3 Inch Lift Kit Install And NEW Toyo Tires! Ready For Off Road Adventures! - 02 Grand Marquis

  • In this video I install a 3 Inch lift kit on my 02 Mercury Grand Marquis ( same as the Ford Crown Vic ) with new shocks, and some larger Toyo Open Country A/T III tires for that off road GRIP! I give a general overview of what parts you will need and how to install them. Plus some tips and tricks to make the job easier. I also fabricate a little on some dropped sway bar mounts to correct the geometry. I do some budget friendly make over stuff while I'm at it - like sanding and spray painting my wheels and patching some rust. In the next installment of this series I plan to work on some exterior upgrades, like tube bumpers, a roof rack, and LED lighting upgrades.

    Do you think the tire size that used for the rims could be used on a crown Vic without the 3 inch lift? They look very close, I am getting the 3 inch lift but it will be a while before I can install the lift, I do also plan on removing the front and rear bumper (covers/bumper) for the cool look of the black inner protective bumper frames for a more mad max look and to eliminate the need to trim any need to make space all together. Do you think those rims will fit height wise under the fenders and with the bits towards the doors?

    • @EvanWells07

      @@EvanWells07 okay I’ll have to mock it up and just see, I am prepared to hammer in any of the wheel wells if necessary, main thing is if it would fit height wise towards the upper fender well witch if I really have to I’ll cut it and get some fender well skirt covers or whatever they are called

    • @EvanWells07
      @EvanWells07  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not 100% sure. It would be R&R on the front struts, rear coils, and rear shocks at the minimum. Using an average of $100 an hour at probably 2.5 hrs for the front and maybe 1.5 on the rear labor time... Around $400ish in just labor. Again this is all a guess without looking up actual labor times. Then you will also need an alignment after, so thats probably around another 100ish?

      I don't really do side jobs as I barely have time to work on my own stuff. Any repair shop should be able to do the work for you, and I'd be glad to help with any questions you might have.
