Check out how the Japanese make rice balls! th-cam.com/video/nfHy9m-eSRc/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching! Who's making some super easy, super delicious rice balls this weekend? ;)
Thanks for featuring Korean Jumeok Bap, the possibilities are endless! Thought I mention that your "furoshiki" is actually a Korean "Bojagi" with Korean writings on it. And yeah, we use them the same way too. Just a friendly point from a Kor-Am.
The egg blanket idea was so cute; I think it would probably be easier if you made a thin egg sheet (the size on the pan), remove the egg from the pan, then cut the sheet into multiple stripes that will fit the rice balls, adding the thin piece of nori afterwards. You could seal the edge of the nori with water. I made some tuna rice balls a few days ago, can't wait to try one of the recipes in this video.
Thank you kindly Yulia! That’s the nicest thing I’ve heard all day! I’m glad you enjoyed it and I’ll definitely be cranking out more recipes! Have you ever had these Korean rice balls before?
Straight Up Eats - Amazing Asian Recipes I had rice balls with tuna and mayo a few weeks ago at a restaurant and I thought it was a brilliant idea for a rice dish. So thank you so much for this recipe!
Yes, tuna and mayo go great! But once you add in some kimchi, game over! I’m happy that the recipe is useful to you, and I hope that you enjoy some of the other recipes we have here! Looking forward to hearing what you think about kimchi, tuna, and mayo!
I am not sure how I missed this video since Rice balls are one of my favorite. Your bacon and kimchi inspired me to make a samgyupsal rice ball: kimchi ,pork belly ,danmuji. I also make a veggie rice ball mushroom ,zucchini, carrot, onion seaweed is one of my families favorites. But we use whatever veggies we have on hand! When I accidentally use the wrong rice ( i sometimes forget and grab my long grain) and it wont stick I just make a rice bowl /fried rice by adding add a little sesame oil and soy sauce to the fry pan, then adding toppings like pork or beef and kimchi and diakon pickles. I also sometimes prefer the long grain when I do not have patience to roll a bunch of Rice balls. :)
Hey @That Brunette! The egg ones were good! Kind of like tamagoyaki wrapped around a tasty rice ball! I know you've been to Japan quite a few times, but have you been to Korea before?
Honestly, every time we land into the airport in Busan, the gangway from the plane into the airport smells like kimchi, haha! Mrs. Eats said that Incheon airport, which is the large international airport in Seoul used to smell a lot like kimchi too, but these days, not anymore. So I'd go a little further than your husband and say that kimchee is on everything and is EVERYWHERE!
This is fantastic. I'm going to make these with my middle school students as "summer enrichment." Question: Can we make these the day before, put them in the refrigerator, and eat them the next day for lunch? Will they hold up well and not dry out if we cover them properly?
How do i.make kimchi? Im.not.korean.but i am in love with korean dramas and thru that im starting to be interested in Korean food...i love your culture..pls tell.me.easy recipe for kimchi
Hello! Ken good to see you or should I say your hands 😂😂🤣yeah o.k. I suck with jokes. Ken I'm so happy that you made these, I was planning to make the rice balls with my left over ham I didn't think about the tuna, wow! great idea. I have a little kimchi left so this would be awesome. Love your food humor 😘 😂😂pics will be on the way when I'm done . Tell Mrs Eats she has the best job eating all that delicious food. Thank You , so much for your time and effort you and your wife put in your video's. Love you guys so much. Be safe , Be sweet and always keep it cooking 💞
Elvinnaa!!! Good to see you again! Yes, it's been all-hands for me lately, haha! Yes, you definitely have to try making these if you've got some leftover ingredients! They're very easy to do, but if you're working with kimchi, make sure to wear some gloves or your hands will be red and will smell like garlic for days, haha! Have you made rice balls before? Yes, can't see what you create! I think these will be delicious, especially with your homemade kimchi! It's my pleasure to make these and I'm glad you enjoy watching them! We'll continue to work hard to continue making videos! You take care and we'll talk soon!
I used a large square nonstick pan. Put several straps at a time, place rice balls at the end of each rice ball, finally slice each egg strip to roll. 5 at a time...ta dah!
Mechcam, so good to see you again! Hope you're doing well, my friend! YESS! The ramen onigiri! They sell something like that at 7-11 and it's AWESOME! Have you tried it?
Straight Up Eats - Amazing Asian Recipes yeah doing good. Hopefully you guys are doing good and the business is ok. Didn’t have a chance to try the one from 7-11 but it gotta be good though.
I’m glad to hear that, Mech! Yes, things are going well here! The country never really shutdown like the states did. People stopped going out after the first couple of months, but now, it looks like things are back to normal, with the exception of everyone wearing masks all summer long. I have a feeling Japan will open up to tourism sooner than I expected, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens with the virus this winter. Well, next time you come to Japan, you’ll have something on your to-do list, haha! It was pretty good and I think you’ll enjoy it a lot!
I will agree that *most* American manufactured mayo is awful, but some boutique brands are very good. The best mayo is one you make yourself. It can be a bit time consuming but worth it. Japanese mayo is quite good though.
Instead of laying seaweed on to the pan, first lay egg and then lay the seaweed on the top of it! Or if you keen on toasting the seaweed, first do that and remove from the pan, lay the row egg then lay the seaweed on the top of it! Do you think it’s a good idea or not?
I hate kewpie mayo. I don't get the hype. It's got that chemical taste that many brands of mayo have. Also I find the packaging so inconvenient and wasteful. The bottle can't stand upright when after a certain amount is used and it's so hard to get the remaining amount out.
Korean seaweed is definitely addictive! I’ve gotten out of bed in the middle of the night and eaten a whole pack! 😂😂😂😂
Seaweed/ nori has more nutrients than any land grown vegetable, munch on!😂❤

Can you eat these cold and can they be re-heated?
Ma negli “shorts” dove trovo la ricetta completa?
Can we use brown rice?
You should make one with a ramen egg wrapped with seasoned rice or fried rice.

OMG that PeeWee Herman reference. I was THERE, man. (Because I'm old. I'm saying I'm old.)
cam i still use the usual mayo i dont know where to get the japanese mayo
Yeah you can :)
Yeah the difference isn’t that big, so use whatever Mayo you have

Which Korea did this food come from. North, South, or Both
Why did Korean seasoned seaweed had Japanese on it??🤣🤣
Ur rice balls made me hungry
It's almost the same as Japanese rice balls. In the case of Japanese rice balls, the ingredients are much simpler.
Every food must have kimuchi. That is korean style
😍😍😍
Thank you Stephanie! Have you had these Korean rice balls before?
Has anyone had any reactions to the MSG in the mayonnaise?

Or use Rhee Chun 🥲
use a squeezebottle
잇앙하은 키오포너이
My god that seaweed at my plce is expensive
Mine was falling apart ☹️
let your pan cool before washing Mr Curved Pan Man
thats a lot of drug references for a rice ball video ;)

You dont should speak in the Sense with Heroine!!!!!
Highly inappropriate comments, Heroin, crack cocaine? Really??. It's a shame, it would have been a good video otherwise.
I don’t like your “drug” references. Please find another way to express your obsession.
Thank you
Lol the food to substance references 😂😂🤍
Great video 👍 I'm sure inspired!
Thanks
