Hi Stef! She has her publications listed here (but the most recent is still underway and not published yet, I believe): www.infinitydentalspecialists.com/meet-us/dr-marianna-evans/
Excellent material! Thank you for sharing. It’s interesting how a problem can be “pandemic”, yet be so unknown by most health professionals in related fields. I’m a dentist. I was exposed to this widespread problem relatively recently. Maybe 5 years ago. Most of my colleagues are lacking knowledge in this area (to the level they should be at) Cheers to sharing this very important information! PS: I am a very fit 165 lbs, and I have sleep apnea. My investigation into sleep apnea actually took me in the direction of skeletal developement, oral myofunction, etc
@@tjam4229 Yes! Even the fit individuals can have restricted airways! I just went through adult expansion and forward growth and my airway increased dramatically per the before and after CBCT scans my airway centric dentist completed. I'm so glad to learn about others in this space!
A very small amount, something like 0.5mm forward expansion on average, according to Dr. Ting. However, using reverse headgear during and after the MSE can give a few mm more forward movement.
Great interview and presentation
Wow Dr. Evans knows what she's talking about!
Does anyone know how to find the study by Marianna Evans comparing proportions of skulls in pre-industrial vs post-industrial periods?

@@halliebulkin368 Could you share some details on your expansion? Did you require any kind of appliance?
@@cdavid5268 Yes I used a DNA (Vivos) appliance for 2 years. I am now using invisalign to straighten completely (more for cosmetic reasons)
Can you get forward expansion with the MSE?
I am not an ortho/dentist but I am told you can!
