Excellent idea for a truly secure adhesion. I've often had glues fail me. Your explanation sheds light on why! I like your focus on quality components and workmanship 💝

Using flashing is fricken genius! It's much sturdier than cardboard and it's cheap too.

Awesome tips! I use layers of flashing inside my larger pieces as a sort of stabilizer. I also use recycled plastic pieces... Not a fan of paper or cardboard inserts. :) I've never made a pin, but now I want to! Thank you! ~Val

no cardboard for me either LOL (the thought almost makes me cringe) but some like to do that... their choice. I also use flashing for a stabilizer when I need to do that. :-)

Just love this tutorial. I live in the UK and would appreciate more details on the metal flashing you are using please as I can’t find anything similar over here that I can use. What type of metal is it please and what thickness is the metal. Thanks

it is aluminum, and is used for roofs. So, home repair shops, hardware stores, etc. I found some on Amazon too: www.amazon.com/AMERIMAX-PRODUCTS-70006-Galvanized-Flashing/dp/B000BQ8DPW/ref=sr_1_19?crid=3HPRF17IFCC76&dchild=1&keywords=roof+flashing&qid=1608560563&s=hi&sprefix=roof+flashing%2Caps%2C291&sr=1-19 thanks!

Thank you so much for sharing I love your videos. I have learned so much from you. I would like to know do you ever use gem stones that are kinda flat but not exactly flat? Is this possible to do I have a large amount of gem stones they are smooth but not exactly flat would love to bead around them but not sure if it is possible.
