- I found he most amazing little pocket in the bedrock loaded with great gold. And this was only after about an hour of panning. Tranquille River's public area is a great spot to go recreational gold panning. It is a free spot for anyone to gold pan and has better gold than most private claims out there. Gold panners can be seen up and down the river all the time and yet there is still great gold to be had by anyone.

I can tell you are really into this , and you do know what you are doing more than most. You have done a lot of research and field work. Don't listen to people who put you down, they only do it because they aren't good at panning. If they were they wouldn't put you down.

When I was a kid growing up in Australia we we drove from Melbourne to Brisbane on a camping trip . We stopped for a picnic next to a fast flowing river like the river bed your filming in here . There was a lip over hanging the side also like the one dug out here .
I was looking for fish and was lay down looking over the lip to see the fish underneath. I saw a thick vein of gold in quartz I shouted my Dad and told him and he just shouted back , Its fool gold !
I swear to this Day I was correct , my Dad never even looked at it .
I was only about ten and haven’t got a clue whereabouts we were , I’ve questioned my Dad but he can’t remember. I’m now 62 and still remember that image.
Anyway , I’ll be watching your great videos again I’m intrigued . 😊

Sucks fr us in uk as not much gold here, I live in Cornwall so lucky enough to be able to find gold but only found 1/4 of a gram but it's more about getting out and the fun of the hunt
Great videos Dan. My dad built a 3 stage sluice and a spiral wheel to work his claim in the fraser canyon. You know what your doing for sure and you've inspired me to get into working a claim in the fraser canyon like my dad did in the 80's. Cheers.

To hell with anyone that puts you down. In my very very humble opinion you do a great job on your videos. Watching your videos has made me want to get out and look for gold. But where I live there is no gold to be found that I've ever heard of. So I get my fix for Gold by watching you. Thank you for taking the time and the immense amount of work it is to film edit and upload the videos. I still want to see you find a huge gold nugget the size of a softball.
Dan this brings you pleasure and I get it having actually gone and done it too. USE TO RUSH to the house after day job and work my bring back buckets. Only stopped by the dinner bell or extremely cold. Have even found great gold in my home state. Georgia has great mountain gold, the heat is unbearable but the sweat provides a wash plant!.
My Dad retired to panning gold. Also searched for Gem stones. My Dad died a number of years ago. It was nice to see what he was doing and learn something about. I also had his someone of his belongings from back then. The little container you used for gold around your neck. I found his so was nice to have that to remember him by. I'm a Michigan prospector... No it's ok, we've got super fine and far between Placer gold. The slow pan, that had me thinking it was me pannin. If we don't pan that slow and slower, we loose those tiny pieces of skeeter poo out of our pan. Looks like you have your self an amazing world around you for a prospectors heart.

I’ve been watching your video’s and your adventures for about 2 years now. You definitely know what your doing Dan. I’m an old school panner, who long ago learned that there is always one trick you haven’t seen before and there is always one place you haven’t looked. Best part is you keep it simple, there is so much misinformation out there yet you always tell it like it is, even if we don’t see all the work and decision making that goes into your work....
Dan, here in the southern State, Texas, we have a saying for certain types of people it’s Bless Your Heart.

I am certainly not someone who knows a lot about this stuff, but I think it’s pretty obvious that you know what you’re doing and put a ton of research and effort into it behind the scenes. You’re not just someone going out there because oooh, gold, let’s get rich quick! You’re definitely a pro with a lot of patience.
Rather than thinking you don’t know what you’re doing, I just think...he must have a reason for doing that-I need to find out what it is.
It’s the experience and oh the sound of the water, beautiful nature and fabulous clean air....on top of priceless you have gold. Omg it is heaven.

I heard that if you stand on your head in the middle of the river and talk to the river nicely, she will open up the hidden vein full of 5 lb's worth of gold. You have to say Wilmer Chay 3 times as well, while under water that is. Least that's what the man at the hospital told me some years back.

I think the key board warriors are just envious of Dan that he finds what he's looking for through his own hard earned research of the area. I do as much detecting that l can which is not as much as l'd like too so l get on TH-cam. I enjoy watching people that have done the hard yards & are successful.
