Aaron: "It's okay. Don't worry 'bout it. Take it easy!" Me who just had a really difficult exam: * burst into tears * 😭😭😭❤ Also Claire's energy is like a breath of fresh air every time. I swear these videos make everything better!
I feel the same! I’m so overwhelmed with school but watching Aaron and Claire at the end of the day is so encouraging :’) youtube is like my therapy haha. Hope your exam went well!
Hello Dear. I know it is an old comment, but I hope you exam went well? Yes! This channel is the most positive too! I always get a laugh and learn a bit too! Take care!
Aaron: "I think I talk too much". Please don't talk less, Aaron: I LOVE listening to you and Claire! I mean, I love your recipes, but it's your style that draws me in. Don't ever change, please! 💕
Yes!! Koreans are so efficient at choping veggies because they eat so many! I learned a lot of chopping skills just from watching Maangchi and would love a full video.
Who made a rule they have to be rice balls? If they don't stay together, just make individual rice bowls instead. Garnish with chives, seaweed, sesame seeds, curls of pickled ginger, whatever, in pretty bowls, and they will be good enough for company.
I gotta say, as long as you try to make it look nice you will get better eventually. I have made rice balls about 20x now and I do think they look quite pretty nowadays, evemthough at the beginning they were just a mushy mess.
Your pork bulgolgi rice (not in a) ball just rescued this Mama who was feeling tired on a Friday night here in New Zealand, the entire family LOVES it, thankyou! thankyou!
Tip: If you have any non-sticky rice, you can make it sticky by washing the rice in a culinder and never stirring the rice when in the water. Make sure to use less water, but enough so that when the rice is cooked, it looks like it will be dry, but it won't, unless you leave it for over 2 minutes.
Thank you for repeating that we can use what we have on hand or leave out ingredients that we don't like. It's so nice to watch a show that's interesting, informative, and yet not anxiety inducing.
Aaron and his realisation about talking too much 😂. . . . Seriously speaking it's your talk that makes this video even more fun to watch!! Love how natural it sounds!!! PS : definitely trying these recipes soon. They really so tempting!!
As much as I love everything about your recipes and videos, I’ve got to give a shout-out to Claire for doing the dishes after she’s enjoyed the tasty fruits of Aaron’s labors!!
Lmao @2:10... Literally. As he was giving directions, I was like *"Nah... Maybe I get a rice mold or something"* and Aaron says "dont think about it getting a rice mold" I paused and looked around lol Also Me: _" I just saved $10 bucks lol"_ Thanks Aaron for remind to save money and also don't be lazy hehehe
Hi Aaron Hi Claire....I'm going to attempt to make these rice balls....I want to tell Claire that I like that she eats happily and heartily and enjoys eating because so many women get really shy when it comes to eating in front of a camera so they'll only eat very small and timidly... I like that Claire is bold... Aaron you are a very funny guy I like how comical you are it makes watching your videos fun and enjoyable.🤗
My friend hates cooking/thinks he can't but he made one of your recipes once and it turned out so good! We've started making your recipes together and it's always so easy, fun and tasty 😍
You continue to enrich my life by giving me much-needed new lunch ideas lol. I eat gimbap, triangle gimbap, tofu, and ramyun every single week and have been getting tired of my same old recipes and then you are always there with a new video of exactly what I need!! My favorite part of Korean cuisine is the variety--they have endless variety of their dishes!
Thank you Claire for helping Aaron both on the taste testing and for doing all his dishes. You are a team player!! Aaron thanks for another great set of rice ball recipes!!
If you have trouble shaping the riceball I can recommend using a small bowl lined with saranwrap. Put rice, filling and then more rice on top, wrap the saranwrap around and then take it out of the bowl and shape with your hands. This way noting sticks :) But because I make Onigiri at least once a week and mostly 10+ at a time I invested in a nice mold and I can really recommend it if you make it often
I love these videos! They keep me thinking about different combinations of flavors. Best part is that most of the ingredients are really inexpensive and you're great about giving alternative ingredients. Keep it up!
In my experience, ive used long grain rice since thats what i had at the time. With just a little less water made it sticky. I've made it once with left over pizza, and petite riceballs!
