Hey Brooks! Just a couple of notes on your great video. PTM stands for Performance Traction Management. Basically different levels of traction control intervention. Also, you can also get into Launch Control by double tapping the TC button in Sport Mode (Competitive Mode) or Track Mode (Brings up full PTM options). Great video and can't wait for more Z06 content as an owner myself!
Thanks! So you have to have PTM all the way to the right to launch in any mode?
@@DragTimes Nope! So if you double tap TC in Sport Mode, it will bring up Competitive mode. Thats a different version of PTM with no options but allows for Launch Control. I prefer to launch in this set up as it softens up the rear suspension a bit. If you are in track mode and double tap TC (or hit Z twice like you did) you enter PTM mode which has 5 levels of traction management inside track mode. Launch control works in all 5 of these PTM modes.
@@bluebomber697that’s preposterous! Why did Chevy make it so difficult? Just do it like Porsche… any mode, hard press on the brake, launch mode activated, say goodnight Z06. 😂
@@TML34 Difficult? You have to double tap the TC button that’s it. That’s pretty simple lol. Also, this dusts any Porsche that isn’t a Turbo/GT2RS lol. Not exactly a surprise losing to those two cars.

Thank you for covering all the features but, I think you left out the PDR can be set to turn on automatically when the car is started, and it has a valet mode. Failed to mention nice video.

I know it's not a use case for everyone but I'm glad Chevy allows you to connect two phones fully through Bluetooth. Love that the system is also smart enough to do seamless switching between both devices whether it's me getting a call or playing music.
That's actually a use case for me and i like those features. Fantastic in my opinion.

The automatic c6 corvette paddle shifters are like the McLaren upshift and down shift on each paddle on each side. I wonder why they didn't do that with the c8?

Dragy is accurate. Built in timer is not. Everyone likes to post built in timer results but almost no one posts stock C8 Corvette times on Dragy. There is a good reason why that is.😉
I’ve posted up dragy results publicly on my C8Z from the street. 10.8 @130 on the street consistently, 7.7 60-130. Ran consistent 10.7’s at the dragstrip but dragy wiped all my data from the track day before I could even look at it properly. Stupid app was having major problems.
@@bluebomber697 Dragy definitely had problems before. I think they fixed it this weekend. At least it is working for me now. I bet your built in timer says the car is a lot quicker than Dragy, right?
@@LearningFast I didn’t even use the built in timer tbh. I know for a fact it’s quite inaccurate so I didn’t even bother with it. I fully agree though, built in timer typically reports faster times than real life.

This is the ultimate car from Corvette. It's a shame that Chevy corporate didn't rein in the unscrupulous dealers.
Lucky for me I found Leach Wilson Chevrolet in Shelbyville IL. they are selling their corvettes at MSRP. Yes, even the mighty Z06 is at MSRP. I've been dealing with Aaron, but everyone at the dealership is just fantastic. Chevy should reward these dealers by providing them more cars, as they could sell them and make Chevy corporate look like they want buyers to have the cars.
I did have conversations with other dealers and one wanted to sell me a used Z06 for 218K. Golf Mill was the worst and the person I talked to was the most arrogant. I would never go back there.
I have owned 18 Corvettes in my life since 1969 returning from Nam
I have kept my 2019 ZO6, with 3,330 miles after the Dealership was asking an insane $90,000 difference for a new C8 ZO6, just took $46,000 to Hennessey and now with 1,050 hp I outrun even the 2019 ZR1 thats even fadter than the C8 ZO6. Believe me NOTHING BETTER OR FASTER! Look into this route for a much better looking and faster than this Video 😊
Corvettes went from a sports car to a full on supercar, beating huracans and Ferraris
Huracan is a 10 years old platform. And this thing for sure doesn't beat an F8 Tributo, except in a rigged race of course.
@@artansadiki3244 10 year old platform, the Corvette was never meant to be as fast as supercars and I know the c8 only beats the f8 from a dig not from a roll, but it beats the huracan from a roll aswell, and that's amazing considering the cars is way cheaper then most supercars, your getting more for your buck. And either if the huracan is a ten year old platform it still improved over the years
@@artansadiki3244 It’s a faster track car than the F8 Tributo. And in a drag race, only loses marginally on the top end. And the Huracan being old isn’t Corvette’s problem lol. The Z06 is the better car.
@@artansadiki3244 corvettes have always been labeled supercar killers. now it is a supercar that kills supercars. GM and Ford will always build faster cars, they started the automotive industry and make the affordable cars.

Chevy finish work on this Z06, but on the seats, i think it should be optional electronic or manual controlled racing seats.
If the weight saving is substantial it sure makes sense especially w/ the track version.
They should make a full track version with a carbon fiber monocoque

We definitely do have some great roads here in Tennessee. I live about 30 minutes from where you got on the parkway. It’s plenty of other fun roads if you explore around a little bit more. Also, I’ll gladly come drive your car while you’re not in Tennessee 😂
I watch Everything Autos from around Gatlinburg & some of them MT roads are only good for one vehicle. I'd be uncomfortable driving a nice vehicle around what I see there.

Flat-cranks sounds like a couple of four cylinder engines at the exact same rpm.
They got to fiddle with the header-lengths to make it sound like a V8, but then it will loose some power...

@@samspade8830 I paid MSRP Not $105, my msrp is like $136k. I had my deposit for almost 3years. My dealership has always been MSRP no mark ups.

It’s a better performance car than most entry level supercars such as the Huracan, R8, 570S. Interior is on par with those as well (better than 570S), not to mention much more reliable and easier to maintain.

Best spec! Corvette engineers really did an amazing job. As much hype the Z06 got, I think its underrated. I would bet Brooks agrees.
Drag race with the new Ludicrous Model 3, after it ships of course. Horsepower sounds very close to the Z06.
Ford gt still my favorite of your cars
Ford GT is just a beautiful design however, the basic interior (first released version) with no AC makes you scratch your head.

This is my first Z after a few base Z51 C6 and C7’s. I pick it up next week. I am a bit nervous with this much power, and keeping it under control as I learn how to drive it.
It’s actually safer to drive than the C7’s you are used to probably. Low torque, not like a C7Z, big wide tires and practically unlimited grip thanks to mid-engine. It’s very confidence inspiring.
I wish the c8 corvette had a bit bigger info screen. Too much black bezels

I don't think respect is needed Kawzx. The Stingray started in 1953 and is the longest running sports car brand in history. Number two behind Corvette is Porsche. Porsche with the 911 started around 1963.
