I was very fortunate to have been a DST employee & got to know: Mr. Rowland, Mr. Haverty, Mr. Freestone & others at the KCS. I was allowed to witness the repairs, painting & "rebuilding" the Southern Belle from nothing to its final product. A round-end observation "Hospitality" is in Belton, MO. Being treated to a fine test kitchen meal sampling by the onboard kitchen was a taste buds delight. Thank you Mr. Haverty for bring the heart back to the KCS. The pride, grandeur & openess of the KCS so I could visit with the office staff & work deals for equipment donation(s). These the best years of my life.
