I’m a GS main, when Strongarm came out I really tried to like it. The fights just seemed so choreographed. If I don’t use it I’m not maximizing the weapons damage and if I do, every fight turns into staging up a few strong attacks. I’m trying out Glaive and this video was exactly what I needed. Thanks bro.
Me as well. I played LS a lot but with the Sakura and Sacred sheath since I suck with the other playstyle. Now Im trying Insect Glaive since Ive always wanted to try and now Im struggling on what to do. This video is a lifesaver even If i was late
First good insect glaive guide I've come across. When discussing combos, most people will just tell you to do the infinite, which really isn't good in most scenarios.
Something to note is when using kinsect slash to collect buffs once you have red you can no longer collect the other two so you wanna do it last if your tring to get all 3 in one combo however kinsect glide can still collect the other 2 in a pinch at the cost of one wirebug each
Personally I prefer S Rising S Reaping and S Sweeping (triangle triangle circle) as an infinite combo before tertraseal is unlocked. Overhead smash just moves you out of position too much. Tetraseal slash becomes bread and butter when you get it though.
I still feel like I'm super inconsistent, like sometimes I feel like I'm ssj, and other times I'm just not connecting. I shall continue to train, I usually a LS build, trying out the glaive is vastly different
Hi Carl, thanks! I feel you that it always over shoot. I think it's more about how you get feel of the aiming. You want to aim your character to the point you want to go and make sure you press the button for Diving Wyvern the moment you are in the position.
Hmm, double check a few things. 1. Did you equip Awakened Kinsect Attack as your switch skill? 2. Are you using it on the ground? 3. Did you kinsect hit monster when you send it out?
That's if all hits land. Tetraseal slash has longer over all combo time than tornado. And you can easily interrupt it. So in terms of DPS in real hunt, tornado sill wins for me. But yea, you are right, full combo of Tetraseal does more damage.

Hello! Great video, thank you.
How are you doing short air dashes to re-position? My dashes always go way to far.

nice guide ty :D
what about the spinning slashes in the air? (A on switch, B on xbox controller)
is it better to just have the kinsect move?
You can control general direction but won't be able to aim. Think that's the same move from MHW
What are your switch skills
Im pretty new what are these different things your equipping
How do you make your kinsect to follow your attack?
why my L2+O is leaping backward? it mean i cant use awakened kinsect attack :'(
Hmm, double check a few things. 1. Did you equip Awakened Kinsect Attack as your switch skill? 2. Are you using it on the ground? 3. Did you kinsect hit monster when you send it out?
whats the name of that weapon? im new in MHR Sunbreak
What armor ?
Hmm🤔more moveset than mhw. Idk i want to try buy it or not. I like it have that classic monster hunter vibe
Aerial glaive in Rise is buffed a lot. It’s pretty fun to play. Especially now they are at end of updates.
Tetraseal does more dmg then tornado slash tho

What beetle or kinsect do you use ?
Mostly dual color blunt.
"Guide for Beginners".
Tells you to use "Awakened Kinsect Attack". Great. lol
'-' I play on pc, this guide is good, but dont helped me
I’ll be making more PC guides when Wild comes out.
