As an American, who fortunately is not living in the US anymore, I am amazed that so many people still want to go live in the US giving the mountains of series problems that exist there. I would suggest that people go visit there and ask any friends or family that live there about what their children are being taught (or not taught) in school. How much it costs if you get injured and have to go to a hospital. How safe is it. The problems of immigration. The problems of infrastructure. The problems of politics. The list is long and the supposed leaders who should be fixing the problems are too busy doing insider trading (which most people don't realise is legal for members of congress - ask Nancy Pelosi, the greatest stock trader ever). But if despite that you want to move to the US. I honestly wish you luck.

@@bahroz I completely agree. Having lived overseas for more than 30 years across Europe and now in Dubai and growing up in New York in the 60s, 70s and 80s I have a perspective on the changes in my country that for people who recently immigrated there they can’t appreciate. When I go there I am shocked at what has happened to it. But in many parts of western Europe and the UK it’s getting equally as bad. Like I said, I wish you and anyone else who chooses to move there, the best of luck.

1- Do we need to be physically present in US to apply for GC?
2- I am a Canadian Citizen and due to some commitments I was thinking to get L1A and come back to Canada and work from here as mine is Remote.
3- Do you see any issues if I process GC till medical stage from
Canada and move to US at that point and stay back until I get my GC. Thanks

One question - was your green card application in EB1 category or EB 2? Asking because some of the requirements you are saying for L1 seem to be the same as EB1C.
So in which situations would a company opt to bring an employee to US on L1 versus EB1C directly?

My question is that EB1 for India was not current in 2023 and even now it is not current. That is what I am awaiting now to let it become current. How did you managed to get it when the EB1 india priority dates were not current ? Thanks.

    1. What if L1B reached to extended period i.e 5years does company apply for new L1 b visa or we have to come outside of US for a year and apply H1B?
