So here’s my question. If you have a slab leak, you cap a line like in video and reroute what actually stops the leak? The leak is still under the slab in a pinhole right? There’s still 5+ ft or more of line that has a leak that’s always filled with water from wherever that line is coming from. I’m not a plumber and not trying to be just not understanding how a reroute works if a cap is done without fix regarding the pin hole in the copper pipe which can still drip
I rerouted the water line from under the slab to an above-slab route. To isolate the leak, I capped off both ends of the original line and installed a new water line in its place. Water will never fill that specific line again.
