Howdy! In this video I'll be ranking all the bosses from Cuphead! The boss fights in Cuphead are in my opinion the best part of the game, but obviously not all boss fights are equal. What are some of your favourite Cuphead bosses?

Few days ago, I beat Cuphead on Expert.
I like how in the Wally warbles fight after you beat him, the doctor birds start seasoning him with salt and pepper. Surprised you didn’t bring that up.
Originally Wally was gonna fall out of the carrier thing instead of being eaten.

@@D0VEGUM Literally any other weapon. Those two reduce your damage way down
@@D0VEGUM smoke bomb is way better than extra hearts. Twin hearts will only save you twice and reduce your damage. Smoke bomb will save you as many times as you can dodge sucessfully and keep your damage normal

Honestly, grim matchstick is my favorite because his fight is so fun. The design of the fireballs, tails, and psyonic eyes are just so memorable. combine that with him summoning little flame fiends that try to attack you and a 3 HEADED HYDRA phase that turns one of the heads into a flamethrower to kill you is just amazing.
Ya he also has a really cool and cute design which I adore!
I think he's really underrated, especially on expert I find him so much better
It's very funny because my brother litterly took half an hour to beat him and he kept on dying lol
grim is fun, but can also be annoying. i like beppi because even though he's annoying he can still make it fun

However i disagree. Simply since I feel the fight is unfair with the random platforms, the randomly jumping fireballs that have weird indications and I HATE accidentally shooting the fireballs in the final fase since i use the charge.

I have a theory which says that the cat was built by Wermer, through the agreement he made with the Devil, to help him win a war he was participating. In this agreement, it was decided that all the victims' souls made by the machine would be stored and than delivered to the Devil. Wermer run away with his contract because he noticed that his soul were included in the agreement too.

10:46 wait, what? I can't believe it! I never noticed that detail! I was always stuck wondering why the captain didn't appear in the knockout, and now, I find out, after all this time that his own ship betrayed him by launching him into the ocean. How?
I find this with a lot of bosses, the art and design of this game is so meticulous, I decided that on a 2nd playthrough I’d use the system to record every boss fight, so I could watch it back later on and just take in the background, scenery, subtleties and animations of each different boss, when I play I’m just too focused on not dying lol, I mean it took me quite a few deaths to even realise the honeycombs are work cubicles in Rumor Honeybottoms
I adore this game because of the designs, I’m the type to stay there on a game for ages just admiring the character designs and/or sprites.

Fun fact: you can face Cagney as the first boss, just go through the secret path under the earth bridge to Hilda.
*HOW?* My first boss was the Root Pack, since I can't find a way to get to Cagney before I defeat any other boss.

But of course, Grim Matchstick is one of the easiest!
I actually didn't have too much trouble with him in expert. I've played enough bullet hell games to not be intimidated by the feather phase. Never really had issues there in any difficulty. I've still yet to ever beat the Robot, Dice or Devil on expert though.

I found grim matchstick somewhat easy on my first play through and on expert I got him after 5 tries, I gotta say he’s probably one of my favourite bosses

Werner Werman is probably my favourite boss of all time.
Firstly, I love how random it is. We get a bunch of cool villains, which are themed on ghost trains, gorgons, pirates, and even a giant plant. And then the creators were just like, 'Screw this, add a giant German war rat in a soup can tank with a robotic cat.' It's hilarious.
Also, he seems to have a nice personality, although we don't see too much of it. He's very determined, and I like how they incorperated the Greman accent.
Finally, that part where Tetra was shooting him, saying, 'I need some answers' was so hilarious.
The best boss of Cuphead is the endless amount of gaming journalist jokes it created

The first time I ever fought him, he did that and I was drunk and high so it really confused me and I hadn't heard of the glitch so I had no idea what had happened. Unfortunately I did not beat Dice himself on that attempt so I didn't benefit from the glitch in the long run... although the first time I actually beat Dice, I did so when he did his freeze-up glitch. It felt cheap though lol

@Cadence A Yeah him and Dr. Kahl are my favorites. He's not hard but the animation is just like playing a really sadistic episode of Tom and Jerry. He's fun for speedrunning too because he dies really quickly with the lobber and spreader.

When fighting the last phase of Wally Warbles, don't forget you can switch weapons to drop bombs instead of shooting bullets. This way you can hit Wally Warbles even while he's lying down.

Although I liked that you put phantom express at the 7 spot, no one in that fight is actually called phantom express, their names are Blind Specter, T-bone, Burner Bros& Head of The Train.

I love how he uses chaser, someone who finally gets it’s usefulness.
It can be useful but mainly in run and gun levels. Against bosses, there areonly a few cases where roundabout isn't a better option (Sally Stageplay's final fase, for example). It's especially painful to see him use chaser against bosses that are pretty much impossible not to hit with roundabout or even peashooter, like most of the Root Pack, Ribby and Croaks, or the majority of King Dice's minions. Or Grim Matchstick where lobber would hit just as well but do tons more damage.

@@RandomGachaEnjoyer That's fair but more damage = kill faster = less time to get hit by attacks. By doing needlessly low damage (and by that I mean using chaser on an extremely easy to hit boss like Root Pack phase 1 and 2, Mr. Wheezy, Ribby and Croaks, Sally Stageplay phase 1 and 2 etc.) you're just prolonging the fight and thus increasing the chance of getting hit, when you could make the fight much shorter with a weapon that will pretty much always hit the boss as long as you are holding down "attack", and the rare times it doesn't hit the boss are more than made up for by the higher damage output.

Personally, my favorite boss is Werner. The fight is quite easy but it's really fun and I also like his animations during the first phase.

As someone else who struggled a lot with Grim Matchstick, I have simplified the 2nd phase.
If the fire moves start jumping from the right, jump to the next platform. If they jump from the left, just jump where you are because they will basically jump to the next platform after you.
As soon as you mentioned how the Pip and Dot battle was “Basic” I was like, oh it reminds me of the Robotnik battle from Sonic CD. And then you took the words right out of my mouth, nice

If you like the Wally Warbles fight's feather attack, you would LOVE any Touhou game. Every bullet pattern in every bossfight shares a similar theme, each with unique flair and style (and difficulty).

You can cheese through most of Cala Maria's second stage by staying over on top her head while using the bombs attack. You will however have to move slightly back and fourth to dodge any outlying projectiles from the eels.

Easy ones are Hilda berg, Cagney, and Wally Warbles, don't have a lot of experience in other ones

I beat this game within a week blindly. I died 800+ times prior. Anyway, the big robot is very hard and the mermaid gave me a hard time looking at her thick hips switching left to right.

Just a tip for any beginners: You don’t have to fight the onion in the root pack on its stage, because if you don’t, he’ll go back down but it comes at a cost of also fighting a radish.

You can dodge the medusa blast, u just go up close to her eyes when she gets electrocuted, then when she blasts it won't effect u as long as u are as close to her as u can go

Although tbf even the game says to use different shooters as each boss has different abilities. E.g. Grim Matchstick is way easier with Lobber and Roundabout with 2 hearts as a charm
Instead of being a jackass, maybe give him some tips for the future. For example, i go with chargeshot, roundabout and the smoke bomb. none of those are crucial (smoke bomb can be pretty damn usefull tho). Its all about the play er and the way you choose to play, and if he wants play in a way, who are you to judge him?

My favorite boss has got to be the robot. That fight has such good music and is so memorable. It is also the hardest boss in the game which for me makes it even better. It has very good fighting mechanics too. I love that boss
