...depends on your application and how much boost/power your engine is making or. front mount will provide better cooling and handle higher power better. The top mount, although an improvement over stock, can still suffer from heat soak as it sits above the engine. Due to location and size, it cannot handle as much boost/power as the front mount. Stage 2 and above, front mount.
Hey guys! I have a question what i dont find anwsered... is it fits with the COBB red line intake? or they dont fit together? Thanks for future anwsers :)
Can run a top mount oil cooler. I've been running a fmic since 2015 and I ended up putting a top mount oil cooler. Fills in that spot nicely and is usable.
Why do people put money into these IMMINENT time bombs? Never known motors so frail and susceptible to cef. If you're going to toss money at a car that's going to make full use of insurance emergency towing policies, might as well just scrap the short block from start. I've owned a wrx (stock)and test drove a stage 2 on stock internals with fmi and the whole s2 package and was dyno at 340+- torque at 3200rpm and 405 whp at 6900 rpm and was only .800 seconds faster to 60, was faster from 60-135 mph by a bit more, a bit smoother in traffic, and only lost 4 mpg average, but honestly, when this thing will literally break before much more than loq 100k miles if your lucky, why even bother. I know TH-cam suckers think its unicorns and gumdrops and their favorite TH-cam car personality wouldn't warn them of these very real and likely outcomes, but I'm going to strongly advise anyone with these cars, be prepared to have it parked for a while if you aren't careful. TH-camr, feel free to try and correct me if you want, not my money being wasted, its your fans.
You mod your engine to 405 WHP on stock internals then act surprised when something breaks and say it's the stock engine's fault. Thats like chugging beer all night then acting surprised when you have to take a piss 😂
I got one of theses during the group buy that grimmspeed had and I've got to say I love it!
How much was it during the group buy??
@@francismarotta2301 it's been a while since I got it, if I recall correctly it was something like 30% off
Does swapping out to a front mounted intercooler void the OEM factory warranty?
DAMN BOI HE THICC!!!
Vibrant clamps would be great during that install.
Now what would be better grimm speed front mount or top mount?

I’ve got one on my WRX it’s awesome
It looks really cool is there one available for the WRX 2011?
Looks like a helluva project for someone to do solo without a lift.

I need upgrade my computer to install intercooler on my Wrx 2021?
Can y’all please explain in video or to me where to sand down so that the piping won’t press against the fog lights
Does it lead to turbo lag after installation?
what happened to this FMIC on the website? it was there around the same time this video was posted and now its not there anymore
I noticed that as well. I was interested in buying it and then the next day it was removed from the website for some reason...
Am I able to do this still with the hks recirculating valve not the bov ?
Will this work with a misomoto oil cooler installed
This is sick I need one
But then my hood scoop won't do anything anymore
Thats what I'm saying, im between this and top mount grimmspeed

You guys selling the used Mishimoto one? 👀
Does anybody know if the brz red metal intake manifold still has the holes for the mounting bracket
lit it looks breddy big good for that big boi stuff
Damn I have to do a hella horn delete? Not worth... XD
You mean your twin turbos
Dude the WRX manifold is FUGLY!!! Thank God I have a STi ... red for the win!
Is that a buffalo tattoo on your finger?
Like, from the drinking game.
With all the mods you have on this car, is there a reason you still have the stock turbo inlet?
Can you install an HKS BOV instead of a BPV for this? Or will it be bad for my 2021 Subaru WRX STi? Just curious...
Curious if you need to protune ?
Or is the stage 2+ good enough
Can I have one ?
*BEEP BEEP* SNOWFALL WARNING *BEEP BEEP*
It looks like a great intercooler, but i think its still over priced
it competes with the ets one which is the same price. I made a little over 400 with it
@@allyoucan69 I looked it up, I was mistaken. I thought the GS was over $2k. Does seem worth it now.
@@allyoucan69 on flex fuel?
@@alexpeguero38 of course
