you did include) and after, would have been really helpful.

How tall are you? I am 6'2", will my head hit the roof as I do now in my 4runner? I am looking to get a gx 470 but don't want to have the same problem of hitting my head, or having to lean forward and look up, or lean my head sidways to see traffic lights.
I’m just over 6’2”. Maybe it depends a bit on torso height vs leg length but I’ve never had any issues in the GX. Right now, I have a rental car in Europe and it is just like you described with the 4 Runner so it might just solve that problem. Hit me up here again in a few weeks and I’ll measure from the seat bottom to where my eyes are when driving if you’re interested in that.
If factory seats don’t have heater I might just change to bucket seat when I buy mine
I believe all GX470s have seat heaters but I could be wrong. That’s based on the fact that mine is a pretty basic spec and I have them

You know unfortunately I don’t recall exactly how long shipping took. This was a while ago. Maybe a week or so? They do help a lot with soreness on long trips for tall guys. Super nice.
