277,000 miles here and still going strong. It’s a street legal go kart pretty much, I can throw it in the corners with no brakes and it stops on a dime cuz it weighs like 50lbs😭😭

My 2011 I bought new never had one issue with it. Still driving strong only replaced the oil and air filter. Front brakes once and shocks. That’s it. Been a great car.

if you're buying a used fiesta and you drive fast and you bought from somewhere like a rental place or previous owner a old lady I almost guarantee you'll be replacing the throttle within the first year. I bought my car 63k miles previous owner was old lady it was very well taken care of but was never driven past 80 most likely 😂 had to replace my throttle in the first 6/mo other then that no problems. I went thru Ford and paid 600$ and now that I know how easy it is to replace I'm crying 😂😂😂😂 thank you!

If anybody considering buying one used get the manual. 2011 here 117k miles 100% reliable. The original front rotors passed inspection every year until I change them recently. Even the headlights are original.

I have the 5 speed--super fun to drive and I get ~35MPG in town.
The water pump did go out.... but the good news is the one they replaced it with exploded so I got a free warranty-paid-for rebuild on my engine for the price of a water pump replacement.
Thanks for helping me catch my lower control arm issue before it got any worse.

Also don't forget about the PowerShift transmission if you go for the automatic version of any ford car from this gen. My mum's stopped working at like 50'000 km. There's also a class action against ford in the US and Australia regarding this.

As a fiesta 2013 owner, the only issues I had were:
-Once the engine fan blew and had to replace it, it was kinda expensive
-after 9 years of having the car, both left door window switches failed and had to replace them. However its not that expensive

My fiesta had the biggest problem with water leaking into boot compartment trough some unvisible holes. I put silicone every where and changed gaskets under stoplights. Another problem coolant leakage from heatwater housing

Have a 2017, with 73k miles now. So far the only big thing was the crankshaft sprocket failed which allowed the timing belt to start to slide away from the gears over time which could be very costly if left until it fully slides off. Thankfully it was very apparent from the scrapping noise made in the timing area where you might as well just do the whole timing work.

Feel lucky to be at 185k miles on my 2015 SE 4DR with no major transmission issues. Only things replaced so far are radiator fan/motor, fuel pump, ignition coil pack, spark plugs, brake pads and rotors, battery, and just today its serpentine belt. Not half bad for Michigan dealing with 30-60 min commutes winters. Until it won’t run it continues to run.

133000 on my 2011 fiesta sedan and a spark plug shot out of the cylinder head. Stripped. Apparently this is a rare thing on these?? Helicoil was not an option. I’m sure some garage monkey stripped it during a tune up. Also replaced the manifold/cadi. Still got a p0420. Going to do the two O2 sensors again. I got so much $$ it makes me sick but most all is service shop hours. Not parts. But it’s a great driver! 5 speed manual and I love it so much.

My car has low power and makes a buzzing noise at low RPMs with 10-40% throttle.
And it only is a problem with warm air. After a long driving session it occasionally has a rough idle. Couldn’t find a vacuum leak so maybe it’s the throttle or fuel pump.
Edit: Yes I had the DCT replaced.
Edit: When I say warm air, I mean warm weather. It does get worse after I drive it a bit, but it can be it can happen immediately after start up and is almost nonexistent in weather under 78F.
