I am actually pleased that the Pirate Master didn't fold like a bad poker hand when Shantae got her powers back. This right here, this is how you do a final boss battle.
(Ammo Baron's cannon scene) *Risky Boots:* Move it, you Lubbers! Get that cannon into position! *Vinegar:* Aye aye! *Twitch:* Ready to fire, Captain! *Risky Boots:* Hold for my order.....Steady now!
Becomes even more awesome when you realized that a replacement targeting module hadn't been acquired. It means one of two things: either Risky fixed it herself (not unbelievable given she keeps modding Mimic's steam engine), or more likely, Risky was EYEBALLING those shots with enough accuracy that she could hit the Pirate Master in the face with a castlebuster without hurting a hair on Shantae's head despite her whacking the Pirate Master around to keep him still.
I skipped most of it with the glitch skip, only ever attempted the scimitar dash one bc I could memorise the pattern easily and the scimitar dash was really fun to use
Same here, Pirate’s Curse was a masterpiece of a game and I’m glad they added it to Gold, as well as Half Genie Hero. Now, Shantae is now my 3rd favorite video game franchise of all time.

Yeah, the first phase is kinda lackluster (fitting, since is the only phase in the bad ending route), but, from the second phase it gets better, you lose all the pirate gear, then recover shantae’s genie power and have Risky commanding Twitch and Vinegar to shoot to the Pirate Master; all while you beat him and avoid (or cheeses) his attacks. And to think all of this was preceded by a great setting and a nightmarish final dungeon and culminates into THIS. Every moment of this is epic… and the ending that follows afterwards is satisfying.
Im 99.99 percent sure the pirate master has the highest health of any final boss of the shantae series his health in the second phase I think clocks in at 125,000 h.p
@@toypikachutheoctoling6029 Unfortunately, no. The 999 damage is just for dramatic effect to display Shantae’s power now that she’s half genie again. You still give the same damage and the Pirate Master still has the same amount of health in the other phases of the fight, that being 1000 HP
Here's a cheesy tip: wait at the left edge of the screen as he fires. Once the first cannonball bounces next to you, walk right with out stopping. Then, on the right side, wait for the second volley and walk left. This also works in the final phase, so you can easily get no-hit runs on this guy.
The Pirate Master is by far the most imposing villain in the series, even with the new game's main villain. This guy was just BRING ME THANOS levels of hype!
Kind of wished they kept Risky and Shantae's relationship the way it was going on through the game after this, with Risky maybe becoming more friendly to Shantae in future games. Half Genie Hero's Risky feels like a pretty cartoonish just being bad for the sake of being bad villain and it feels weird. She's still pretty cool in her story mode tho, i liked being able to play as her.
For me, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is the last canonically. Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero is a remake of the first game basically, so I think they're buddies afterwards lol
@@SirLamington it could of been had it not been for a segment in a friends to the end story where once they reace cape crustaceous Bolo and Sky talk about how Rottytops looks human and wonder if thats how she sees her but of course that only happened once Shantae found her on that island in pirates curse so it cant be canonically last
honestly HGH makes no sense character wise, like the game Shantae's all like "oh woe is me i'm worried i'm not good enough because i'm a HALF-Genie" and it's like...lady you just saved the world with literally no genie powers..why is this an issue for you anymore...
The characters are great,the music is epic,the writing is brilliant and the games are all around great games!! :D Shantae is more cute than hot really! Harmony is still the best woman in the Shantae games in my opinion

Pirate Master Spirit: Legend class, Shield Type, 13,900 Power, Support ( Critical Metal and Giant, takes up three support slots, but turns you giant and metal at high damage) Puppet Fighter: Sephiroth (Will be Ganondorf if Sephiroth has not been purchased) Conditions: Stamina Battle The enemy favors Smash attacks and Special Moves The enemy is giant and metal at high damage Sephiroth will always be in winged form. Stage: Unova Pokemon League (Omega form)
Here's my idea: Ganondorf (Blue and White alt) - a normal sized Ganon with mid health, then a giant Ganon with high health spawns after the first one is KO'ed Stamina Battle Team up with a CPU ally (someone to represent Risky... any ideas?) Getting all the Dark Magic just to experience the true ending was worth every moment!
