Next time you're out with your scope, and you hear a rustle in the bushes. Just know that's not an animal. That's Nico Carver, of Nebula Photos, waiting to strike.
Had a bobcat calling in the woods close to where I was set up at Cherry Springs 2 yrs ago. I'd much rather see Nico in the bushes! Trevor, beautiful work on the Broom! I like the spikes on 52 Cygni at the beginning! I've learned a ton from both of you and really appreciate what you guys do for the community.
You and Nico really are the premier Astrophotography channels on TH-cam. I like Astrobiscuit too because he is a bit of a looney and really great to watch but he just doesn't upload enough. All 3 of you make fantastic videos. Thanks for all your efforts.
Agreed! Would love to see some real collab videos. @astrobackyard, maybe you each collect data from your respective homes of the same object, and you each do your own processing of the combined data set? Would be a really interesting discussion.
I watched your old video on the Witch's Broom (from SIX years ago!!) and honestly the amount of progress you've made in that time is nothing short of remarkable, not just in your images either - look how much your life has changed! :-) I'm so happy for you brother, keep doing what you do!
The Veil is such an impressive target Trevor. You really showcase the power of shooting with mono and dedicated narrowband filters. Combined with your more recent tools and skills, the final result really pops! Looks like you had a great time with Nico. Met him at the recent Black Forest Star Party and he’s a super nice guy.
My two favorite Astrophotographers in one video, Nico and Trevor in the House! Definitely an alignment of stars has occurred. I freaken love it, thanks guys! Do it again.
I love the fun at the start with Nico, you must do more of this duo act - really good to see. On that the Veil was amazing, I have tried with the 135mm and 65mm APO - will attempt with the 120 next !
Huge fan of both you and Nico. Without @Astrobackyard and @NebulaPhotos not sure I would even still be getting my rig outside so thanks to both of you!
You and Nico are the 2 main people that got me into this hobby. Seeing that I can actually see these wonders in the sky from my own yard was absolutely mind-blowing! Thank you both for helping me find a healthy and incredible hobby ❤️
There's something extra wholesome about content creators within a given topic appearing in each others videos. Especially when it's something so funny and self-ironic as what you two did in this video. I enjoyed that bit. Really cool to see the progress of your images. I've been at it for 2-3 years now myself, and I always like to compare my results with previous attempts.
Wow! That photo is amazing! Your progression is truly amazing and inspiring. I just captured my first nebula about a week ago. Hopefully many more to come.
It's great to see you both working together, even if the skies don't allow any imaging. The kit lens challenge is still one of my all time favorites. Keep having fun and clear skies!
Man I love this channel. I dabble in astrophotography. Started out hand tracking with my Nikon D3300 with either of the kit lenses. Mostly the 55-200mm. I did mostly Orion and Andromeda because they are the easiest. The other month I finally bought a cheap tracker. The iOptron Skytracker Pro. The Veil Nebula was literally the first object I tried with the tracker. It took me a while to actually find it. There isn't much to look at on a single image. But it was enough hint of something to know I was looking in the right spot. I believe I had the 55-200mm on 119mm. I wanted to do 2 hours of integration but some unexpected clouds moved in at around 1 hour into it. But I stacked the images in DSS and edited and it kinda blew my mind. No it wasn't great by any means and plus the fact that I suck at editing. But it was a "oh wow" moment for me to see the blue and red wispy gas clouds with this cheap set up. I most definitely want to try the Veil Nebula again but with a lot more integration and I've been watching videos on how to edit better.
The final result is stunning, congratulations! I love watching your videos and Nebula Photos as well, even though I don't do any astrophotography (just getting into visual astronomy now). Nice to see you two collaborating and hope the weather is better next time
Great detail on the broom, the resolution on that 6200 mono is incredible. Whenever I see your photos I have to not look at mine for a while :) Great job.
