I know someone already mentioned this but Kel looks SO scary. Like sure everyone looks angry but Kel looks like he’s finally snapped. Maybe it’s just cause I’m so used to him smiling but yeah. When he’s just angry he looks mildly pissed but enraged? Even the small details like his hair is a little more messy, his eyes are widened and a different colour.... chills. This game is so well made! One of my favorite scenes to imagine is depressed Aubrey using a move like Beatdown or Power Hit, just imagining her sobbing and wailing as she crushes your face in with a mailbox.
@Chara DREEMURR yeah it makes you more vulnerable, so it's higher risk, but if you up hero's speed enough and do enough damage fast enough it doesn't matter
@@spinshocker not heros, its kel’s, hero is naturally the slowest of the party and will require a lot of work, kel is naturally the fastest, combined with cat ears he becomes a literal counter to sweetheart, Imo the best way to defeat anyone is to use Kel as a support/item user, Hero as a Healer, Aubrey as a Tank and omori as the damage dealer.
And focus in making only omori sad, I get it that making everyone makes more sense, but it takes a long time to make everyone sad without many items, so making kel use items that lower the enemy’s speed should make him able to always be faster than sweetheart, even in the manic mode, Making kel always heal the party before her attacks, and beating her easily.
This is how I played the game. Up until Space Boyfriend I was a good boy who used emotions as the situation called. Then I discovered the glory of Furious Omori, and I went full RP mode. Omori is mad at everyone, and he will slaughter you. Also, he wants to desperately murder Kel. (He annoys him every battle into fury)
I'm imagining furious omori trying to stare down sweet heart and being directly in her face, and she's trying to keep her personality in one piece, but she's just sweating bullets her her forced smile.
i literally don’t know how but somehow i’ve managed to beat the ENTIRE game without having Omori ever reach any tier 3 emotion. i saw space ex boyfriend reach furious and though “ooh i want an furious aubrey to use headbutt!” and when that didn’t work i though “oh i must not be high enough level!” and i never gave omori emotion, i instead gave him mock, trick, exploit, hack away. am i the only one who somehow managed this?

While we’re talking about emotions here, being sad will be helpful against Sweetheart, since sadness beats happy. As long as you keep Omori and everyone at depressed or miserable, you’ll find it easy to beat her when she reaches manic form. Only Omori can reach level 3 emotions, so keep him alive as much as possible.
There’s a weapon for Kel that gives +200 speed, and an item that quadruples speed for the battle, both of which are obtainable once Orange Oasis is unlocked. Used with flex and run n’ gun this can deal up to 13,000 damage, plus Kel has good speed in general, so it deals quite a bit of damage on its own.

Go to the place in Otherworld where Snaley first appears and go down to what looks like a room transition but isn’t. From there go left, up, left again until you reach a path in the trees. Go through that path until you find a giant TV. Walk down into the TV. You’ll see a girl. Talk to her, she’ll give you a list of things to get which can all be found in the Junkyard. You will unlock a Coffee machine which will have Coffee every once in a while. Second is the Chicken Ball, which you can get on three days left, but the enemies you have to fight to get are strong, so I HIGHLY recommend you wait until two days left. Go to the train station up past the lemonade stand, and board the train. You’ll get a short cutscene, and then you’ll arrive in Orange Oasis! Go to the giant pyramid and get a pyramid key and a silver spoon, save and start digging. If you don’t make it to the fourth floor of the dig site, load. At the top of the dig site, you’ll find a Chicken?? You MUST kill it in one turn with a priority move. If it flees, load. It will not respawn. If you kill it, it will drop the chicken ball. As an additional speed and luck bonus, if you slay 50 bunnies for Leafie, you’ll get a rabbit’s foot.

this is actually how i fought sweetheart without even meaning to. i forgot about the game for 8 months after the prologue, so when i came back to it i didnt know how the emotions worked. the only thing i somehow knew was that “angry=atk boost lol” so i went through the entirety of three and two days left with no knowledge about the weaknesses and stuff. i fought sweetheart with my entire party angry. somehow it only took me two tries, but its probably because i was insanely lucky😭 on the very last turn, i ended with everyone toasted except omori and i did just enough damage to kill her😟😟
Sweetheart is the reason I learned how emotions work. I never paid attention to the advantage/disadvantage stuff, Only the buffs/debuffs. And When I kept losing to sweetheart I finally realized why. Never again did I not pay attention to the emotion system.
Seeing everyone not understand that anger makes you lose defense and that happy makes you deal crits hurts me. I use emotions all the time and it makes fights so much better and interesting.
at first i underestimated how much your defense gets lowered from angryness and i forgot about emotional advantages so at first i was happy when sweetheart made my entire party enraged and then wondered how she oneshotted my entire team 💀
I was really lasy with emotions during my first playthrough (and still kind of are lol) so this was how I beat this fight too. Managed to defeat her on my 2nd or 3rd try thanks to all the food I'd been hoarding fahaha

