On the “slim body” style wrx (08-10 wrx non sti) you have to beat down on the bottom of the core support. If not the intercooler will interfere down there and eventually cut the aluminum core. I just bought my kit. Not a huge deal for me but should be noted. Once you bend it downwards you won’t be able to mount the bottom bumper brackets either. I haven’t gotten to the plastic under pan just yet and I hope I can put that back on. I need that on there
ETS is another great option. All depends on your end goal. Some customers prefer the cast endtanks on our intercoolers. People have been known to port our GS Kit for Speed Density IAT. Hopefully we can get you to come to the dark side in the future.
I have one too. Mine slightly touches the expansion tank so im going to put some sort of protector on it (aka tape) so it doesnt rub the plastic tube causing a hole.
I don’t have either of the pcv line the one on the drivers side is going into a Cobb AOS and the one by coolant reservoir I don’t even see anyone know anything?
Whats the specs on that air pump plug? I bought a used GS FMIC kit at the plug wasnt included. Does removing the air pump resivour effect the pump at all?
Not on the 08-10, the fog light housings and actual lights are just too big and orientation is too close. Doing what we did will allow you to run a smaller LED fog light, however if you're planning to delete the fogs altogether, you can just cut the housings out. P.S. Fog lights aren't an issue on 11-14 installation.
I live in California, most mods would get a state ref. Is this street legal in California? Would love to upgrade to this modification just don’t want to have to uninstall every smog check.
Mine didn’t come with it. Mind you, I have a narrow body WRX model and I thought maybe it was only meant for the STI. Mine was a struggle to put on and a lot of manipulating to make the oem plastic pcv pipe fit.
Just bought one I have a question. I have a etune already would install require a retune? Just curious if it would mess with a etune I saw where it says no tune required but I assume that’s stock. Thank you.
Tuning for any change in your system is going to be beneficial. In order to get the most out of your upgrade you'll want to tune for it. But it's not necessary.
These front mounts were designed to fit the 08-14 WRX and STI, so probably not a direct fit. It was not intended to fit the gf8. With some custom fabrication and modification you may be able to get it to work, but if you are looking for a direct fit, this isn't it.
We tried to cover everything in the video. If you are having trouble figuring something out, feel free to give our customer service team a call. They are happy to help.

Would of loved to purchase this kit, but went ETS. The Tial flange and AIT options sold me. Excellent piece nonetheless!!

@@GrimmSpeed I’m actually drilling out a hole in my pipes for speed density. Aluminum pipes is what sold me over the ETS 👍
I have an aftermarket radiator from mishimoto and its the pretty big . Do I have to downsize?

Do the fog lights actually go back in after all that trimming? Y'all put the trim back on in the video but leave the lights out.

Our intercoolers are not CARB approved in California. They are legal to run but you may run into issues with local smog laws.
Are you supposed to remove the top mount oem hood vent shroud?
It's not necessary but you can if you would like.
Do components for the new PCV hose come with the FMIC Kit? Will the car work without re-routing the PCV hose or the use of one?

They've been flying, but we do still have a few in stock if you're ready to pull the trigger!
Would this work for a 2010 wrx sti hatchback?
You may have to slightly modify the bumper if you have fog lights. But will work just fine.
will this work in my gf8? v5 ej205

I was wondering how
How to install?
Can the same fit in Subaru bl5 gt 2005
The fitment will likely be close, however we would expect some modification to take place in order to make it work.
At least give us a link of your products.
Good point. Links added in the video description!
you guys forgot how to do the cold side
on the wrx
