Two of the most underrated characters in the Disneyverse
Kate F we actually have them very often in our comics, the ‘Donald Duck weekblad’ as they appear with the big bad wolf, the two villains of brer rabbit and crossovers
It's sad to think that Disney will probably never treat these characters the same way that they used to. =(
I wish they’d do something new with them so that the Splash retheme doesn’t have to be the end of the line for them. I could accept the retheme better if I knew they could still thrive in some form.
It is a crying shame, I hate Disney for giving this movie such a bad reputation and putting so much toxicity over these characters….it’s so insane how this was like 40 something years ago when Disney was the way it was supposed to be and so much time has passed and they’ve done this movie so dirty and refuse to accept it for what it is….watching this is so heartbreaking because they welcomed this movie with open arms and treated in such a positive manner and now thy pour shit all of it…what happened to you Disney? Why can’t they go back to the way they were before where they positively opened this movie up and now treat like shit and making everyone become ignorant because of it? What’s happened to the Disney we once knew? Why can’t we just have both! DISNEY WTF HAS HAPPENED TO Y’ALL?!!? WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!
And if I got hired by the Big D someday, then I can get my shot on brining Br'er Fox back as a Furry Aussie Rorschach of sorts. He has some bits of the Comically Serious being used, meaning that he can be leaning on the Sillier and Serious sides of the coin of sorts. He would also look and feel like a Cowboy of sorts too.

Devestated these characters have allegedly been retired forever. Critter Country and Frontierland just won't feel the same without them around. So lucky I was able to meet Brer Rabbit back in 2019.
These three have become so iconic due to Splash Mountain alone, would love for them to continue the animated segments of these three
I hope they keep Splash mountain as is. I love that it doesn’t have any human animatronics and I’d rather here the song Zip-a-dee-do da then anything in the Princess and the Frog.

When watching this, I kind of feel like I would make a great Brer Fox because of how fast I can walk. Not that I am ever going to take such a job as a costumed man anyway, but if I was, it is a shame I may never get to be Brer Fox.
Brer Bear is a very large costume. Very heavy and visibility poor.

Certainly great tips for people going around in the costumes around Disneyworld. I remember when watching some Disneyworld sing-a-long videos, the characters would actually be heard talking, but when meeting them in person, they are always silent. I know this is because in the sing-along videos, the character's voices are voiceovers by the actual voice actors.
Whoever is in the Brer Fox and Brer Bear costumes, they sure are having a fun time with the kids.

This is a little chunk of gold for truth in history. It's surprising it survives. I hate revisionist thinking and social engineering that sugar coats difficult times. But all those remakes out there, retellings of classics with new and improved (unrealistic) gender and race changes and failing miserably. You'd think they'd learn to sit down and shut up and let history be history.

I've been to Disney world 4 times and every time I've gone I've seen Brer Bear and Brer Fox near Splash Mountain, never seen Brer Rabbit in the park other then one time during the illumination parade, reasons for this?
