I'm a 50-year-old American woman who moved to the UK with my English husband and our two teens back in August 2021. I failed my first driving test in December 2022 due to a pedestrian who seemed to come out of nowhere at a zebra crossing. (My driving examiner and I both gasped upon her sudden appearance.) I've been driving to, around and from Taunton (the site of my test this morning) for 27 hours (10 with my driving instructor and 17 with my husband) during the past month and a half to help prepare me for my second test. I've watched many of your videos, Aman, to help me learn more. When I saw this video titled "HOW TO PASS YOUR DRIVING TEST" was going to be available just after midday yesterday I was stoked. I mean, what great timing! I'm VERY happy to say I did pass my driving test this morning with NO faults!! When my driving examiner told me I passed he said it so nonchalantly and just to make sure I heard him correctly I said, "Pardon?" or "Could you please repeat that?" (Or maybe I just wanted to hear those sweet, sweet words again. ;) Hee hee) Anyway, I just wanted to express my gratitude to you, Aman, for posting these videos to help all of us become better drivers, especially those of us who don't live near you and for whom it isn't feasible to take instruction from you in person. Good luck to all of those taking their driving tests soon. I'm sending positive vibes out into the world for you! :)

To everyone who’s about to have his driving test, you will get your license! Even if not on the first try! There’s no need to rush into that, I’m sure you will get it eventually :) I myself did it just on the 3rd try so take that as a confident boost!

BUT just think about that one year not being able to drive in comparison to the rest of your life. If you got it, it just seems ridiculous that you stressed out yourself bc of this.

Great drive and he seems such a lovely lad too. ❤ I missed the live but I think you needed Aaron's admin near the end there while that angry Oscar was going on and on about the other video. What didn't he get about not stopping when a pedestrian is waiting to cross that isn't on a crossing...
I do understand ( this is another issue) why I never learned to check the blind spot . I did apply for lorry driver license as my first. Got a job as a driver of them ( lorries when i were19 and did it for many years) and it's quite hard to find the blind spot if there isn't any. Try to look thru the cargo). Of course i'm now a days civil and only drive my own car, which is an old Ford Mondeo. So these days I have to learn to watch out for the blind spot . It's hard to learn a old dog sit but not impossible. Love You anyway and please don't think mad of me. You are the best driving teacher I ever seen . Thank You for the videos and stay safe.🤗💜
Well done on a good test! A nice looking pert of the world to be driving around. The test here in Ireland is to a similar standard, more than 8 minors (what we call “grade 2’s) is a fail though!! Another great video. (I always recommend your videos to my students (even though it’s the UK, a lot is similar.)❤

I passed today in Lee on the Solent, even though your videos are in a different area of England of course a lot of the principles are the same and I just want to come and say thanks for the helpful content as I will still continue to watch as I'm still learning now that I'm on my own ahah :')

I failed first time. My major was because I had a two lane dual carriage way. The left lane had parked cars. So I stayed in the right overtaking lane. When the left lane was free. I didn't move over, and stayed in the right lane. It was for maybe a minute I was in the overtaking lane. I also thought at the end of this road I was turning right as it was the independent bit of the exam. I muttered this during my test. Examiner failed me for staying in the overtaking lane. There was none who undertook me, or even anyone driving near me Fair?

Would you fail if you drive over the white bit in a mini roundabout? My instructor said you cannot, but it looks like he driver over a couple times at the beginning of the video, but no faults were recorded.

You do have beautiful hands and fingers which I dare say, makes me want to look at your fingers, especially when you wiggle them and point down saying comment down below, honestly that blows my mind.😂 Love your videos, you have an incredible personality and wish you all best
No way my man got a minor steering control going at 7km/h and nearly stopped during traffic jam because hes grabbing his wheel from resting his arms on the legs. Instructors in the UK are unbearable. My man literally has his foot on the brakes and clutch the entire time considering how slow traffic jam is going, yet STEERING CONTROL is a problem when hes going fully straight at the speed of a baby walking. Fucking unbelievable. Also turn signals for pedestrians? What a joke. This is why i hate Road laws. The biggest irony is the fact they're teaching you all this yet all cars around you doing absolutely nothing of that, yea sure lemme just do something nobody else does, for example in my country theres a law that nobody can park their vehicles on the curb. YET EVERYONE DOES, EVERYWHERE. So they expect me to follow that? Yea. The moment i got my license 50% of the bs i learnt i was so happy i did not have to care about anymore. They should make driving instructors not loose time teaching a bunch of useless bs honestly.

Good drive for a qualified driver. Normally once they pass the test, newbies start lapsing into bad habits.
I am guilty of this, i follow 90% of the rules but sometimes when cruising down the motorway i tend to steer with one hand.

There is a 4-6 month wait between tests atm in Birmingham so the stress is not being able to pass the test this year if I fail 1st attempt

The safe travelling distance don’t exist after passing test. Pretty much only learners keep the distance
A small tip for punjabis- play sidhu moosewala while driving. It will boost up your confidence.
