We finished the year winning 5 of 8 and playing ridiculous good defense. Not to mention we had 4th quarter leads in a couple of those losses as well. So basically, and I feel like I can speak for most Bears fans right now, what we really want to happen is for the Team to keep that same dam energy that they finished last year with. Winning, playing good Def, and for the first time in idk how many years but the team felt connected. I feel like that’s why a lot of ppl didn’t want to change anything. We wanted to ride that vibe out bc it felt good, it was new, it was fresh, it was positive, we felt together, and it was love. Now it’s looks like all they’ve done is just expanded on to that so now we just want to embrace the improvements and keep that same vibe going and if we’re able to do that then for the moment it doesn’t matter where it would end bc now that the rabbit is exercising his first amendment, we’re sitting back relaxing and getting ready to enjoy one hellava ride. Obviously things seem great on paper and I feel like the Bears with that squad can be a great 9-8 or 10-7 team and make the playoffs, but who knows how those rookie growing pains will affect the wins and losses. Now, my reality and expectations? I’m happy as long as the team improves with a solid locker room and the QB shows us in year 1 after the growing pains that he is the franchise savior. I’m from the Bay Area in Cali so maybe not in 2025 but shooooot February 2026 I’ll expect to see them at Levi’s for a Super Bowl 😏

@@JWLSports again, I don’t get too hyped or stressed over OTAs and preseason and training camp performances because it’s soo day to day and very much so, period to period. I’ve seen players at a pro camp get lit up in 7 on 7 and then go kill it back team and or 1 vs 1 and vice versa. There are always players and or teams that have wonderful preseason games and get beat up in regular season. Especially in todays game with only 2 pre season games and no starters really playing, I like to see how guys are doing in inter squad practices.
For the Bears to win the SB , they have to play flawless football and CW has to have a season that NO rookie QB has ever had . Players have to have career years and no injuries for CW to take them to the SB . Myself an above .500 year with noticeable improvements through the year will be great .
The defense just crushing every division team, so Caleb does not have to play hero ball. Let the D carry the team, let Caleb develop slowly then get offense rolling like miami . Lots of pre snap motion and make impossible for opposing defenses to cover. Lots of hype to expect.

There have been many less talented rookies that have made the playoffs in recent years and if he is half the QB they say he is we should be in the playoffs. You could have a slightly below average QB and still make the playoffs with that roster so he should make the playoffs or it's disappointing.

Eberflus needs to show 1) that he can get the team ready at the start of a season and 2) that he can close out wins in 4th quarter. 10 or 11 wins
