    Very nicely put forward. Very nice video and very informative.
    Few things which you can add - Within L1A, there is further bifurcation which is Blanket approval. If you have L1A (Blanket) then it becomes easy to get visa and renewal doesn't get rejected.

    Thank you, very informative. I have one question, considering your experience or what you've heard from other colleagues.
    L-1B visa requieres Specialized Knowledge, which is defined in the USCIS page as "Specialized knowledge means either special knowledge possessed by an individual of the petitioning organization’s product, service, research, equipment, techniques, management, or other interests and its application in international markets, or an advanced level of knowledge or expertise in the organization’s processes and procedures"
    --> Any specific considerations to have for justifying Specialized Knowledge? Any common blockers you've heard of? I'm trying to understand if I could be potentially eligible regarding my experience and knowledge in my current company.

    Hi Priya, I also work for Google and on an L1A visa starting July 2022. Will you suggest applying for H1B right now or wait for 3 years? I was hesitant to change to an H1B status since L1A has better GC path and spouse EAD chances.
    Moreover, since I was not a manager for >1 year outside of US, I cannot apply for EB1C Green card process. So, will I have to go out of US for 1 year and come back to apply for Eb1. What will you suggest in that case?
    Thanks so much in advance!

    • @itsokyaaar
      @itsokyaaar  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would recommend having H1B as back up but not change your status till you absolutely must. My L1A had gotten rejected so I moved to h1B only then. Moving out of US for a year and getting EB1 is the best way to get GC else you will always be in the H1B grind. It's a tough choice to be honest but having H1B as a back up is a no brainer.

    Hi Priya, 1. Very informative video. Appreciate it. 1. Corrent me if I understand correctly, PERM process is not needed for L1B (Blanket) category? 2. How long does it take to get the I-140 approval? 3. Can we change employer after getting I-140 approved not adversely impacting GC process? 4. Should I-140 COMPLETED within 5 years or just FILING of I-140 is adequate within 5 years? 5. What is the next after I-140 completed? 6. Is there any travel restriction leaving USA to visit India (or any other places outside USA) until I-140 approved?

    • @itsokyaaar
      @itsokyaaar  ปีที่แล้ว

      1) yes your directly apply i-140 2) depends and varies but took me anywhere between 9-12 months for L1 A 3) I wouldn't recommend, also NO because your L visa is tied to employer 4) has to be completed and hopefully get your GC as extension is not possible after 5 years also recommend checking this with lawyer 5) applying for GC in the EB1 category if possible 6) no as long your visa is valid and you have a valid stamp .. please double check everything with lawyer because every case is different!!
