"Daemon has no fear of the Commander of the Kingsguard" Dude literally walked inside the dark cave that housed the Crabfeeder and his men, and emerged with his foe's severed upper body. You think he has fear of a Lord Commander of the Kingsguard?
As much as i love daemon, criston cole has proved time and time again that the kingsguard are a step above everyone else in fighting. The only other person that seems to give him a good fight was a another kingsguard and someone he personally trained (aemond)
@@ATribeCalledLegion (spoilers) There's quite a few warriors outside the kingsguard who could stand toe to toe with them. Two off the top of my head: Cregan Stark & Roddy the Ruin. I have not read this shit in years and those are only the two I could remember but even I can name a few. I'm sure there's more if you look. Also, his series will inevitably have less people who can stand against them because this story is not as fleshed out as mainline GoT. Main GoT has shitloads of side characters. HotD will inevitably have less characters because it's just ancient stories focused on key historic characters for the main series to draw upon. I'm hoping they fix that by making more show original characters. At the very least I'd like to see a commoner warrior like Bronn take the spotlight in this show aswell. It would be lame for this series to exclusively focus on noble knights and lords with no focus on commoners at all.
The acting from Paddy Considine and Matt Smith in this series was phenomenal and the level of gravity they brought when they shared scenes together was astounding.
The worst part of this scene was Viserys banging the tip of his sword, Blackfyre, on the floor as he walked forward. Dude, I know that's Valyrian Steel but damn - show some respect to the blade.
I like your notes, so interesting, a really great way of calling attention to character. Also, what the hell, dude, did you want to sink that ship? Because you could have.
Viserys be like: "thank you for winning the war I never really cared about but since you're seeking my approval so desperately, I'll save your face in front of the court"
He genuinely loves Viserys - and he knows despite his own ambitions that what Viserys and some of the council think of him is correct: he is too impulsive, distractable and passionate for the throne. He would plunge the realm into war, tyranny or both, and Daemon for his faults is wise and self-aware enough to realize it. Supremely well-written and complex character.
Because being loyal to his brother allows him to be ruthless he dosent want to be king it’s why he bows to his wife as a king if he acted this way his people would rebel as the threat his brother then wife levels he gets to be the monster and praised for it
If only viserys had been more receptive to daemons words. He’s still right to not fully trust, mostly right I’ll say instead, but the audience, at least me, could tell that daemon did have some good ideas to better his house even if he received more benefits from it
Deamon should have been his main. Guard and stayed at kings landing Otto nor Ser christon would tried to crown aegon and if they did his spy mistress would of delivered aegon to him especially having the city watch loyal to him
Seems like Brett Smashy is the one obsessed with the teen actress for Rhaenyra to be honest. Who gives a f how many times the camera zooms in on her. Weirdo.
For all the conflicts between Viserys and Daemon, they genuinely loved each other.
one thing the show forgot to mention was when there was the vote for Viserys to be king, Daemon was gathering an army incase he lost
@@seyamrahman6722 In response to Corlys summoning his fleet, as soon as he thought he'd need to fight for his brother Daemon didn't hesitate
Typical brother relationship. You can't stand each other's guts sometimes, but you're family.
True siblings never forget that.
Did they thou? I don’t think daemon loved him.
Viserys loved his brother dearly. As for Daemon seems he did not feel the same for his brother

Dude literally walked inside the dark cave that housed the Crabfeeder and his men, and emerged with his foe's severed upper body.
You think he has fear of a Lord Commander of the Kingsguard?
Also the fact he is a dragon riding targaryen prince
If he dies, Viserys can’t do much for the realm
To be fair, almost all his men were outside getting torn to pieces or burnt to a crisp.

Otto is wishing Daemon had died. Viserys is just happy to have his baby brother back.
Viserys never wanted damon by his side.
The hug at the end was the best part.
The acting from Paddy Considine and Matt Smith in this series was phenomenal and the level of gravity they brought when they shared scenes together was astounding.
Great notes!
She was obsessed with him at her 18/19 and 10 years later - the same reaction.

goated for posting all these clips. love the comments on key moments too
Thanks! I ❤️ doing deep dives into these scenes. There’s usually so much more going on in HotD than we notice at first glance.
Daemon is the ‘girls love it when you treat them like crap’ method lol
Otto's probably thinking I smell shit and deamons like that's you, you can smell your shit 😂😂😂
In the end, all his he ever wanted was to get his brother recognition
Whoever did the casting,I say WELL DONE!
Daemon walks majestically
While everyone is scared to death and hiding ,Rhaenyra Was looking up and until the last minute without flinching.
3:58 What Otto is thinking: "Why couldn't it have been the triarchy to smash this would be tyrant instead of this?"
Is anyone else wondering how on earth Rhaenyra got to the throne room before Daemon after seeing him overtake her on his dragon?
He took his time we guess
Daemon really is such a great character for all his ills he still loves his brother and family
I like your notes, so interesting, a really great way of calling attention to character.
Also, what the hell, dude, did you want to sink that ship? Because you could have.
Daemon: Permission to buzz the tower.
negative, dragonrider, the pattern is full
Rob Stark was standing beside Rhaenyra

How can someone so cruel n ruthless, a prince like Daemon remain loyal to his brother king?
Because he's equal parts light and dark. And most importantly he loves his brother.
Ask Andrew Jackson about his country

Or part of the Council. Otto was so jealous of him that is why
Daemon would never agree to do that do, he is named rogue prince for a reason.
Using Blackfyre as a cane is such a power play. Its as much a symbol of the royal family as the Iron throne is, and he's using it to support himself.

Really liking and appreciating your HotD clips Brett. My only criticism is that you persist in stating the blimmin obvious. Xx
Daemon showing he will not play the game. Only he cares was to show that he has value to his brother, aside from bloodshed.
Daemon the bad ass what a king he would have been
The only person Daemon would possibly bend the knee for. Bro still struggling to do it in S2 bc of his damn pride/ambitions
You accidentally put a video in your powerpoint. Might want to fix that
Daemon should have rebelled against viserys after marrying laena.
He would have defeated viserys easily and crowned himself king.
Say what you will about Daemon but he loved his brother Viserys. Too bad The King didn't realize that fact.
I f love this mother frs
The only thing is daemon is arrogant af like Joffrey was, he’s thinks just being a Targaryen mean he is untouchable.
I think the number of arrows he was shot with during the battle with the crab people begs to differ....
I also think he is best of Targaryens. Apart of Aegon The conqueror
Deamon should've been hand of the King.
Daemon equals BADASS