Idk how I found your channel, but I am so glad. The things you make are easy and look delicious. Can't wait to share your videos. My sister in law teaches English in S. Korea. She has been there with her now husband whom also teaches for 5 years. Love your channel! Love from Delaware USA 🇺🇸❤
Aaron, you may not realize it but your positive words and telling us that it's okay, take it easy, is so incredibly helpful during these times. Thank you so much 🤗 Claire is beautiful! Best taste tester! 💜
I told my various mom's groups about your site. We really like your Ja Jang Myun recipe. This is a good idea for our kids' lunches. Can you please make Yuk-gae Jang or Jae Yuk Bokum or Spicy Beef/Scallion Soup and/or Spicy Pork with Veggies.
Aaron do you read in people's minds !? Everytime I want to try something but don't know how, you come up with a new video and a ton of new recipes to save me lol ! You're a hero Aaron haha !
You guys are so amazing!! Aaron makes it seem so welcoming and makes me feel at ease if I don’t have 100% the same items and Claire’s descriptions of the food is like poetry! Thank you and keep up the amazing videos!
I am trying the tuna rice ball recipe tonight. I had to make a whole new playlist of recipes from your channel that I want to try, I already tried the accordion potatoes and they were wonderful!
Great minds think a like! I was just wrapping filming my Korean rice balls video for my channel when I came across yours. I love the one with the egg in it, great video as always Aaron and Claire!
After watching this I got a huge craving for rice balls, but I made samgak gimbap and am so happy now! Just tuna mayo and sesame rice in seaweed wrapper. We love it!
YES! I do get hungry after every one of your videos! 😅 I felt like I got caught. Lol I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned that I love the way Claire uses both Korean and English. It helps us non-Koreans keep up with our Korean. As always...you guys are awesome.
Aaron i just watch this and i really amaze ..... i just noticed about the egg after cooking the egg you can put in ice cold water so that the cooking process is stop.... and it is still amazing i learn alot about korean food.... keep it up
Aaron is slowly becoming my older brother who's main goal is to teach me how to cook and givng short inspirational quotes Thanks, Aaron for all the videos, seriously thanks to you I started cooking for myself and started a more healthy lifestyle
Funny story 😅 last week at my local Asian market I met a woman. We met at the korean bbq sauce, we were both trying to decide if we should get the sauce or make it. The lady started telling me about a TH-cam video she watched and she was trying to follow the recipe from that video. Come to find out we were both shopping to make Aaron's Bibigo that night 😅 and that we are avid watchers of their channel. And we started discussing the recipes we have tried so far, how much we love Aaron calling Claire 😅, him saying "don't worry about it", and Claire's reaction to the yummy food. It was so much fun meeting a fellow follower of Aaron and Claire ❤️.
Going to try these this weekend.....I will let you know how it goes! Really enjoy you both! Your cooking and dialogue brings a smile for happy cooking! LOL
Made your easy Kimchi recipe last week and it turned out great. Such good flavor and heat. Gonna have to try this one now. Thank you for what you do. Keep up the good work.
Ahh, that makes a lot of sense. I make musubis and rice balls occasionally and have wondered why they don't always stay together, even with using a mold. Now that I know there's a better rice to use, I'll have to try again!
I was still struggling to form the rice balls, so I used cling film (cut a square, put the rice in the center, put the fillings in the center of the rice, then picked up the edges of the cling film and twisted it tightly so that it formed it into a ball) which made things a bit easier for me! It was delicious, as always, thank you for the video! 💙
Growing up , I watched lots of Japanese anime n Korean dramas . Rice balls and just simple rice just looked so delicious in the shows . And I love good combo of rice n tuna , definitely gonna give this one a go
So thoroughly enjoyed this video. Looks like something to make for my grandchildren! Yes! They like seaweed, egg, rice, hmm, I should make rice balls. 😂 Thank you Aaron and Claire!
Great entertaining video. I love the variety of different choices and flavours you use. Your humour is outstanding. I actually laugh out loud. "Stay focused!" Greetings from Niagara Canada! Virtual hugs to you both. Good job, way to go!
Everything looks so good! It is my custom to eat the pork or bulgogi just on top of rice and eat away. Next time I will do rice balls. Looks so good with the oyster sauce and fry a bit. So pretty. Also I want to try the rice ball with the egg. Everything so good!

In Germany we call a semi hard/soft- boiled egg „Wachsweich“ which means it’s has the softness and texture of wax
