    What are you up to now ? What schooling have you completed. I'm a massage therapist and want to expand my skills. I already work alot with athletes and treat various injuries. I've done research beyond massage and looked into physical therapy and incorporate it into my own training as well as my clients personal training.

    Thanks for your information! I'm interested in Sports therapy program in the UK and nearly coming there to study. What if Sports therapy job is not so much available in the UK, which country should Sports therapists move to for a job?

      Great question, I’ve heard there’s jobs in Australia and Canada as well. However please do check yourself. Not many countries recognise sports therapy

      @@Physihop thank you for getting back to me i just want to make sure how competitive is to get into masters in physiotherapy with a sports therapy degree because i want to become a physiotherapist and work in the NHS however i have been rejected by nearly every single university because the spaces are full and they said they will give me sports therapy however i know that i wont be able to have a stable job so it worth taking the risk?
      thank you

      Honestly it’s mainly about how well you answer the questions, your experience and you being able to explain what physiotherapy is. I didn’t get in my first time applying to the masters

    I'm a physiotherapist with bachelor degree. As a international student in want to do my master's in uk. But I'm little confused with the courses. May i know your insights about msc in sport physiotherapy?

    • @Physihop

      What course do you want to do?

    • @Physihop
      @Physihop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t think we have a sports physiotherapy course MSc course. Like you mentioned we have sports therapy or sports rehab. So for your masters you’ll need to do one these to specialise into a sports physiotherapist since you’re already a physio. I’m currently doing the same thing except I done sports therapy first and now doing my msc in physio

    I need some advice, so I am starting a sports therapy undergrad course this September but I’m now very hesitant in this degree since the job opportunities with this degree is very little. Would you recommend taking a gap year (I’m 20 btw for context I took my college course late and got DDM) and apply for physiotherapy courses for next year or do this sports therapy course and apply for a masters in physiotherapy after?

    • @zainabibraheem

    Is there a PhD in physiotherapy??? If yes, is it possible for someone with an MSc in Sports Therapy to pursue that??

    • @Physihop
      @Physihop  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think there is in the UK, Double check. And with an MSc in SPorts therapy I don’t think you would be able to since PhD is mainly for research

    Hiii love this video I’m currently intrested in this subject and I intend to take sports therapy at uni -however do you think I should take physiotherapy or should I do sports therapy and then a physiotherapy degree after?

    • @Physihop
      @Physihop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly, if you can get into physiotherapy then I’ll recommend that. If you can’t do then do sports therapy. Reason being is that you’ll have better job prospects and recognised all over. But sports therapy is a good step into physio if you can’t get in

    I'm a sports therapist. Some of this info is incorrect. The difference is sst sport therapy is apart of SEM professionals (sports and exercise medicine) this type of medicine is for anyone with a body, not just athletes. We use a sports medicine model of healthcare to optimize physical function and health, whereas physiotherapy utilities the medical model to treat disease.
    Both Sports Therapist and physios do rehab. Both have different opportunities and different skills, however there are similarities.