I just wanted to comment again, saying that a more convenient method of winning would be to start with making Sweetheart sad, which would allow Shun to take effect, alongside doing Angry, since the rules don’t specify anything else. I might try beating Unbread Twins while Happy, but I might not record it. Edit: I won’t record it at all.
I been beating her with Happy team Basically use Aubrey Team spirit on Kel,use Kel follow up to make Omori happy and then just did spam Lucky Slice's and Run'n'gun with flex buff And also spam Tea time on Omori to keep his juice in check Hero did die one time,but im pretty sure it could've been worse possibly and he died mostly because i didnt clear his emotion status so he been enraged all the time so if make him also happy he should be fine
Ok so here's how this fight went I used Omori painful truth attack truth skill to mostly make sweetheart sad and than use kels megaphone skill to anger everyone used hero smile to make sweetheart hit him got some dialogue for him doing that skill on her than she went back to being happy than used kels megaphone skill again to enrage everyone but it was pretty easy cause she mostly hitted Kel for the battle
Once sweetheart becomes permanantly happy, thats when painful truth becomes overpowered since omori gets sad which causes an emotion advantage since sweetheart cannot get sad after a while

this is kind of a dumb theory and i’m probably just looking too far into this, but i have a thought that maybe there’s more to sweetheart’s character. i think that her and perfectheart both represent mari in a way. so we all know sweetheart’s obsession with being “perfect.” it’s subtly implied (not very subtly but you get the idea) that mari is, well, a perfectionist. when we remember people we’ve lost, we remember only really the good things about them. mari was probably like any other hormonal and nagging teenage girl. but sunny would probably represent her in his dream world as perfect because that’s what he viewed her as. she’s kind and loving and you don’t really see her get mad a lot. so that leaves us with sweetheart. maybe sweetheart is a much more dramatic version of the actual mari. i’m not saying she’s absolutely crazy and awful like sweetheart, but maybe her perfectionism and her aggression was mari’s. like i said before, very exaggerated, we all know mari could not have been that bad. then there’s perfectheart. created in sweetheart’s image, she’s represented as absolutely perfect. she’s kind and calm and sweet. so she’s basically created to be the perfect version of sweetheart, and maybe that kind of represents how sunny made basically a more perfect version of mari for his dream world. we can also see that perfectheart and mari had similar themes and backgrounds. again, maybe i’m just looking too deep into it, but it’s something i like to imagine.
Reminds me of how i never really thought specific emotions damaged some others more than they damage the other one (if you see what i mean) i found that shit out post slime girls so yeah after there's no more emotion locked boss :D (not counting bosses like unbread twins or stuff)

This is actually how I did it on my first try. I tried to manage emotions halfheartedly, and suddenly everyone was super pissed. I said “fuck it” and leaned into the extra damage. Then Omori went furious and dealt almost 1000 damage with a single Hack Away, slaughtering Sweetheart instantly. Peak gaming!

You should use curveball instead of run'n gun, damage curveball is based on attack and emotion, while run'n gun damage is based on speed

This is exactly how I played every boss, including sweetheart, got everyone enraged, wrecks everyone’s shit.

I just wanted to comment again, saying that a more convenient method of winning would be to start with making Sweetheart sad, which would allow Shun to take effect, alongside doing Angry, since the rules don’t specify anything else. I might try beating Unbread Twins while Happy, but I might not record it.

I been beating her with Happy team
Basically use Aubrey Team spirit on Kel,use Kel follow up to make Omori happy and then just did spam Lucky Slice's and Run'n'gun with flex buff
And also spam Tea time on Omori to keep his juice in check
Hero did die one time,but im pretty sure it could've been worse possibly and he died mostly because i didnt clear his emotion status so he been enraged all the time so if make him also happy he should be fine

Ok so here's how this fight went I used Omori painful truth attack truth skill to mostly make sweetheart sad and than use kels megaphone skill to anger everyone used hero smile to make sweetheart hit him got some dialogue for him doing that skill on her than she went back to being happy than used kels megaphone skill again to enrage everyone but it was pretty easy cause she mostly hitted Kel for the battle
Once sweetheart becomes permanantly happy, thats when painful truth becomes overpowered since omori gets sad which causes an emotion advantage since sweetheart cannot get sad after a while
You must be pretty overleveled to have megaphone at this point of the game lol

Sweethearts battle goes like this your either lucky or your unlucky it honestly depends if she misses since shes always happy
This is almost how I beat sweetheart, except i was horribly underlevelled, and managed to survive using Hack Away with Furious Omori.
This is the correct way to beat the boss and you can't convince me otherwise.
Also sweetheart insulting everyone is helping in this case, for once.

this is kind of a dumb theory and i’m probably just looking too far into this, but i have a thought that maybe there’s more to sweetheart’s character.
i think that her and perfectheart both represent mari in a way.
so we all know sweetheart’s obsession with being “perfect.” it’s subtly implied (not very subtly but you get the idea) that mari is, well, a perfectionist. when we remember people we’ve lost, we remember only really the good things about them. mari was probably like any other hormonal and nagging teenage girl. but sunny would probably represent her in his dream world as perfect because that’s what he viewed her as. she’s kind and loving and you don’t really see her get mad a lot. so that leaves us with sweetheart. maybe sweetheart is a much more dramatic version of the actual mari. i’m not saying she’s absolutely crazy and awful like sweetheart, but maybe her perfectionism and her aggression was mari’s. like i said before, very exaggerated, we all know mari could not have been that bad.
then there’s perfectheart. created in sweetheart’s image, she’s represented as absolutely perfect. she’s kind and calm and sweet. so she’s basically created to be the perfect version of sweetheart, and maybe that kind of represents how sunny made basically a more perfect version of mari for his dream world. we can also see that perfectheart and mari had similar themes and backgrounds. again, maybe i’m just looking too deep into it, but it’s something i like to imagine.

This is actually how I did it on my first try. I tried to manage emotions halfheartedly, and suddenly everyone was super pissed. I said “fuck it” and leaned into the extra damage.
Then Omori went furious and dealt almost 1000 damage with a single Hack Away, slaughtering Sweetheart instantly.