I loved seeing Nico there with you. I only wish that the weather had cooperated and the two of you had been able to shoot together. I just ordered an ASI Air Plus and hope to have it within the week. I should be shooting soon and can hardly wait to join the ranks of folks like you, albeit as a rank amateur.
The beginning was awesome! Btw, your processing and acquisition skills have improved leaps and bounds over the years man. Huge improvements every year. Clear skies Trevor 🤘🏻
That subtle appearance to interrupt, my kind of humor 😂 Maddie and I have our renewed passports finally and have been talking about a little trip to Ontario some time in the next few months. Any recommended must see/visit spots? And of course if scheduling allows, maybe even meet up for lunch or something!
Perfect timing! I've been imaging parts of this region over the summer wirh an Apertura 60, and an ASI533MC Pro. I just got that camera with the OPTOLONG L ENHANSE on rhe 135mm Rokinon. So imaging this region. It's a perfect subject for this combo. Also going to grab the Sadr region, and Cygnus wall. Love Niko's sight. Kool to see you guys together! Woops, clouds just rolled in on Andromeda imaging session. Hopefully clear outside's Sunday prediction is accurate for clearer skies. It's let me down too often.
What a shot! Man, im not into this stuff but its always interesting to see your video, there is so much to explore in the sky. So sad its hard to explore earth alone, let alone space which looks so awesome.
That nebula is so wild and your processing skills just make it pop. Your initial review of the L-extreme several years ago was what convinced me to but it. Works incredibly well from my Bortle 2 skies but occasionally I get severe halos on all of my stars. Not always though. Still trying to figure the issue out as even when using the same set up (same scope, same 2600MC pro settings, not having to touch the focus) but shooting different targets over consecutive nights gives me vastly different results. Halos on some nights, not on others. Dr B from Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦
Amazing details! When I saw Nico walk up behind you I got super excited because I thought it was going to be another shoot-out like you guys did a while back. I really enjoyed that one. Apparently, he had some pumpkin carving to do though. I started following you about 3 years ago and was pleasantly surprised to find out you’re a fellow Canadian. I’m from Vernon, BC and you’ve inspired me to attempt a few videos as well. I’m not sure if I’ll stick with it like you have but just dipping my toes into now I have a different respect for a skill you have that really gets lost here - your videography skills! I hope you stick with it for years to come! Have a Happy Halloween!
I recently processed my own capture of the Veil with a RedCat51, and I gotta say, You have some INSANE detail there. I aspire to have that kind of detail...
Timely video. I am currently working on a 3 panel mosaic of the Witches Broom. Having to shoot mosaic since I only have the 5SE, .63 reducer, and ASI533MM-P. This is my second target using the mono camera. With NGC6960 starting at the meridian I'm only getting a few hours each night. 3 panels with SHO is taking a long time. Hoping to finish it up by next week, but I can see storms rolling in Sunday night. Will try out HOO. Clear Skies!
I don't do deep sky stuff (yet) but I do enjoy the videos. So much so that it's worth the few seconds it takes to click on an affiliate link before ordering gear. 👍
What a terrific final result. But does anybody else break into laughter at 4:18 when Trevor's narration includes a view of no less than 12 telescope setups in the garage background, along with at least 1-2 tripods with a DSLR setup? 🤣Hi Nico!
Fantastic as always...but that 3D feeling ... wow. How did you get that? Lol. I would pay to see a video on processing that is that in depth, how ever many hours that would be.
Next time you're out with your scope, and you hear a rustle in the bushes. Just know that's not an animal. That's Nico Carver, of Nebula Photos, waiting to strike.
Funny that you say that because I heard a rustle in the woods last week while imaging M45. Now I know what (or rather, who) it was.
Above all... make sure it's not a skunk that's making noise in the bush behind you🦨.... those things happen... I can relate 😉
Lmaoooo
😏

