  • So we know Montech well for being a budget case manufacturer, the company has released some impressive budget chassis previously, some of which we have featured on the channel. But the new Montech King 95 Pro looks like anything but budget with features such as curved glass, a relocatable side fan bracket, an interchangeable front panel, six forward and reverse ARGB fans, and an integrated ARGB PWM fan hub. But how does it shape up to the other similar ducal chamber cases on the market? Let’s find out.

    Worth mentioning that if you want to use the front mesh cover with intake fans, you either need to flip the fans since they are reversed, or purchase the Montech "AX" RGB fans which are standard air flow.

    That hinged fan bracket is THE smartest design innovation I have seen in a PC case! Effin' brilliant! 😯

    • @roberttrifts2737
      @roberttrifts2737 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It is clever, but you need to remember that the King 95 Pro ships in a format where those REVERSE bladed 140mm fans are intakes when mounted on the side. If you swing the panel forward and install the mesh, those fans will be *exhaust* fans unless you take them off the bracket and reverse their orientation to flip them over (which messes up the aesthetic of the RGB and Montech badge.) The solution is to buy 2 normal 140mm ARGB fans from Montech and install those on the swing out bracket, moving the reverse bladed 140 mm fans a little bit back of where they are installed by default on the swing bracket, moving them to the tray bracket and keeping their default orientation so you can continue to use them as side intakes. Problem: the normal Montech 140mm ARGB case fans are now sold out *almost everywhere*.

    Just built a new pc with a king 95 pro. Once you figure out the fan hub, its a great case. Fingerprint magnet with the glass though but that's really the only complaint I have. ARGB fans from the pro works with mystic light, press and hold the 'reset' button under the power button for 5 seconds and mystic light takes over. Absolutely great case especially for the cost. It is a beefy case, so be prepared for some weight. I was kinda surprised how heavy it was once the build was complete.

    Great review. Im about to bite the bullet on this and then realised I have a PSU thats 200mm long. Looking at the backside - can it actually accommodate the length if I remove the swing panel on the back? it looks like there is space present, but that it might just get nearer the cable tie area.
    This case is a perfect upgrade from my OG razer O11D as I just need a bit more width to fit in a wider GPU, but it would be a shame to not be able to get it due to the PSU alone.

      The so-called issues are minor. I have the King 95 Pro and it was a DREAM to build in. With a 7800X3D, EVGA 3080 FTW, and a Arctic Freezer II 360, temps in glass mode have been REALLY good. Unlooked for was how silent the thing is in glass mode while keeping those temps (under load) in the low 60s. I never thought the case & included fans would be silent as a crypt. I expected to have to switch out the glass for mesh, but there's no need with this CPU. , which is VERY power efficient and runs cool. Mesh front is not necessary for that CPU.
      People who do want to use the mesh front will want to buy 2 AX 140mm ARGB fans from Montech -- normal bladed fans to be placed in the front intake position, (not the reverse bladed 140mm intakes which come with the Pro (and should stay side mounted)). Problem is, the normal Montech AX140mm ARGB case fans are sold out nearly everywhere, snapped up by those who want to run the case in mesh mode. Hopefully, a new supply will come in from Montech soon. Basically, all of the early supply issues with this case are simple to explain: the market loves it and it has sold out in many channels.

    If you do decide to move the front fans from the side to the front, and use the mesh front panel, the front fans will be exhaust, and not intake. Montech does sell reverse direction fans though. It would benefit them to sell cases that are pre assembled with the reverse direction front fans installed, for anyone who plans on using the mesh front panel, with the fans facing the front.
