The slander Hurts gets is criminal. All he does is win but everyone just wants to overlook it. It’s weird. When you need him to make plays, he does. When he makes a mistake he comes right back and atones for it. He’s done it his whole career. He also makes the run game better because his threat to run puts the defense in a pickle. Lastly he has to deal with getting a new OC every year. Even in college he had to deal with this.

He was being rather inconsistent with his criteria. For most of the QBs he took into account the team they are on. But when comparing some like Justin Herbert he just made a direct comparison. I agree that Herbert is better than Bo Nix, but Herbert has a long term contract with the Chargers. That is a pretty significant factor for overall success.

Yea Colin has said this a few times now about that the first 15 is all about the coaching and the rest of the game is now more so about the players. You are soo right that this this fundamentally wrong by Colin. Those first 15 are not plays that you are hoping for chunk plays or big splashes or to move down the field and dominate. They have some of those elements sure, but it’s more for to see what will and won’t work and what defensive looks you will get so that later in the game you can come back to those plays because you have a strong sense of what kind of coverages, fronts, maybe a certain blitz. These first 15 are also to get a sense of how the DCs will call games. You are soo right about your point to Andy Reid. Philly wins. Philly and Hurts play well against good teams. Most of Eagles losses over the last 3 years came from teams they were favorites over. When Hurts had to go against juggernauts they’ve won or lost by 3 like the Super Bowl.

You have to have noticed by now that even though he seems like a good guy and I like him, Wildes has some of the worst takes in sports media! Also, every team he rallies behind seems to immediately fall apart.lol. About Daniels, I was seriously hoping that Daniels fell to my Pats at #3, but I am pleasantly surprised by Drake Maye and more than happy with him moving forward! Daniels has changed the fortune of Washington, but new ownership and Quinn+culture and staff, along w/added roster has absolutely helped him! Daniels is an amazing athlete and his arm is alot better than ppl gave him credit for! He can make every throw and has touch when he needs it. He also looks to throw first. My worry with him just like many have worried....is if he can survive the rigors of the NFL w/his frame and even though he has yet to miss a game.....he hasn't been the same since that hit to the ribs! There have been times he normally runs that he hasn't,either because he has been warned against it or doesn't want to take another beating,but his legs make him dynamic and on a team that needs help, that part of his game is necessary for them to have success! As for Drake Maye, everything that was supposed to be a question,just hasn't been. He is obviously physically talented. He has an absolute cannon, makes ppl miss and can pick up yds on a would be sack. You also don't worry when he gets hit the way you do with Daniels. He is a humble and likable kid and the team rallies behind him. He is a leader. And the question about his footwork and making the routine throws.....he hasn't had those issues. All of this with the LITERAL worst O-line in the NFL and the only help he has on offense aside from a decent running back is Demario Douglas, who should be a slot guy that we have running as a #1 at 5"8" and TE Hunter Henry who is a complimentary type large target w/decent hands. Yet Maye makes plays and keeps things interesting. Once he gets some help, he has the make up and talent to be great. I wish our fatheaded owner didn't run Belichick out of town after ONE horrendous year w/half our starters on I.R, because he was jealous of the praise he got and resented being kept out of team meetings etc. of his own team! NINE Superbowl trips and SIX titles earned him that to me. What he could do w/Maye........I hate thinking of it as it's depressing! Mayo isn't a good head coach,flat out!