How about "Damon Scotting"?

@lukumatico, your work is pretty phenomenal too bro.

Astrophotography collabs are the best collabs
My two favorite Astrophotographers in one video, Nico and Trevor in the House! Definitely an alignment of stars has occurred. I freaken love it, thanks guys! Do it again.
Beautiful colors in the backyard, Trevor! And insane image, wow! 🔥
Thanks, Noah! Clear skies :)
I love the fun at the start with Nico, you must do more of this duo act - really good to see. On that the Veil was amazing, I have tried with the 135mm and 65mm APO - will attempt with the 120 next !
Loving the collabs that have been popping up in the AP community. Its dope to bond with ppl that share passions.
Huge fan of both you and Nico. Without @Astrobackyard and @NebulaPhotos not sure I would even still be getting my rig outside so thanks to both of you!

The final image you processed just looks so alive
Loving this new cameo/ crossover meta amongst astro TH-camrs. V fun.
Also your garage has become unbelievably stacked with astro gear!
Your processing has gotten insane dude, even in the past 3 months I’ve noticed a HUGE difference. Keep it up my guy!
Wow! That photo is amazing! Your progression is truly amazing and inspiring. I just captured my first nebula about a week ago. Hopefully many more to come.
A video with Niko. Definitely not going to procrastinate on this one even for a second.
AMAZING seeing these two together!!!!

Stunning Veil image Trevor - so much rich detail! Capture and processing in perfect harmony. Clear skies!
Cool that you guys got to hand out, and that's one mighty Veil image!
those shots with Nico at the beginning were phenomenal! you should do it again or make a whole series of it :D
keep the amazing work!
clear skies!
The final result is stunning, congratulations! I love watching your videos and Nebula Photos as well, even though I don't do any astrophotography (just getting into visual astronomy now). Nice to see you two collaborating and hope the weather is better next time

Been looking forward for this video when the teasers came out. 2 of my favorite astrophotography content creators together.
I loved seeing Nico there with you. I only wish that the weather had cooperated and the two of you had been able to shoot together.

My favorite image of yours yet!
Wow!! What a big difference between then and now. From time to time so much improvement.
Amazing image you captured there! The details and depth of colour really draw you in
I always love it when you two collaborate, hahahaha--thank you (both) for sharing your passion for astrophotography! I'm always learning so much!
Dang, dude! That’s a great image! Awesome video, and thank you! 😉
Very nice result! Thanks for the video!
The beginning was awesome! Btw, your processing and acquisition skills have improved leaps and bounds over the years man. Huge improvements every year. Clear skies Trevor 🤘🏻
Great video bro! That image is top notch premium. Good job
2 of my favorite channels doing a collab! amazing❤️ hello from a fello ontario person👍
Wow! 2023 was a good year for you capturing this one. Stunner for sure.
Always a fun target to shoot Trevor, as software and skills improve so does the final image!
Love it when you guys colab!!!! The W. Veil shots are amazing!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
I watch both of you guys although I’m not an astrophotographer I really enjoy the information. Thanks!
Great job Trevor - I had shot a similar SHO image of the western veil … my reds are more yellowish … great processing by you
I laughed so much at the parts with Nico :D And such an amazing result at the end... well done man!
That subtle appearance to interrupt, my kind of humor 😂 Maddie and I have our renewed passports finally and have been talking about a little trip to Ontario some time in the next few months. Any recommended must see/visit spots? And of course if scheduling allows, maybe even meet up for lunch or something!
Stay in touch. We know all the best local craft breweries 😉
I love these collabs so much
Wow! My two favorite astrophotographers in the sama video! Wish the part with you two was longer❤
Careful, I think Nico is looking for parts for his new astro-shed. Must be nice now to have that additional space for the gear.
Perfect timing! I've been imaging parts of this region over the summer wirh an Apertura 60, and an ASI533MC Pro. I just got that camera with the OPTOLONG L ENHANSE on rhe 135mm Rokinon. The Abbott and Costello of Astro! 😂 Loved your bit with Nico at the start and your image was awesome, mate! Best wishes from a rain-soaked Scotland!
What a shot! Man, im not into this stuff but its always interesting to see your video, there is so much to explore in the sky. So sad its hard to explore earth alone, let alone space which looks so awesome.
Nico Carvier just walks into the frame. Epic!!!!! Clear skies ✨️

Beautiful image. Always nice to see the progression and improvements thanks for sharing
That's a beautiful image! I can see why people would want a prong on their wall! 👍👍
Amazing details! When I saw Nico walk up behind you I got super excited because I thought it was going to be another shoot-out like you guys did a while back. I really enjoyed that one. Apparently, he had some pumpkin carving to do though.
